LOVEfluencers LIVE: Day 5 Authentic A-Lister Challege

Noelle Russell and Jim explore procrastination through the "gremlin" metaphor, a fight-flight-freeze response that self-criticism worsens. They outline a three-step fix: plan for it, recognize the cues, start with a five-minute action. Noelle then walks through monetizing a personal brand using webinars, a value ladder, and community accountability.

need to be doing, he starts— I feel like he's going crazy. He's just like, Dad, wait, what about this? And what about that? And this and this. So there was, there was, uh, just to give you an example, there was one in this other challenge that Noelle Russell Russell and I were doing, uh, we, again, accountability partners, decided that we would do a live video every day in this, in this group. So I was— it was come time to do my live video, and, and I was, I was doing a little meditation thing, and, um, just to kind of get myself ready and motivated and whatever. Uh, and all of a sudden, uh, it was one of those snap out of it moments. I found myself, oh, I'm over here writing things down, or I'm doing something completely different, and, and I'm totally out of my, uh, you know, the, the video that I was going to do. I'm totally out of my task. And, and really, it was those— it was one of the strangest things because I could feel like my body was like getting tense, and I was like jittery, and I wanted to run away. And, you know, because I didn't want to do this video. I wanted to do all everything else. And it was like, it was like this little gremlin realized, like, he's about to do this. I gotta run. I gotta do any, anything I can to, to get him to stop this. And so that's, that's how I kind of feel, um, about this procrastination thing. It's this little guy in my head who's, who's screaming and kicking and yelling, and you know, you need to stop doing that. So, uh, but what's important to understand about this gremlin and about procrastination in general is that this little gremlin actually thinks he's trying to protect us from something. So he's not a bad guy. He actually thinks he's doing the right thing. Like, because when we procrastinate, it's because we're doing— we're going to do something that, uh, is uncomfortable to us, and— or something we just don't want to do, or it's something new. And because it's new, we're not used to it, and that makes us uncomfortable. Uh, new things can also lead into unknown circumstances the fear of the unknown pops up. Uh, it can also be like fear of not getting it perfect. I'm a perfectionist, and I know that that's one that really stops me, is like, but, but I gotta, you know, it gets overwhelming. I got to do all these things because it got to be exactly right. And so when that happens, when we get into this, um, this fear state, our flight, fight or flight mechanism kicks in. But there's also a freeze, which I've recently found out. So, um, there's, uh, when you, when you get stressed out, you go fight, flight, or freeze. So sometimes when you're overwhelmed, you just stop, you just don't do anything. Sometimes you try to run away, you know, and sometimes, sometimes you just get angry with it, or, you know, there's, you know, you guys are all familiar with fight, flight. So when our little gremlin sees that, hey, there's something that, uh, is coming up that's uncomfortable, and it it kicks off this stress mechanism, and that is where procrastination comes from. So we are trying to run away from this task, or we're trying to just stop, just stop everything and freeze. Uh, and, um, that is— sorry, this is cool, I see all these little, these little messages coming up, but then I wait, what's that, what's that? So I get a little bit distracted. But, um, so, uh, procrastination— what I'm getting at is I don't want to unpack like everything with our subconscious mind and how this all works today. But what I want— I wanted to let you know that because, uh, so you kind of go easy on yourself. Like, this is not something that you're doing to actually self-sabotage. It's your subconscious mind, it's its way of trying to protect you from something real. It's all— but, but that's how it feels when we get stressed out. So, um, I want to make sure that you understand that procrastination is not about not having enough willpower. Or people being lazy. Sometimes we tell ourselves that and like, I can't believe I did that again. Like, God, I'm so lazy. Or like, I just can't, you know, I just can't push through. I don't have the willpower to do that. And we kind of get really, we get down on ourselves. And that is something that I urge you to avoid as much as you can. Because the thing about that is when we get down on ourselves, I mean, think about when somebody yells at you, like you certainly don't feel motivated. To go do something new. You certainly don't feel excited that, yes, all right, good. I, you know, you're feeling bad about yourself, so you're not— you're in even less— you have even less chance now of actually doing that thing. And that can kind of spiral into even worse procrastination. Uh, so go easy on yourself. This is something that you're going to be able to practice over and over and over and over again in your life. And the, the, the more you catch yourself doing it Sorry, I'm getting ahead of myself a little bit. This comes later. But every time you catch yourself procrastinating, instead of beating yourself up, just pat yourself on the back for actually recognizing that you, that you did that. Oh, hey, wait, what happened? And then maybe kind of look back and like, okay, wait, what happened? This all of a sudden, you know, this thought popped in my head and I had to write this idea down and it took me in a totally different direction. Or I just, you know, I just laid on the couch and watched TV or however, however this happened for you, recognize that it did happen. And if you can see the way that, uh, it progressed, that will help you as you go and try and, uh, deal with this procrastination. Because that's, that's one of the steps in, in my strategy for, for overcoming this. So just remember that breaking this pattern and this habit is, like I said, just something you have to practice, and, and you'll get— so instead of seeing these moments as you know, some, something horrible. See it as an opportunity. This was an opportunity, a chance to, to try out my whatever strategies you come up with for, for overcoming your procrastination. So, so let's get into that, shall we? I apologize for talking fast again. I know I talk really, I really get going. I have a, like, I just really, I get excited about this and I'm actually really excited to be here. And thanks to Noelle. I didn't say that earlier, but thanks to Noelle for having me on. So, uh, how do we stop this procrastination? Or how do we, how do we deal with it? Um, our job is to overcome this, uh, this little gremlin in our mind, right? So we want to, we want to calm this guy down. We want to, um, just make sure he understands that we're safe and everything's okay. So, um, how do we do that? Uh, so I've come up with sort of 3 things to, uh, 3 sort of over a big overview is, uh, step 1 is to plan ahead. Okay, so you know this gremlin is going to show up, you know these things are going to happen, you know you're going to get this feeling inside of you of running away or freezing. So if you know that, then come up with a strategy for dealing with it ahead of time so that when you do feel this feeling in the moment, you're not trying to decide what should I do, what, what should I, you know, where, where am I going, what, uh, and then it just gives that little gremlin the time to say like, okay, let's go over this way, you don't really know what you're doing anyway. So, so let's just go this way and forget this whole thing. Uh, so if you plan ahead, a good strategy, um, that's step 1. Step 2 is recognizing this feeling or whatever happens to you when your gremlin shows up. So recognize the, um, the feelings of your procrastination or how your procrastination comes up for you. So it might be— again, I'm probably repeating myself 100 times, but, uh, I'm trying to give you little examples because that way, you know, maybe One thing works for somebody and doesn't work for somebody else. But, um, uh, I actually get physically like, like shaky a little bit, which I think is my— it could be either my, uh, my freeze, or it could be my flight, right? I just want to run around or whatever. Um, so, uh, so when you— the better you get at recognizing this, the better it— the easier it will be to say, okay, I'm in that state right now. Wait, what are my strategies? Okay, I have this, I have this, I have this, I have this. Um, you know, I just think about my motivating factors. I, I, I'm not going to get into all of them because, uh, I promised that I would stick to one. And so it's not easy for me to do, but I promised I'd stick to one. Okay, so the strategy that I want to talk to you about today is just getting started and getting moving with a project or an activity. So, um, The thing about getting started is that that's the hardest part of any task. So it could be starting your business, it could be starting writing a book, or it could be something like, I want to start exercising. And it's— it could be on a macro level, you know, a whole project thing, or it could be even like, here's my workout day, I don't want to work out, so what do I do to get started? Like, I, you know, there's, there's again this procrastination thing of like, this is going to be uncomfortable because working out is kind of painful, so I want to go do anything else I can. So how do you, how do you move past that, um, and, and actually get, get things started? Because once we get started, we have the momentum and things will kind of naturally start to flow. But the trick is that starting point. So we want to get moving so that we can, we can get to that flow point. So some people, uh, I wanted to add this in here because some people say Just do it, right? Just do it. That's, that's— I've seen this, you know, in Facebook things, you know, how do you overcome procrastination? People say, oh, just do it. And, and when I hear people say that, I, I kind of cringe. It kind of makes me want to scream sometimes because I feel like if it was that easy, number one, don't you think I would have done that already? And number two, there really wouldn't be any procrastination. If you said, well, you know, oh, there's this thing that I've been putting off and putting up—
oh, just do it.
