Be the smallest fish in the biggest pond possible. My name is Caleb Palmer. I'm 21 years old. I've started 3 different companies, and the biggest learning lesson I've had in the last 6 to 12 months is put yourself around bigger players. One of my mentors in the real estate space has a few thousand units compared to my under 100 units. And every time we get together, I hear things that I've never even thought of before. And if you don't want to scale, that's all good. You don't need to go out and meet these bigger players. But if you have aspirations, you need to either meet with people who, A, have already accomplished what you're looking to do, or B, are farther down the line to accomplishing your goal. If your goal is to have a few thousand units in real estate, you need to meet with people who either have a few hundred more than you or already have a few thousand. If you're content where you're at, this isn't for you. But if you have dreams and aspirations to scale, you need to put yourself around bigger players.
