This Resurrection weekend feels a bit different, and a part of it is I'm realizing the distance between the events that occurred Holy Week 2,000 years ago and myself today. You see, I can never really comprehend what occurred. I can't really imagine. I can read books and watch movies, but it pales into comparison to what actually happened. And I'm now settling into the reality that I'm not supposed to know, that there is still enough suffering in this world that is allocated to remind us that the present suffering we face pales in comparison to the glory that's to come. That the gospel is still saving people, that what we are all enduring and the cross that we are carrying this present day is still witnessing to the power of the cross, that the gospel is still alive. We may not be able to really embrace and walk into that suffering, but the piece, the small piece of Christ's suffering that he gives to each and every one of us is enough to still witness to those events. We may not have been there, but by faith we died with him and by faith we rise with him. And this is the faith that has allowed us to be partakers of both the suffering and the glory that is in Christ Jesus. So please take this good news and this testimony outside of Holy Week into every day of your life and preach the gospel. It is the power to save. And I pray that your good news, your accounts, the gospel according to you, will be released onto the earth so that more people can come into the truth and the knowledge that is Jesus. God bless you. Happy Resurrection weekend. Peace.
