Airbnb Makes THAT Much More Than Long Term Rentals?!

A landlord converts long-term rentals to Airbnb listings in 2-3 weeks, spending about $3,000 per bedroom to furnish them. He claims Airbnb generates at least twice the cash flow of traditional rentals, recouping the $15,000 furnishing cost quickly.

Whenever a unit becomes available, I'll always switch it to Airbnb because it usually takes about 2-3 weeks to switch over to an Airbnb. So that's a month of long-term rent essentially that you'd be like missing out on. And then you're looking at $3,000 per bedroom as a rule of thumb for furnishing. So then you're usually around like $15,000 all in to get an Airbnb set up, but you are making 2 times or more the amount of cash flow that you are a long-term rental. So it doesn't take long for that investment to pay off.
