I've been very fortunate, I've been given the honour of opening this ceremony on this beautiful day. My name is Jeremy Donovan, traditional name, back in my community. Or what you from America know as reservations, is Yangarayirrangarayinangiyar. My name is the Long Neck Toba, or simply the neck between two worlds. I've been so blessed in my life, given all my traditional knowledge, and then blessed to be able to travel around the world and around this beautiful country and share the story and the voices of Australia's ancestral history, the history that still lives here in every breath that we speak and in every breath that we share through this instrument. As my gift to the people that have visited here from America, I've been very fortunate to spend a lot of time with the Native American people over there, and so I would like to play a song which is called "Ancestors Cry."