Oh, oh, well, why didn't I think of that? You know, like, oh, just do it, just go. Oh, okay. So it, to me, it feels like the word, uh, dummy should be at the end of that. Just do it, dummy. You know, and that doesn't make me feel like, oh yeah, okay, good. Um, so that gives me no inspiration at all to go and do what I actually have to do. It actually makes me feel worse. And like we talked about, I feel worse about myself, and now I'm really not motivated to go do this. So just do Just Do It. I think it's the word just that's the problem, because, um, ultimately the doing it is what we're talking about. Of course the answer is do the thing, right? That's it, do it. But to say just do it, like, it's so simple, it's just so easy, it just— you can tell it, it really grates on me. So, um, I've— this particular strategy talks about, uh, kind of easing ourselves into doing that thing. And one thing I guess I'll say about the Just Do It thing, there are certainly times when that's appropriate. You know, if you're getting into a swimming pool and if you walk, you know, one step at a time and you're going like inch by inch, it, it's much harder than just jumping in. You jump in and you're in. Um, so there are definitely times when that strategy works. And if that strategy works for you, then, then great. Absolutely, whatever works for you. You know, if my things work, then great. If you have something else, even better. Whatever. The point, you know, the whole objective is to get us past this thing. I don't care how we get there. So if you like just it, then great. Um, I just have a little problem with it. So, uh, the strategy for getting started is, um, so one, the first step is, uh, um, sorry, I got once again distracted. First step is breaking your, uh, project into smaller pieces. Okay, and I guess I'll back up for just a second to say that this particular strategy kind of relates to, um, like a bigger task that you've been putting off. It would really wouldn't wouldn't, um, factor in when you're talking about like doing the dishes or like mowing the lawn or something. You know, this is more for like a bigger project, maybe again starting a business, writing a book, uh, maybe starting a podcast. We talked about that earlier in the week, uh, that kind of thing. So step number 1, break your project down into smaller pieces. And I've heard this a lot also about helping with procrastination, but when I've heard it, it they really never say why. Like, why? Well, just break it into smaller pieces, you know. Again, that word just, but breaking into smaller pieces, that helps. So, uh, as we get into this, you'll see why you need to do this. I'll explain a little bit about my personal— what I found as my why for doing this, um, and we'll get into that in a second. So break it into smaller pieces. Uh, then you want to set aside a block of time specifically to work on this project. That can be an hour, it can be a half an hour, um, Ideally it would be, I would think, not shorter than a half an hour because you want to get yourself, give yourself time to kind of get into that flow and get things moving. And if you only have 5 minutes or 10 minutes, then it's not, you know, you don't really have time to really dig into something. So, um, again, for these bigger projects, so I would say half an hour or something like that. So the, the reason we do this is this makes sure that we have this time specifically for this task or this project. So what that does for our little gremlin is that takes away a huge part of his arsenal. A huge part of the arsenal— might be a bad word, but I've been watching a lot of Game of Thrones lately, so arsenal comes to mind. So, um, uh, a huge part of his little, uh, arsenal is distracting you. So he says, hey, um, well, you were going to do the dishes, or hey, you got to wrap that present, or hey, you had to decorate this, or hey, you got to make that. And when you have that block of time set aside, that really takes, uh, that power away, that particular thing away. And that's a big part of it for me, is just getting distracted by other things. But, and, and that also means, you know, put your phone away, put, you know, no Facebook, no, no TikTok, no Instagram, none of that stuff. So you put that away and you just focused on your one task. So, um, so then the next, maybe the, the most important step is, um, you make an agreement with yourself and with your gremlin that, uh, you're going to commit to only doing one small thing or working for just a little bit of time. Okay, so like, I'm, I'm just going to do this for 5 minutes. We're going to get— we're just going to do this one little thing. We're going to open our computer. I'm going to type out the first sentence of my whatever I need to write on my blog post or whatever. Um, and that's all that I have to do. That's all I have to be in charge of right now. So, uh, after I'm done with that, I'll see how I'm feeling and where things are, like I feel things might be going, and I make a decision at that point whether or not I'm going to continue. But, uh, but this is all I'm going to do. So this is kind of a little trick for your mind. And I almost feel like I should be like whispering, like, don't tell yourself, but this is how it's gonna— this is what it's gonna do. Um, it, it takes a lot of pressure off yourself to think like, oh, I got all, all this stuff, it's kind of overwhelming. So that's, that's one thing. So it takes the pressure down of like, it's not overwhelming, I'm just going to do 2 push-ups, that's it. So I don't have to do the whole workout, I'm just going to start with 2 push-ups. Um, It also calms your— calms your little gremlin down. And don't worry, don't worry, guy, you don't have to get all upset. I'm just going to do this one little thing, you know, just this one little thing. We'll see where— kind of see him go like, well, all right. So, um, what this does is it gets the ball rolling. So once you get started, uh, you're going to find that you get a little bit of momentum, um, and that momentum is kind of like a giant boulder at the top of a hill, you know, it's not going to go anywhere until you push it. But once you push it, it goes down the hill and that momentum picks up and picks up. And, and what you'll find is after you do 2 push-ups, you're like, well, I'm here, I already have the time, I've started, so why don't I just go to the rest, either rest of my push-ups or my whatever, uh, sit-ups, or, you know, whatever it is, you know, you move on to. So, and when you're writing, like, okay, well, I wrote the first paragraph, so, but now I got this idea and this idea popped into my head and it just kind of keeps going. And so So you want to get into that, get that flow going. So, uh, this is why we broke our task earlier into smaller pieces, because when you do one small piece, um, you can, uh, you can finish up that little small piece, but then you don't want to get to a point where you go, hmm, well, now what? I've worked for like 5 or 10 minutes, I got this thing done, uh, now I don't know what to do, because that gives your guy a second a chance to, to jump back in and say like, oh, you don't know what to do? I've got things, things for you to do here. We could do this, we can do that. You don't want to give him that opportunity to jump in and start diverting your attention. So when you have these things broken into little tasks, you just, you know, okay, then I move the next task, I move to the next thing. I, you know, I have the blog post written, okay, I need to post it now. So I post it up there. Then I need to go to my, uh, social media and put it on there. Hey everybody, the blog post is posted, whatever, you know, whatever it is, these small little pieces, uh, that way you don't give your guy a chance to derail you, and you don't give your own— yourself, obviously. It's not— there's not actually a guy, but you know, it's a little— anyway, so the reason— I kind of touched on this earlier, but you want to make sure that you set aside enough time that you can expand these little— this little task that you started into something bigger and give yourself a chance to build up some momentum and some flow. So that's my tip for today. I am sort of like— I'm working on a course about this whole thing. It's not, it's not done yet, but, but it's kind of in the process because I want to put all this stuff together. I think, I think it'll help myself, it'll help a lot of other people. So, so that's it for now, I guess. I don't have like a landing page or something you can subscribe to right now because my webpage is kind of under construction right now, but Uh, it's— if you send me an email, if you want to hear more, like, I'll subscribe you to my newsletter, and I'm going to have a little top 10 procrastination tips flyer that I'm coming out with. But if you want that, you can email me at support@buildyourgreatlife.com, all one word, dot com. So, and then I'll send that out to you. So thanks for listening. I apologize, I think I probably went over because I just keep talking. But, uh, but that's it. I hope you guys got something out of it. And I hope it helped.
