Christian Osgood argues stocks give you no control over what companies do or how prices move, while multifamily real estate lets you directly influence outcomes and generate cash flow. His indicator for success is simple: tenants moving into his buildings.
Stocks are stupid.
Buy multifamily instead.
If you're putting all your money and faith into other people's businesses, that's cool, but I like to take control of what I'm doing.
You can't control if a CEO sneezes or says something stupid. Stock prices can go like this. And while it's fun to watch them go up and down and make bets on a company, essentially you are betting on something that you are not the operator or controller of.
Now you may say, well, I've got my indicators and I think it's going to go up. My indicators are people are moving to my buildings.
Invest in stable cash-flowing assets. You will always need housing, and that is a ship that you can steer.
