Your AI Employees In Action

Noelle Russell, CEO of the AI Leadership Institute, walks through six pre-built AI agents designed to work like employees: an executive assistant, social media manager, content writer, receptionist, legal assistant, and sales associate. She shows real metrics like thousands of emails processed and hundreds of drafts generated, and recommends starting with three agents before scaling up.

Hi there. I am here to share with you the process that we use to implement artificial intelligence, specifically AI agents that act as employees in your business to help you do some of the most mundane tasks on your team. This is not meant to replace team members, but actually help amplify those team members within your organization. My name is Noelle Russell, and I am the CEO of the AI Leadership Institute. My journey into artificial intelligence actually started 12 years ago when I had an opportunity to join Jeff Bezos at Amazon in starting and building out the Amazon Alexa team. I stayed there for a few years, was given an opportunity to launch over 100 AI applications during my time there. I then ended up going to Microsoft and helping launch Microsoft AI, what then was known as Cognitive Services, became a beta tester on ChatGPT during COVID and then also had an opportunity to build a $300 million practice for one of the largest consultancies in the world. That leads me to where I am today, which is how do I help businesses just like yours leverage AI technology to scale what you're doing and amplify human potential within your organization. So let me get started right away with our, what we call our crawl, walk, run process. How do you get started with AI, using AI as employees, and then talk a little bit about how to scale AI within your organization. So we're using a platform here that contains 6 different agents. Now, our initial program allows you to develop 3 agents at a time, which is our suggestion, our recommendation. But I want to walk you through the capabilities so you can see what this looks like for your company. The first thing you'll see, as you see here, the first thing you'll see is that we have what's called an executive assistant in AIEA. Now, this executive assistant does a ton of things, but to give you a very concise description, its job is to read your emails, categorize and organize your inbox, manage your calendar, and give you a space in which to ask questions, send requests, and even manage other agents. This we call affectionately, we call this Executive Assistant Eva. And I just want to give you one example of how I've trained our Eva in my organization. So here every morning Eva sends an email. Now granted, I've configured this AI to do this as I would do for your organization, but I get an email every morning that tells me what my day is going to look like, gives me a nod for the different emails that need my immediate attention, lets me know in my industry things to keep in mind, things to maybe be aware of, especially when it comes to what I might want to talk about on social media, and give me a social pulse of what's trending, what contrarian perspectives are important, allowing me again to stay relevant and top of mind in my industry. Now you'll also notice there are some easy— we call them conversation starters— with the tool. You can block time, right? You can ask it to move a meeting, you can ask it to follow up on something either in a couple weeks or even just to remind you of things to do tomorrow. These are asynchronous processes that allow the AI system to do things on your behalf without you having to be there to monitor it. So now that we've talked about our executive assistant, which is the first one we encourage you to set up, this does require you to connect to your email and your calendar to give it the context that it needs in order to help you with these everyday tasks. The next thing, which is one of the most exciting parts of this AI implementation, is the social media manager. Now, the social media manager, its job is to create posts for you across up to 5 different social media channels. Now, this is not your premier pillar content. This allows you to create content that is consistent daily. We call it an algorithmic heartbeat, and it is critical for algorithms on LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter to know who you are and know that you're consistent and available So when someone is online looking for your services, you will be the first to be bubbled up because the algorithm recognizes that you are in it to win it, as we say, right? So you'll notice here I have 50 drafts sitting waiting to be created, and of course I architected these through the words that I used in the conversation with this social media agent. But I also have the ability to just quickly, if I see something, I can just quickly click and drag it and publish it immediately to the social media channel of choice. I also can take one, let's say I really like this chatbot, um, agent, right? I really like this agent. I like what it looks like. I like the image. I like what it said. I can actually repurpose this immediately for any of the other platforms that I have. Notice Google My Business, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and of course this was originally built for Twitter. So this allows you to create consistency with your brand messaging across up to 5 different social media channels, but we also can schedule it out. You'll see here, for example, on Wednesday I had up to— I'll just click in here so you can see it, right? LinkedIn, 9:00, Instagram, 9:00, Twitter, 9:00, 2:16, which was a live post. I was on LinkedIn. But the benefit of this is that if you go back, you can see I do this activity every single day, posting 5 to 10 times per day. Now, again, in your early stages, we encourage you to use 3 agents. And post 3 to 5 times per week just to get the engines going and make sure that you have full control over the brand voice, the imagery, the content, and the context that the AI system is using. But then we can quickly ramp up to any number of content that you want to publish on a weekly and daily basis. So this is our what we call short-form content. We also have a long-form content, uh, agent. This long-form content agent is allowing you to do research, to pull information. What is your audience looking for? What, what questions are they asking? And it allows them to get a deeper relationship with you with longer-form content that's more thoughtful, has an increased richness. Now, these 3 services all by themselves will help increase— these are SEO-built blog posts, long-form content. You can use this in LinkedIn newsletters or SEO blogs, or you can publish it directly to your website. Now, All of these give you the ability to show and represent yourself online so your perfect customers can find you. Now I'm going to skip down to the bottom. One of the things that a lot of our customers, um, struggle with is having an always-on receptionist that can answer the phone any time of day and ensure that that phone call turns into a lead. So you can see here, I'll actually try and scroll up to the top. When I created this, you can see this instantly creates for you a phone number. This