So thank you so much. My pleasure. There we are.
Oh, there you are.
I'm so glad. That was only a second that I did the switchy thing. I'm so glad you did this. Thank you so much. I invited Jim because I just, I know I personally on occasion struggle with procrastination and it's just so great to hear some tips from someone other than me. So thank you so much for being willing to jump in on our wonderful, fun Black Friday. Great job.
Thank you so much.
I did, uh, put your email support@yourgreatlife.com. So yeah, so anyone who wants to reach out, just reach out to Jim. It's great to just get a couple reminders on a weekly basis of like, how could we stop from stopping? So I think it's awesome. Thanks so much for your help.
Okay, thanks, Noelle.
And I don't know if anybody's got questions or whatever, but, uh, yes, well, I left it open, so you're here, so I you could always, uh, I'll let you know by bringing the question up on the screen and you can answer it. But Danny, I will tell you, um, I'll show Danny's.
She was like, awesome, thank you!
So thanks, Danny. And she also asked earlier if there was, um, a recording available, and there will be a recording available after this, uh, once we— every time I close the session, a recording gets created, and then post it. So I'll be doing a lot of editing over the weekend. But thank you all so much. I have lots of content we've done for the hours and hours this week that we have done it. But thank you, Danny, for that. Really awesome. I appreciate you. And thanks for everybody who is listening and watching. And yeah, thanks, Jim. All right. I will— we'll have you come back again some other time now that we know how to do it.
That would be great. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, that'd be great. I mean, I got a million things, and as you can tell, I know we had to just talk about one, but I really appreciate it.
Thanks so much.
Okay, thanks.
Okay, bye. Bye. All right, everyone, I just thought it was really awesome, a great chance for us, um, to just get a handle. I mean, as we go into 2021, I always take a moment, especially this week. I mentioned this on Monday that we go through, uh, there, Jim, see, people love it. Thank you so much. Um, but I always go through this phase in this time right around Thanksgiving and Christmas and New Year's where I'm like, what did I say I wanted to do last year and how far have I come? And oftentimes I realize that, like, I'll give you an example. I got a— my very first internet marketing, like, course that I took on how to build my brand. It wasn't authentic. It was kind of cringy, but I bought this course and it was in 2004, 2004. And if I had then implemented the things that I know now to be true, which I found were in that book in 2004, how different my life would have been. I love my life. Don't get me wrong, but sometimes information opportunity, community identifies itself and we're given it a chance and for some reason we don't engage, we don't take action. So I love all those tips that Jim provided. Thank you so much for doing that. So what I'm going to do now, and I'm just going to remind you all, we had a little bit of a technical glitch at the beginning. I accidentally can't even remember what I did, uh, but I accidentally like, um, did something. Oh, I left my children and they started crying, so that was a thing. And then I got downstairs and I tried to reconnect— something happened to Facebook and I had to reconnect all of my tokens for my live stream, so that was a delay. And then I went to go live and my computer blue screened. Sometimes this happens, and it's not just these things, right? Sometimes we just get like bam, bam, bam. I just encourage you to do the thing anyway. Whatever it is you're trying to do, just keep moving forward because life is like that sometimes. And it was just a great example of what you might do when you encounter struggle, right? Is that when you encounter struggle, you could stop and you could back off and you could just be like, oh, this is just not meant to be today.. And I encourage you to just take that step to actually do the thing. Don't stop on a failure. I did though tell my children that they would be allowed to open the door and see me because sometimes I lock my door in order to not have a live, but they're not going to stay very long. They're going to leave right away. But anyway, so I— you might see them, they might— you might hear them, but they committed to me that they would be quiet and shut the door when, when they leave the room. Um, okay, awesome. Um, yes, oh yes, well, I will get right to it because I know Tessa is in a different time zone and I want to make sure that you get the most important things. So what I plan to do, uh, today is I'm actually going to be covering all 3 things that I want you to think about when you move towards monetization. Monetization is not exactly what it sounds like. A lot of people are like, cha-ching, right? Dollar signs in their eyes. How do I make money on my brand? The reality is, is that building a brand takes time. However, there are mechanisms that I can share with you, that I will share with you today, that will give you a vehicle for selling your products. And so I know at least two of you have done this. And what I wanted to do is I'm actually gonna show you, um, the steps I've taken to build a product that is purchasable, that represents my personal brand in a way of engaging with me. And we're just gonna kind of go behind the scenes in the background. I'm gonna show it to you and then I'm gonna open it up for Q&A so I can talk to you all about how I built it and how it works. Works and the success I've had with it. So the first thing I will, I want to do is I'm actually going to take you through a webinar, and this is one mechanism you can use to monetize your brand. Create a webinar, and there's actually a wonderful, cool script that you can use for building this webinar. It's amazing. You don't have to figure out what to say and how to say it. All you need to know is the gift you bring. The value you bring, the results you bring to your customers. You apply this script, which I'm about to share with you, and you can then lead your dream customers to a point where they can work with you in a way that they want to. The next thing I'm gonna do is also talk to you about value ladders and how do you create an ascension, a process that your customers can go through to get more and more of your time. Or more and more of your product or your service. And I'll show you a couple different value ladders to start with. And then finally, I'm gonna talk to you just about community and how important community, building a tribe, having a tribe, how important that is. So, so let's go ahead and get started. I'm gonna actually, uh, go into screen share mode. I'm going to kick this off as if you were joining my webinar. The only difference is, is that you can ask as many questions as you want. And I am going to just— let's see, what shall I do? I'm just gonna put, thanks for watching, and put that— oh goodness— on the screen. Oh no, I'm gonna put this one on the screen. I love it. Thank you. All right, so what I'm gonna do is take you through my webinar, and it actually will show you 3 monetization strategies in the context of that webinar, then we'll open it up for Q&A so you can dive deeply into all the things that I did to build it, its success, and where it sits today. And hopefully you'll find that helpful. And then at the very end, I'm gonna go through 3 additional tools, like actual tools that I use, because we're 3 shy. If you go back and count, 3 shy of our, of our 21. And so those 3 will be very specific tools, and I'll be ending our culminating wonderful challenge With 3 tools you can go. I don't have, you know, it's not an affiliate program for that. You just, you're gonna get to go use those tools just as I do. I do think some of them are paid, but it's definitely worthwhile. It saves me hours when I use these tools. And so I wanna introduce them to you if you've never seen them or heard of them before. All right, so let's get this party started. I'm going to go ahead and share my screen. Here we go. Share, and there it is. But this time I'm gonna actually enter you into my webinar as if you were coming to my landing page for the first time. So this is the first part about— I talked about on Monday— understanding who are your customers and how will you serve them, right? The two most important questions you have to ask. Once you know that, you can actually go through and create a targeted marketing campaigns to exactly those people. So the first step would be figuring out, of course, the answer to those two questions, writing them down as I have done, but then also going through the process of figuring out what— where those people live, right? Where do they hang out? What do they do? Because not only is it important to know who your dream customer is, It's important to figure out how do you find them. So here are some questions I want you to ask yourself because it's important to, like, whoever's going to buy from you, um, will be your— you want them to be your dream customers, the customers you specifically want to serve in this world. So here are some questions to ask once you've figured out who they are. Let's say you've identified, you know, it's gonna— you wanna, um, work with a certain type of female and a certain type of male. And they have these characteristics like they are— they care about personal growth over wealth. They care about building their existing business