Hello and welcome back. This is actually a bonus video. I wanted to augment what I had said about the mindfulness and meditation practice. I had taken down some notes and got all caught up in it and I didn't actually read them, so I wanted to add this bonus. A very important thing about mindfulness and meditation is that you realize that you can start right where you are. No matter what you do, how long you've been doing it, you can start right now. You might have meditated when you were a kid, maybe you meditated a long time ago for a month, maybe you even went out to an ashram and did some meditation there, but if you're not doing this practice today, today is the day to start. So start today. Like I mentioned in the last video, you know, put it on your schedule. Remember that your brain takes 21 days to create a habit, right? 21 consistent, habitually practiced days. So give yourself that time. Put it on the calendar and say, "21 days, I'm gonna be accountable for meditating for 1 minute every day for 21 days." That's it. Then it becomes a habit and it'll be easy. But those first 21 days are gonna be tough, and I encourage you to set that, make that commitment to yourself in order to to build a better meditation and mindfulness practice in your life. You might want to take— so I actually have a blog about this as well— the 10-Day Mindfulness Challenge, right, which is all about setting your intention every single day, waking up, doing some kind of mindfulness activity, whether that's listening to an app, grabbing an M&M, grabbing a raisin, whatever it ends up being, however you end up doing it, do it. Make note of it, and, you know, carve out time to make it possible. Some other tips I wanted to throw in here as a bonus: make sure you're not eating at your desk. Not only is it probably not the cleanest place to be eating, but you need a break. And so go outside, go downstairs if you have a downstairs, go, you know, take a walk. Get away from your desk. Do not check email while you eat. Do not be on a phone call when you eat. Like, Take that time, even if it's only 15-20 minutes, to be away, to break. That break for you ends up rejuvenating you and making you more productive throughout the rest of your day. So super important, don't eat at your desk, don't eat through lunch, take a break. It doesn't matter how long you're gonna be at work or what, take a break and do something more meaningful for yourself to make you more productive throughout the end of the day. Other things, let's see, I wanted to talk to you about— oh, the last thing is being an example. So I talked about this in the last video as well, but I want you to really consider openly, like, maybe put that invite that you have twice a day to, you know, be mindful. Maybe make that public so everyone can see it when they're booking meetings with you. They know what you're doing. Become an example, become a vocal example, so that your team feels like they have the space to also begin meditating and having their own mindfulness practice. So it's not just for you. Sometimes it is, but it's not just for you. We want to set an example, be an example, so that the rest of our teams can see it and maybe even take it up for themselves. So that's it, just a really quick update. I just wanted to throw in some bonus material. Thank you again for watching, and I'll see you in the next video. Video.
