Christian Osgood inspects one of his rental units after accusations of being a slumlord and finds a toilet shimmed instead of properly mounted, cracking the bowl and rotting the subfloor. He gives himself an 8.3 slum score and admits the fix was simple but neglected.

A high school friend just accused me of being a slumlord. Now I'm used to this on YouTube. I get accused of being a slumlord a lot, even though we provide excellent places for excellent people to live. However, I just got a picture of one of my units and I think they might be right. I'm gonna have to slum score myself. This, this is a slummy toilet situation. It looks like it was shimmed in place. Now I believe I bought it this way. I did not notice this in any of our walkthroughs, which is horrible because I always look for this type of stuff. Uh, it's shimmed up, uh, because it is not mounted correctly. It has now cracked the toilet, it's leaking, we've rotted out some of the subfloor. So I have to give myself an 8.3 slum score. This is pretty slummy. This is a janky fix to a really easy problem.