as opposed to starting from scratch. They care about helping through charity. They care. They are passionate about mentoring. Right. What kind of things do you want in your dream customer? Those are things specifically for Lovefluencers that I look for.. But my personas are different for my AI business, right? I'm looking for executives who wanna make good, ethical, responsible technology choices, right? So I write these things down and then I think, where are they located? Where do they live? So where do they live means where are they on Facebook? What social platforms are they on? Are they on TikTok? Are they on LinkedIn? What groups are they in? What magazines do they read? What, um, you know, uh, what subreddits do they look at? Where are they? Because that— what YouTube channels do they go to? What influencers do they listen to? All of these things could help you figure out where to place information about what you offer in the form of either targeted ads or content geared towards those groups. It's a really important part of your story, which is not just who, but where do they live, where are they hanging out, and how can you get in front of them? This is an example, what I'm about to walk you through, of once I've done that targeting. And I have Facebook ads that are working today that run people specifically, take people to this webinar. I'm not going to take you to like a recorded webinar because what fun is that? I'm going to actually do the webinar live for you. So that you can actually ask live questions. And then at the end, we can dissect it and you can see why it works and how it works. Webinars are just one way to create a filter towards your product or service. You can also do— and I'll actually show you this in the Ascension Ladder portion of the webinar— but you can also do other types of funnels. And those are— it just, it depends on what's what resonates with you, what you feel good about, and most importantly, what will generate the best results for your customer. All right, so are you ready? Let's do this. Okay. All right, let's do this. All right, so I'm gonna go ahead and go to sharing my screen, which is on. I'm gonna turn off this. Hello, my friends. Can you hear me? All right, I'm going to Let's see, I'm gonna keep talking. I haven't done anything different. Restream, my friends, come with me. All right, let me see if I can— it's working now. Awesome, thank you. All right, we're back, we're back. All right, cool. Well, it actually was just in time for our— oh, it started as soon as I shared my screen. Oh, all right. How long was I out? It's like what someone says when they fall asleep. Anyway, okay, awesome. You can hear me now? Okay, we're back online. Okay, awesome. So now I'm going to go back and I'm actually going to put myself side— oh, I don't know if that's going to work because that is not a full picture. So I'm going to stick to this. So I'm going to go side by side with my screen share and I think we were at a really good spot, except you might not have heard the end of that one. But let's go ahead and start with— well, I don't know, did you hear the power of funnels? I think you did. If not, I will recap it at the end. So the next thing is the— I'm going to go ahead and go into presentation mode. Hopefully it will continue to work. The second secret is something I talked about before, but I want to give you a much more tangible way to implement this. Which is the power of one. One product, one package, one community, one service, one thing you give to the world. What some people call their signature thing, their signature product, their signature service. What's the one thing? Everything else you do should lead people to this one thing. And it just depends on what it is for you, right? For some of us, it's a product. For some of us it's a suite of products, for some of us it's a membership. But you want to create one thing, focus. You want people to focus. So the main thing to understand here is the importance of a value ladder and how it can add increasing benefits to your customers. So as they work with you, you're going to give them these small steps that they can take, and then you can increase the value by saying, hey, the next step is to do this. Actually, let's just take a look at an example. Now, one thing I always like to do before we go into the example is remind you about what we had mentioned earlier. A confused mind says no. If you give someone too many different options, they don't do it. So you want to give them one option as opposed to like the shotgun effect. Where you spray a bunch of things at them and go, gee, I hope they get my book or go to my podcast or, you know, like follow me on YouTube or follow me on LinkedIn. Like find the one thing, your signature place, and drive everyone back to that location. The other thing you can do is, um, or what I'm about to show you is how to create a value ladder, which increases the results for your customers, right? You give them a small quick win um, in the form of what we just finished talking about, that first secret, right? Identify a result you can get for your customers, a small quick win, and then build on it. And as you increase the value for your customers, or the practical application and the results that they can get, then and only then can you, right, give them more. And here's the funny thing: if you don't give them more, people will ask ask for more. I have seen this happen. I have launched brands and all we did was launch like the intro ebook and people would write back and say, is there a course coming? Right? Is there this coming? Are you, are you coming out with a mastermind? Like people will ask for more of what they want and that's your opportunity to increase and bring more value. So here's an example and I actually modeled this after one of our challengers in our A-lister challenge because I totally can see this as part of Rebecca, your product. So if you catch this on the replay or if you're here live, say hi. But I— you have an awesome beauty line, right? You have an incredible beauty line. You have this amazing bar that you make, which I'm all in. Tell me how to get it. But here is one way that you can ethically feel good about sharing this product suite with the world. One, you can build a free sample plus shipping, create little bars, maybe a 5-day supply or a 7-day supply or 10-day supply, and you can ship it to people and say, just try it, see for yourself, it will make your skin feel amazing. You said this in your live and I was hooked when you said the result I could get, your skin will feel amazing. I was like, that's it, I'm in. Where can I buy it? We have to get in the, in the habit of saying what we— the result we can give, right? It wasn't about you, it wasn't about like how you did anything, it was about the result I could, I could get. And that hooked me. So you could start your value ladder off with building, creating a free sample, a small amount, free plus shipping, build a funnel that says come here If you're one of my people, come to this page and I'll send you a free sample. Just pay for the shipping. Then you can upsell them on the very next page, which they said they want a sample. You could say, by the way, for just $47, you can get a sample, which of, of maybe 4 of your products. For $47, I'll give you a month's supply of these 4 things I want you to use together. Right. The next thing you could do, of course, is say, these products run out. Wouldn't you want to be part of a monthly subscription? And I just threw prices on here. Please do not take them, you know, as golden. I just threw prices up here, but it gives you a way of, as people enjoy what you're doing, you give them another thing to do. And maybe you, you know, after a monthly subscription, maybe you have elite workshops or things that people can join and learn more about how to use your products, or I think you had mentioned, you know, creating content for them so you can, uh, creating a class for those who want to even— you take your products and build a business from them. It's like the new franchise. Really incredible opportunity. Here's another example for those of you who are in like the information marketing space, right? You could create a free challenge just like we did with the Authentic A-Listers. You could then create a community and charge $47 a month to join the community. Where people could continue the work that was done in the challenge, but with you personally, live, get Q&A, on-demand training, as well as live help. And then have a mastermind where businesses that are elevating, that are moving to a place where they need really done-for-you services, where they're not the ones doing all the work, they've hired a team and they wanna, they wanna actually invest in the building of their internet marketing business. Mastermind in— can either be a collection of CEOs or a collection of businesses, founders, entrepreneurs who get together consistently and share ideas, or it could be an elite group of one-on-one coaching that you do, right? There's lots of different ways to elevate someone, but hopefully you see this is a huge part of monetization, is figure out what's the little thing that you can do to attract your dream customers to just listen to the results you can build for them, the results you can generate, and then create baby steps or little steps to get them to where they want to go while they see results along the way. That's the difference with a Lovefluencer, right? We do things because we know we can help people and we make sure we actually