Young entrepreneurs need to practice communication constantly, even with strangers like baristas. The more conversations you have and mistakes you make, the better you get at pitching ideas. That's how you attract collaborators who actually understand what you're trying to do.

How does a young entrepreneur go about building those skills? The thing you need to focus on is definitely the effective communication. And in order to get that skill set, you just have to be a part of a lot of conversations. I did it with Starbucks baristas. If I messed up the conversation, which I did, I'd never see those people again. And then when you get good at communication, there are going to be people that come into your life who have similar goals to you, can get on board with what you're trying to do because you know how to get it to be received.