phone number becomes your your social media interaction point. So every post, every, uh, piece of content that you put out into the market, you can now add your phone number. You can add this to Google My Business. This gives you the ability to have a dedicated number for triaging, but most importantly, an AI system will answer that number. You'll notice here I actually tested this out myself just so I could see how it was doing its job. Was it doing it effectively? And this gives me now the ability to safely and confidently trust that my AI system will answer every call, extract track the name and phone number and email of every caller and ensure that I have the opportunity to follow up with them. Now the next one is a legal assistant. Now again, this is not a legal, uh, this is not a lawyer, this is not a professional, does not provide legal advice. However, it does give you insight into how legal documents are created and formed. So you can see here, I use this to replicate an NDA for my contractors. So when I just need to take an existing legal document and edit a couple of the fields, or if I want to understand a document that's given to me by a client, like an NDA request, I can ask this legal associate to review it for me, similar to like a paralegal, right? I'm not asking it for legal advice, but I'm using it to help me understand legal documents in my organization and even help me draft new copies of those documents. Now, the last one is probably my favorite. This is the sales associate. The sales associate's job is to go out into, uh, the internet looking through professional public lead sources, 700 million contacts available in these lead sources, and find my perfect client, right? Your, uh, what we call ICP, your ideal, right, client profile. ICP. So it's going to go looking for people who are what you're asking for, right? Who are the people that need to see this? It then reaches out to them, and most importantly, it builds out a sequence. This sequence is a singular sequence that brings people into your ecosystem. This is not to build out all of your automations. This is just to warm up people who are finding you on social media and getting them to actually begin to engage with you, whether they, you know, move to buying a book on the website or whether they move to taking a course. But this allows you to create consistency between the messaging you're doing on the internet, the way your phone is being answered, and the initial conversation you're having with people as soon as they connect with you. So you can see here I have a couple of different emails. We're running a challenge right now. So this is an example of that. Or here, you know, qualifying, right? In this case, again, qualifying. Are you looking for whatever it is that you're selling? So we get to architect the sales copy in conjunction with our AI system in order to encourage, in order to encourage your clients, your ICP, to actually engage with you over time. Now, all of this, you'll notice I have been using this right now. It is February 19th. Um, I am, uh, I've been using this since February 1st. You can see here that it actually provides a very distinct, uh, list of value that it has created for me. So this is what we do for you. We number one set up each one of these agents. We, uh, let me go back and actually show you what that setup looks like. Every agent has a set of guidelines that allow us to model exactly the way your business wants to perform, how you want these agents to do their job. It is not an easy task. It does take a bit of practice to get an AI system to consistently, safely, securely, and accurately deliver value for your business. So that's what we specialize in. Each one of these has guidelines that we can offer it. Some of these guidelines will come from your existing content. Some of them we will hard code in and say, don't ever do this. Or always do that. And this is where we offer our services to you so that we can make sure that your AI systems are not only helpful in the short term but actually create a long-term strategic impact to your business. So as a result of those guidelines, you can see here my executive assistant, right, has answered— it has processed 1,780 emails since the 1st of February. It has created 132 email drafts. Now granted, I spent a lot of time, which I would do with you as well, configuring my agent to know what to respond to and how to do that response. It takes about a week to do that work. Um, and you'll also notice here 633 social post drafts. I am publishing at least 10 times a day across all my platforms and increasing that constantly. Um, so having a tool that can generate these posts that are meaningful on brand and on message is a critical part of what— of the value that this offers. You'll notice here I also had— now, granted, I don't do a lot of long-form posting. I do one a week. So you, as you can probably tell, we are in week 3 of February, so I have 3 posts drafted. Um, but these are long-form content researched on topics that I asked them, the agent, to go out and look for, and providing deep thought about how I can engage and serve my audience with long-form content. And of course, I want it to be SEO and AEO-driven. SEO meaning that will still pop up in good old-fashioned Google, but AEO meaning we are also AI engine optimizing, meaning that ChatGPT will be picking up this content and sourcing it. So when someone's in ChatGPT and asks for questions about the kind of business I offer, my name will surface as a result of that request. And then we have Linda, who's only done one document for me so far, but I asked it to recreate that NDA for me. And You can imagine, similarly, the amount of time and money it would cost me to actually use this system if I was going to a paralegal, for example. So this just gives you a sense of the overarching impact. Now, granted, we like to use this platform as a, as I mentioned before, right, crawl, walk, run. We use this to establish our baselines, to get some immediate value into your organization. We then start thinking about, well, what about moving beyond just executive assistants, social media, receptionists, legal assistants. What about building custom agents? So we go through the process of building custom agents once we have these table stakes established in your business. That way you know what AI is doing and we can now help you build custom AI solutions for your organization. But we encourage you to start here, giving you all of the muscle memory necessary and the awareness of what it takes to really manage an AI system, but all with our help and Hopefully this was helpful in seeing how this AI system works. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to our team. We are always here for those questions. And most importantly, realize that the best thing that you can do is just get started, right? How do you know whether or not this technology will work for your business? AI is one of those decisions that it only really works once you start using it, and then It only gets better as you begin to train it. Nothing happens without action. And so I encourage you, uh, to let us know how we can help you. And hopefully, like I said, this was helpful to you. Thanks a lot. Bye.
