YFQE STEM Learning Centre Project Liberia

In this brief presentation, Nagwapi Naimah, a Millennium Fellow at the University of Liberia, outlines the Youth for Quality Education (YFQE) STEM Learning Center project. She highlights the scarcity of community spaces dedicated to creative STEM education in Liberia and proposes establishing the first modern STEM center in a rural area such as Benin. The initiative aims to advance Sustainable Development Goal 4 targets 4.4 (skill development) and 4.5 (inclusion), focusing on underrepresented youth, including the underprivileged and disabled populations—groups she personally identifies with. Naimah emphasizes the project's potential to cultivate future Liberian scientists, engineers, technologists, and mathematicians who can address real-world challenges locally and globally. She concludes by expressing gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to this effort.