help them, right? The whole point is that we actually help them. So This is just another example. All right. The third is connection. The third secret. This is also a way of monetizing your brand is by making sure you create a way for people to connect with you. So for example, I have been working on authentic branding for a while. I have a digital marketing business called Kindred Advertising where I do. I call it intent-based marketing for businesses, but I never could really figure out how to build a community, like how to build a group that I'd want to hang out with, like you, people who want to build their business in this kind of way. And one morning, actually a couple of months ago, I woke up and the idea of Lovefluencers came to my head. And it was this third step, this embracing of the community, community of people. Business owners that are successful, all of them, they find when they are able to find a community, build a tribe of like-minded people, find a group that will encourage them to take action, to test new ideas. This is what ensures their success. And this is true across all endeavors. The key is because a lack of community is the number one reason why businesses don't succeed. It's the number one reason why— get this— people don't stay in a career because they often feel alone. They feel like they're the only ones struggling in the way that they're struggling. This often happens even in computer programming, right? People quit the career of programming because they feel like, oh my gosh, I must be the only one who doesn't get this. You've probably heard the term imposter syndrome. The best way to fight imposter syndrome is to be in a community of people just like you who are willing to motivate and encourage and inspire you to take the next step, to dust yourself off and keep going, to have a place that offers psychological safety. So the truth is you're not alone. Hopefully you know that you're with a group of people. Lovefluencers is a community just like this, but communities are critical. And as part of your business, you want to kind of think about— I'll go back to Rebecca, like the Bayou Girls. Like, you want to think about what is something that somebody want to wrap themselves up in, call themselves that, wear the membership jacket. Right? What is that community for your product, your brand? Mine's Lovefluencers. Buy the t-shirt, right? I want people to feel like they could be part of that brand. I want to create a marketplace of people who call themselves Lovefluencers, who embrace our ideology, where I could then offer their services to my customers because I know they think in a way that I think. This community is so important. It's— and, and really, the re— the reality is, is your success, it's inevitable as long as you don't quit. Now, I don't mean staying stubbornly on one very specific idea. I mean understanding your goal, your why, your reason for doing what you're doing, and working tirelessly towards that, evolving as you hear ideas from others, and eventually, because you don't quit, landing on something that hits. So now sometimes this thought might come to your mind because this is really about the tech, right? This is really about where do we get stuck. It's hard to know what to do, right? Sometimes it's hard to know what to implement, what checklist or cheat sheet to use. There are so many tools. So many technologies, so many tips out there. And the tricky thing is you really need an action plan and you need focus. We need to focus our effort on one tactic, one tactic at a time, and get success. Does that sound familiar? It's exactly what we want to do for our own customers. We want to give them one thing, get results, and build the next thing. And that's what I do too. Oftentimes we get excited and some of us call it like the red button or the squirrels, right? Where we're like, ooh, ooh, there's, oh, there's a new, oh, there's a new thing. And really we just need a community that's gonna hold us accountable and keep us focused. We don't wanna spread ourselves so thin that nothing gets launched. Or we, this is something that I know from my carpenter friends or friends that build things. 80% done projects. You know, my house is full of things that I did 80%. It's functional, but it's not the way it was meant to be. And so you want a community that will drive you to hit that 100%, to go above and beyond for your customers so that they get what they need. The important thing is to take action, one foot in front of the other, just making sure that you take the right steps. So of course I wanted to build a community just like this, this interactive, fun community, motivational, inspirational, but better yet, one that will unblock you, right? You can get the live help you need on all the technical marketing stuff that you have. And I find at least I am in acquisition mode all the time. I'm always acquiring new ideas new trainings, going through new challenges, just trying to absorb a lot of information. But a lot of these programs, you know what they teach you is like tactically, here's what to do. They'll give you examples, cheat sheets, blueprints. But what happens is, is we get on this path and then we get stuck. Something doesn't work, or the graphical user interface of the tool changes, or the algorithm changes, or it just stops. And if you don't have help, if you don't have a net, a community of people who's like, oh yeah, yeah, that happened to me last week. Hey, don't worry, you can do this. For example, someone in our community, Joe, said yesterday like, oh, YouTube has just created new stories, just like Twitter has created new fleets. These are new technologies, and if you are a Twitter person or a YouTube person, without sharing these ideas, we'd never know. And now you know you can go test that out, but we need help and we need someone who can say, don't be stuck on that because it doesn't work. I fixed it. Here you go. Create a path to unblock. And it's something that I'm really passionate about because I watch so many people stall, not just for weeks or months, but sometimes years, where they're just like, oh yeah, I never could get that funnel thing to work, so I just didn't do it. No, no. So What we wanna do is provide some help, live Q&A, help you get unstuck, help you move forward, and have a group of people who think like you, who wanna serve like you, a place where you can be your best self. And you can even test out your content. You can, like, for me in the challenge, I've seen so many things that our Lovefluencers have done that I actually want to buy, that I want to invest in. And so I think it's a great community to be a part of. You'll also get introduced to new ideas, of course, what's working. Some of you know I am so excited about new platforms. I got all involved in TikTok during the pandemic and it was amazing. I was able to test things out before a lot of people knew what was working, and I can now share that knowledge with the people in my community. It's important to be able to hop on the right trends at the right time. There's, like I said, so many tools, so many things you can do. And really having a community of people all kind of working together is the best way to shrink, right, the amount of things you have to learn and know about and just figure out what's working right now and make a decision about whether it's the right thing for you to actually go and implement it. So of course, I'm an author and a speaker and a technology evangelist, as I mentioned before. I've developed some of the most popular and, you know, in, I don't know, in vogue, I guess, technical brands in the world. Some of you know I helped with Amazon Alexa. I was an evangelist for that platform. I helped with Microsoft AI and, you know, created all this content around cognitive services. And I learned what it would take to attract people to a brand that they had never heard of before. And those are the types of things that I've helped during our challenge that I've helped you all with. So I can help you get unblocked. I think I've actually done that this week. It's been so fun. I offer the latest technologies and secrets. Internet marketing is a vast ocean of information. So I think part of of really being able to be successful here is being able to pick a path and have someone who can help navigate that path. It's not about doing all the things. It's about narrowly identifying what will work for you and creating a repeatable process for that success. But most importantly, it's about doing it with people who are authentic and real, who support you, who are relatable. Like, it is the most important part in my mind of building a brand. You can have a brand that you want without losing who you are. So many of us, I think, change the way we talk or the way we are, the way we act, or the way we dress or our hair because we want to. And maybe I'm speaking for myself, but because we want to, you know, mold ourselves to things we think are working. And I want to let you know that there are some tactics and techniques that work, but none of them, none of them require you to sacrifice or compromise who you are, the value you bring, and the message or product or service you want to bring to the world. There is a way to feel good about the businesses that you're building and feel good every day to interact with the people that are part of your business, that are your clients. So I've basically created this community for you to be able to connect with other Lovefluencers, and all you have to do is really join. So I'm gonna let you see this