After years of wanting one, the speaker finally completed a $6.5 million pool in Texas, funded by revenue from 76 nearby apartments that are nearly full. The project faced delays but is now operational.

I always wanted a pool. $6.5 million into this pool. I finally own my first pool in Texas. Now, if you're not from Texas, you might think, hey, that sounds like a lot. However, I subsidized the cost with this by including the 76 apartments behind me, which, by the way, are almost 100% occupied. Took me a little bit of time, but the pool is back up and running. And finally, at long last, I have a pool.
