Mentorship: Worth Every Penny

Christian Osgood lost $1.4 million early in his career. He argues mentorship pays for itself: a $10K investment returned $120K in six months, and it prevents the $40-80K mistakes he and Jason have already made.

Early in my career, I made a mistake that cost me about $1.4 million. If I could save you $1.4 million, or if Jason can save you $80,000 on a transaction, that's, in my opinion, that's the value of mentorship. And that's why we ask the stupid tax question. Like, if you're listening to this podcast, get tidbits from every episode of what not to do. Save yourselves tens, 20s, 30s, 100s, million dollars, depending on how large the mistake is. Don't make the same mistakes that we make. Yeah, no, that's Fantastic, fantastic lessons. And they're all avoided by working with people who've done what you want to do. Right people on your team. You're going to cut those costs down.
Yeah, 1,000%. If you're going to spend $10K on a mentorship and it makes you $120K in 6 months, was it worth it? Of course. And if it can avoid you making that $40,000 to $80,000 mistake because we've made them along the way, I'd rather you not take your lumps. Like, you know, maybe you're not as profitable as you want to be on the first project because you're learning.