link. It's a Bitly link, so you'll notice it's bit.ly/Lovefluencers. I created a mastermind, a bunch of them actually, quite a few courses on mastermind.com. This is my super secret elite group, so everyone in this group has access to me personally. As a matter of fact, every one of you watching right now probably have already reached out to me and we might be communicating personally already. But this is the community. It's where we go live and we do workshops every single week. So you're never stuck, right? You never have the excuse of like, oh, that didn't work, or I couldn't get that to load, or I couldn't figure out the funnel, or I couldn't get my email list, you know, together. Those days should be— those are over for you, right? This community, me specifically, and the coaches that are in my community, we can help you. And it's really important part of your journey is like, what do you get stuck with? And if it's tech, be stuck no more. So I honestly, of course, can't keep the— there's a price on the page. I can't keep it that low forever, but it's Black Friday. So, um, I basically slashed the price, I think, in half, um, and I wanted to make it just a no-brainer for everyone on this call to be able to connect and test it out. Just test it out for a month. The nice thing is, is it is a monthly subscription, so you can join for a month, see if it works for you, see if you get value, see if you get help, and then make your decision on the very next month. You don't even have to call someone to, you know, get unsubscribed. You can literally— everything is electronic. You can go in, you can unsubscribe at the end of your month if you don't feel like the value or the practical application was worth it. But I haven't had anyone do that yet, so fingers crossed that we can keep it going. But you're a big part of what makes that community special. So here's the link. You can go take a look at it. It's https— you could probably get there without the S too— but https://bit.ly/Lovefluencers, and you can join the elite community. This challenge ends today, and I won't be doing all of this for everyone anymore. I'm only going to do it in my elite group. So I'm excited to see you. I am just so excited about the opportunities that we've talked about this week and the engagement that we've seen. I'm always looking to help people. Um, and I can't tell you the amazing results we've seen from people who go all in. Uh, but the biggest thing is there's just no need to struggle and you're not alone. And if you are looking for a community, maybe you already have one, but if you are looking for a community of people who are empathetic and kind, who are trying to drive business in a way that serves the world, this just might be the one. So, oh, and I also have an Elite Mastermind. You saw that funnel? Yeah, that's mine. I have an Elite Mastermind just for business owners that are at a certain level of their business. So you, um, it's not really for those just starting out, it's more for people who've already seen success in the early stages of, um, Lovefluencers, right? Where you've practiced, you've applied what we've done, and you've started to see sales and you're excited, you wanna go bigger. So it's not for everyone, but we do have that. But I'm not here to talk about that. I'm not even here to share with you how you can even get involved in that. I just wanna talk about Lovefluencers Elite, which is our monthly community program, which is amazing. And I'm so excited about it. So I hope I see you on the inside. Starting next week, we do our very first live session. It is amazing and important. But the most important thing is just don't be— don't get stuck, because the key to your success— remember at the beginning we talked about it— 80% of businesses in their first year succeed. They succeed. So you're— the odds are in your favor, but you do have to align yourself with people who can help you be successful. So I hope you enjoyed it. This is the end of the webinar. And we'll open it up for some Q&A. Thank you. All right. So that's it. That's my webinar. And of course, it's a little bit different because I know you all are here, but that is the webinar. And I do it. You can make it evergreen. Awesome. Oh no, I was out the entire presentation. That wasn't true. Okay, tell— hopefully you guys could hear me. If not, Oh, that's okay. Oh, really? Oh, that's terrible. Okay, well, 8 of you just sent me a message, so that is such bad news. Okay, well, well, all right, I will send you the recording. So really, as soon as I did screen share, you couldn't hear anything? Okay, someone tell me, did you hear any of that wonderful presentation? Any, any of it? Or maybe you couldn't see it? All right, I'll wait. It's like a 30-second delay. So, oh, okay, good. Phew, thanks, Jim. Okay, so I'm gonna stop sharing my screen and go on it. Okay, good.
Yay.
All right, so this is actually the most— guys, you have to be quiet. If you're gonna be in here, you have to be quiet. Okay, well, we'll just see how it goes. So what I wanted to show you was just that arc, right? The arc of the story. Oh, hold that sec. One second. Oh my goodness. Okay, I may have promised them ice cream or snow cones. Yay! And only one left. How about if I promise like a lifetime supply of toys? Anyone? Anyone? Okay. All right, we'll just see how it goes. So the whole point of— the whole point of that webinar is to do something that creates a sequence of slides that you can walk someone through to not only show, of course, what you offer, but then also Demonstrate who you are, why you're good at what you do, what you've learned. Thank you, honey. Thank you. Um, 3-year-olds, it's really hard for them to understand the whole concept of live. One second. That would be awesome. That's not whispering. Oh my gosh, we're gonna just try. We're gonna try and do this. Um, maybe I should like go upstairs. What do you think? Should I go upstairs? So I thought I could trust you guys to like, you know, be cool, like hang out with me quiet. All right, they're gonna be quiet. All right. That's it, we're leaving. I'm going upstairs. Bye guys, see you later. Can you come and get the ice cream? No, you were not quiet. Quiet. Oh my gosh, you guys are gonna just watch me do this. Okay, fine. Okay, let's be quiet, super duper quiet, and I'm gonna finish up my last— okay, so— Mommy, you said just one. I'm done, I'm almost done, I just have to finish. And if you let me finish, actually, you could go and get pizza ice cream by yourself. Yeah, you can go get it by yourself. Thanks for the pizza ice cream. Okay, go for it, go for it. This is my time to shine. This is my time to shine. Oh, that's my boy. All right, if you could shut the door on your way out, that would be awesome. I'm going to do this. Okay, if you could shut that off, please. Better go. Okay, bye. Okay, thanks. See you later. Shut my door, shut my door, shut the door. Okay, bye. Okay, we better make this quick. Okay, so this is how it works. Um, I wanted to just show you that mastermind is actually a part of, um, or that mastermind, that, uh, webinar that I just showed you is actually part of the process I go through with like my mastermind people. Um, and there's a couple different tools. I'm actually going to give you the tools because really the tools are available. You can go and get them. I think maybe it might cost you the cost of a book. Um, so I'll post the link to that book here for you to go get it. And if you follow the steps, you're golden. You could do it. I've done it. I'm one of those people who reads books books from COVID to cover. As a matter of fact, I don't know if you know this statistic, but only 9% of people actually do that. 9% of people finish books they start. Now granted, there are many books that I fall into that other 91%, um, but 9%, this was one of them. So I'll share with you that book and you guys can go take a look at it. Um, but what I've realized is a lot of people they actually don't struggle with the steps and doing them. They just struggle with either the time or the patience. And really, most people are just like, can you just do it for me, please? Just do it. Do the thing. Like, I will just pay you to do the thing. And that's often what I end up doing. And that's what Kindred Advertising is all about. But let me— I will— I'm going to go and check our questions out. We have a few here, so it's so cool to see questions across all platforms. Okay, so the first thing that I just did is I went through the process of— I really created a PowerPoint. However, I used a tool that allowed me to generate that PowerPoint very quickly. And so for those of you who join Blogfluencers Elite, you will see me demonstrate this. I will give you the ability to use that tool to build your very first webinar if you choose to do that. Now, other funnels that I wanted to talk to you about, these were— and tools that I wanted to talk to you about. Here is one of them. This is the book that really gave me the idea for Lovefluencers a few years ago. I just didn't know what it was at the time, but this is— I'm gonna go and grab the link really quick. And I— this is my specialty, so I love this. It's called Expert Secrets, um, and this book provides you all the steps that I've talked about a little bit. Maybe not all the steps because it's not about TikTok or any of the platforms like LinkedIn I specialize in, but it is about how to do some of the work I've talked to you about, right? How to ask the right question about Who do you wanna serve and how do you wanna serve them? About how to