Noragbai P Naimah

In this presentation, Noragbai P. Naimah, founder of the Liberian non‑governmental nonprofit Youth for Quality Education (YQE), outlines the organization’s mission to advance Sustainable Development Goal 4—quality education and lifelong learning—for all Liberians. Established in 2020, YQE launched a February 2024 project titled “Educating Girl Child in the Slum of Monrovia.” The initiative targets under‑privileged female students in Monrovia’s slum communities who lack basic digital skills. The program delivers three core components: (1) computer literacy training to teach fundamental computer use; (2) entrepreneurship training—including tie‑dye, painting, and liquid‑soap making—to enable income‑generating activities and community contribution; and (3) leadership development to empower girls with confidence and gender‑equality advocacy. Naimah emphasizes that equipping girls with these skills will break cycles of poverty, foster innovation, and promote gender equality within the slums.
