There's a lesson I learned buying a resort after buying 200 multifamily rentals. I've done multifamily, I've done mobile home parks. That's my specialty, providing housing to people who need it. Entry-level housing, value-add, that is what I am a master of. I bought this hotel, $4.5 million, seller financed, $0 out of my pocket. Now while that sounds really cool, it sounded cool to me. So I was like, this is the adventure we need. And it's beautiful, Olympic Mountains, we're on the water. There's actually a Hood Canal is right out front. Sometimes you can even see orcas going through it. Salmon come up our stream. It is amazing, and it was totally the wrong decision. Here's the two lessons. One, find what you're best in the world at and stick with it. We are good at value-add multifamily, providing housing to those who need it at affordable prices. We are good at that. This is like luxury glamping. That is not my niche. Uh, two, your people who are good at one thing, specifically multifamily, people who are good at the one thing, your staff, your friends, your team, you're not always going to be good at the next thing. Hospitality is not the same as a rental property. Learn it the hard way. But welcome to the Robinhood.