create a story that is engaging, that will attract your dream customers. And if you are a book reader, and actually I think if you go through this link, it'll also ask you if you want an audiobook. But if you go through, you could, you'll get all the things, all the steps written down. I've written them down many times in book format. And I— it's why I won't really write a book like this, because I'm like, oh, that book's there, you guys, just go get it. But what I find most people need is accountability, kind of like what I mentioned to you all in the challenge about having an accountability partner. Like, it was so nice to have someone who could hold me accountable, who I could say I'm gonna do this thing, and then I go and do the thing, and I feel feel good about it. So it does help me, um, really hone in those skills. And I, I just think it's really nice to have a community of people that are doing similar work with a similar intention. So that is the big difference, I think, also with the community that I built, is that I, I first off only want people in that community that are doing it for the reasons of serving people and helping people and creating, um, businesses that do that very thing. The other part, um, so as people go through this community, right, they join the community, they see my lives every week, we do live workshops. Um, hi Jim, you're back! Sorry. No, it's fine, you can come back over I can see you. But as, as we go through and like talk about all the things, we basically are activating a lot of the ideas that we talked about in the 21 tips that we went through in the challenge. We just do it on a weekly basis. We dive deep and we see real examples. That's the only thing I didn't really have the time to do in a 5-day challenge is go deeper, right? And say, here's how I built my YouTube video. Video. Um, here's how I built this TikTok video. Here's how I built my webinar script. Like, these are very real things that actually work. And so I want to create a mechanism for sharing with Lovefluencer audiences how that works. The Mastermind though, which is the next level, right? Once you go through the next level, it's a little bit more, I'd say, detailed or action-oriented. And it's for those, like, there's only a few spots. There's like— I think I created a spot, a group of 50, but there's only like 7 spots in there right now, which is why I didn't announce it, because I'm like, whoa, whoa, whoa, um, email me if you want to know about it. Um, but here's kind of the cool part about escalating your dream customers. Right now, you might just need to build your brand. You might just need to create your web presence, your YouTube channel, um, and, you know, your podcast. And once you get that going and you get those wheels turning and you get, most importantly, some success, you get customers using your thing, using your product, um, telling you how awesome it is, you then want to be able to document that in order to attract more business. Similar to that person, right? And that's what I talked about, the testimonials, uh, funnel. You want to create a site that has a, a, a video, and I have a script for this that has a video that says, here's how you interview someone so that they talk about how you help them. And maybe some of you in the Lovefluencer Challenge who joined me there, maybe some of you will want to do this with me, right? And say like, oh my gosh, it was so fun to go live for the first time, or it was so amazing to build that Alexa skill, never thought I could do that, right? You can ask some questions about how— what real results did you get for people and use that to attract more people that are similar. Now, once you get into, like I said, into the Mastermind program, I have some other avenues for helping businesses that are ready for that level. For example, I have a podcast I, they would be one of the features of the mastermind is you get to be featured on my Lovefluencer podcast. You also get to be featured in a LinkedIn Live. I have 10, over 10,000 people in B2B business to business interactions on my LinkedIn page. Some of you are listening right now. Um, and so I want to be able to take you to the next level, increase your brand awareness through the channels I've already established. Established. And then we have the Lovefluencer Marketplace. So only people who are in the mastermind can participate in the Lovefluencer Marketplace, which is where you get to actually advertise on the Lovefluencer property, which gets about 2,000 hits a day right now, which isn't terrible being 2 months old. It allows you— and we'll of course just continue to grow that— but as a, uh, you know, a mastermind person, you now get to actually advertise on that platform and say I'm a lovefluencer and I believe in this. And it is, I know for one, I look for brands that are authentic. I look for brands that I wanna support. I look for brands that celebrate differences in our community. I look for brands owned by, you know, by POC or people of color, women in, you know, non-women industries, you know, or any marginalized community, I want to help those people. And so I feel like creating a marketplace where we celebrate those companies is a really important piece of that puzzle. So that is basically it. I wanted to just show you what I do. I also— the last thing I wanted to do as we close up the 2-hour session is show you the 3 tools I have used. One of them is actually this book, the Expert Secrets book. I read it so many times. Um, oh, oh, here it is. I've read it so many times that like the pages are falling out. So, um, it's so good. Oh wait, so good though. Um, I'm a big, big fan. However, it's not my voice, right? Like when I read this, I don't see myself, which is why Lovefluencers became such an important idea to me, um, because I was like, I want this to be for people who think differently. Like, this is for everybody, um, you know, like it's meant to be a wide funnel. I want a little bit of a more narrow funnel. I want people who are looking to make a difference in this world in an ethical and responsible way, um, and who want to bring goodness, happiness, inspiration, joy back into people's lives. And I do think that our community has started that work. So I'm really grateful that you all are here. So this is one thing, Expert Secrets. I put the link in, feel free to take a look at that. The second thing I want to show you, and I'm actually gonna go ahead and share my screen again. Hopefully my sound won't go out again. That was crazy. And I'm going to show you another tool that I use, which is— you guys, I think, will like this. It's called— oh, I actually never know what it's called. This is a great example of a brand or of the fact that it does not matter what your domain name is. It doesn't matter, right? I know I said create one for your, your name. I think that's important. But if you want to create like a Lovefluencer website or a website for your product and that name isn't available, any, uh, any version of that is probably going to be okay. Because for example, this is called My Ecover Maker. It took me almost a year after using this product to figure out that it actually started with my. I would always try to find ecover maker. It's called my because that ecover maker is already taken. But this is one of the tools that I use and I I will put— I'm not an affiliate with this product, um, but I use it all the time. And honestly, if I could be affiliate, I probably would because I recommend it to everyone. I'm going to go back to Restream and just jot it into the chat really quick. So this is— and I'll demonstrate it for you— oops, right here. So this is, um, a cover maker. Notice here what you're looking at This is how you build those graphics that represent what you do, what it looks like, right? Your products. I actually upgraded for free. You can do a bunch of things if you are graphically inclined. You can also start with an image that you built in Canva, which I don't do, but you could because that would just increase like how good this, um, the outcome of this would look like. I'm gonna actually try and log in and see, um, if I can log in here. I think— oh my goodness, I don't remember. I think it's this one. Let's hope. So I'm gonna log in, and there's a little trick to this. When you log in, you have to kind of go back and hit members login to get into this system. So what this allows you to do, if you are writing a book, if you are creating an information product, if you are creating even a real product, I'll take you into that right now. But if you go into building it, these are all the different types of images you can resurface. So books, antique books, pamphlets, coil-bound books, right? Anything that represents it. Boxes, right? If you sell software, DVDs, ah, the good old days of DVDs. If you create an e-course and it's on an iPad, right? And a lot of this, you can use this for free. You can use these images for free. They just don't give you any help. So you have to build those. You can create those images in Canva and upload them, which is awesome. But I'll keep going down so you can just kind of see some of the other products because like a gift bag, Or look at this, Rebecca. Rebecca has an amazing line of bath and body products. So you can even take your logo and create digital representation of it. Here's the reality when you're selling online, and I'll just— and of course I could have gotten there easier. There's a little cheat sheet up here. But when you're selling online, value is depicted by the picture you give someone.
One.
