A property flipper returns to the Brinton duplex and explains why blinds matter. A finished unit was broken into by squatters, who caused expensive damage. Now he installs blinds on every renovation to keep people from seeing inside.

We're back at the Brinton duplex. We're working on this property, flipping it. One of the things I noticed is that these windows do not have blinds. Blinds, yes, are nice, but they are also a safety feature. So when you're redoing a unit, you want to have a way to close off the unit to the public so people like squatters can't see in. We actually had a situation once where we had a beautiful unit, it was all done, we had squatters break in, trash it, have to fix it, and then we added blinds. So learn from our mistakes, always add blinds.