And yeah, okay, you could make it a real picture, but then you'd probably want lighting in a space and white. Oh, it doesn't actually matter, right? What if you could do this in less time? And this is one of my huge time savers that I have created, right, for building information products, um, and building product imagery that I can use within my, um, within my app. So hopefully you saw that and found it helpful. But this is like, in my mind, it's huge. Now I upgraded, I think it was $100 or something, wasn't very expensive, but I upgraded because I wanted this feature, which is pre-designed covers. So you get to take these pre-designed covers, and of course you don't have to use these words, but you can find one. Let's say you do, I don't know, dog training. Or you do digital marketing, or you do whatever it is, you can actually take these covers and mirror them. So it'll give you an opportunity to really make, um, make your designs even faster, which I think is awesome. All right, then there's also the Package and Banner Maker. Now this is what you use to create— and I'll just say, oh, I don't I don't know, 1440 by 1080, right? Which is like a YouTube banner. And what I can do is I can actually start adding, let's say I wanna do personal branding, right? I start adding different pictures in a box, right? And so I could start basically collecting them together to create that like a product suite, right? Oh, this is available, you know, you'll get a box and you'll get an online, you know, course you'll do on your iPad and you'll get a book. And so you can go through and you create this visual that gives people an understanding. And then of course there is the ability to go in and choose a background that is more appealing, right? It's just so easy. And then you can add text. Really, really, um, I, I just found like a time saver. So I just wanted to share that with you. So that is tip number 2. Oh my gosh, do not hit mom. That's not cool. Um, all right, my time is running out. Uh, 9 minutes. Wait, can I show them what this is? Can I show them? Because Lovefluencers love light-up unicorns. Thanks, Brian. Okay, okay, keep it over there, um, so that Mommy doesn't hit in the head. What's the image maker that you've used before? Is this the link for that? Yes, that and, um, Canva. So I'm gonna have to take that if you can't not— canva.com. So of course Canva is what I actually used to make. I'll give you, uh, just an idea if I log in, hopefully give you an idea of some of the images I've created really quickly. And if I go to all my designs, um, so this is where I created a lot of my assets, um, but I also, uh, will use GoDaddy. So in GoDaddy, which is the platform I had used— sorry for the background noise— um, in GoDaddy, if I go into Wanted, let's say, Lovefluencers. There's the ability to create content. So you'll see here, create a social post. And when you create a social post, it takes you into a very similar Canva-like editing environment where you can take posts that work and you can, you know, you can figure out like, oh, Small Business Saturday, we should all be posting tomorrow for Small Business Saturday. And you can take one of these that works for you and model it, right? So when you select one, let's say, oh, I like this one. Mom, there's a spider right there. That's okay, I love spiders. Um, no, I've literally, as a fun fact, had a spider drop into my lives right in front of my face from the ceiling. And I live— and I just did this, I like grabbed it and moved it over and dropped it like super smooth Anyway, can't make this stuff up. All right. Oh my gosh. Okay, honey, since you're not having any clothes on, I need you to be over there. All right, let's see. Okay, let me go back. Oh my gosh, no screaming. Sorry, everyone. Sorry for your ears. Okay, let's see. So I think I answered that question. Ecovermaker, Expert Secrets, and the last and final thing I will share with you is the tool I use to manage memberships. I already talked to you guys about, uh, I already talked to you about the membership sites that I've used for newsletters, if you recall, um, Substack. Today I would introduce you to the last thing, which is MemberPress. MemberPress is a plugin for WordPress, so it does require you— it does require you to build a WordPress site. And if you have a WordPress site, I can help you. If you don't, I can also help you. But it allows you to do this really cool feature, which I will— I'll send you to now. Wall Street Journal. Let's go to the Wall Street Journal, right? And we'll go in and just go to the website. All right, so I go to the website and I'm like, oh, this is cool, and I go look at it and I start reading it. Wow, I love it. Oh wait, I'm reading, reading. Oh man, I have to become a member. $4 a month though, that's pretty cheap. I'm gonna do that, right? So this is called content restriction. It allows someone to fall in love with your article and then get a content restriction pop-up or basically overlay that shows, hey, in order to see the rest of this, you have to be a member. MemberPress allows you to do this, and I love it. I really like the idea because you can give as much information as you want for free, and then just for those very special pillar articles, pillar pieces of content, video training, you could say, oh, this is actually for my Lovefluencers Elite. You all will see this shortly. This is just for my elite group. If you want to be part of the elite, you just they just have to join and you give them an opportunity to do so. So MemberPress is really cool 'cause it allows you to do that, that very work. It is on WordPress, it is a technical thing, it can be challenging, but I'm here to help and that's what our community is all about. So in the last 4 minutes, I just wanna say how fun was this? Our 5-day challenge. We did so many things. This challenge, um, my Lovefluencer group that you are all a part of will continue. The next time I do this challenge, which will be over the holiday break, we are going to talk about building an actual funnel. So it'll be a funnel challenge where we're going to build a specific type of funnel, um, and it just depends on what I'm working and testing at that point, what's what's working for me, what I'll end up doing. But I do think it's important as a next step to build your, your value ladder and create a way for someone to become your customer. I will tell you, the number one, number one most difficult, hardest thing to do is to get your very first— your customer to give you their very first dollar. Once they give you a dollar, it's easier for them to give you more. But it is really hard for them to do that. There's a lot of trust and reciprocity and lots of things that have to be built up in order for, for a customer to feel like they can go in and put their credit card down. So there's a lot of different ways to get there. But the more we as Love Launchers can give and share and teach the world the more likely you'll find what, uh, we call your 1,000 true fans, right? You'll find, you know, people in the world that love what you do. There's actually a really great article. Oh, let me see if I can find it. Um, uh, 1,000 True Fans that I'll put in here. This is a great article because it shows how anyone can make a living doing something that they love, or like us, that we are passionate about and we know will serve the world. It is actually an article on kk.org, and I will send it to you. It's an old— I mean, relatively old article, but it's, it's worth a read because it shares the philosophy. And there is the link for those of you on Twitter, YouTube, and Facebook. Book. Um, but what it does is it, it demonstrates to you that it's kind of like certain brands. I know for me, ClickFunnels is one of them. I, I've been involved with ClickFunnels since the beginning, kind of like you all are part of my founding members of Lovefluencers. And Lovefluencers will go on year after year getting more and more customers and elaborating the products that we offer and the coaching that we offer. But you will be the originals. Um, and one thing that I have found is that the number one thing that I struggle or that I, you know, try to do is I want— when I find a brand I like, I tend to buy everything from them. So it's kind of like, actually, I go into— maybe I go into Target back in the day when I used to shop in store. Um, and if I found shoes that I liked, I'd buy them in every color. Or, uh, jeans that I like, I buy the same jean over and over and over again. Um, and similarly with ClickFunnels, every product that they put out I buy because I love the company and what they do and what they stand for. I think they're awesome and I am helped by them. So there are certain brands— you are this brand— where you want to attract those people that once you start delivering stuff similar, like Rebecca with her bath and body, or Joe with your, um, progressive, uh, content and happiness cards. And like, once somebody buys from you, they're like, I love this. And every time you come out with a new journal or a new affirmation card set or a new desktop wallpaper set, right, every time we want to buy more because we're one of your true fans. We love everything you put out. And we actually love it not because of the thing, but because of you. And that's what a lovefluencer truly is. It's someone who is so authentically real and gives something of value that helps change people's lives for the better, that they organically create followers who love what they put out. And it's— and all you need is 1,000, 1,000 people in a world of billions to create a living. And so I'm here to help you do just that. Please stay in contact. It was a fun, super amazing, fantastic challenge. Um, and you'll see I actually have 2 awards to give out, so I'll be doing the spinner. Um, we had— oh, just an update, uh, Teresa actually was nice enough to say she's good on lighting, and so she wanted to donate. Uh, and I missed someone yesterday accidentally. I won't do that today. Thomas, but I missed someone yesterday. And so Tessa had actually said, oh no, you missed me. So it was awesome. Teresa donated her light ring to Tessa. And Tessa, you did an amazing job on your live today. I know you're probably making dinner, but it is really, it's been amazing. So thank you all. Thanks for joining. It was a fun 5 days. Please, I hope to see you on in the group. More often, and I look forward to just seeing what you do with your brands. I hope you had fun. Thanks for everything. Talk to you later. Bye, friends.
