Employees get distracted constantly, so property managers should use door signs like "Do Not Disturb" and "Working Remotely" to block out time for focused work versus tenant interactions. A cheap fix that lets people actually finish tasks.

So your average employee has the attention span of roughly a goldfish. They have all these squirrel moments. Just to be fair, so do entrepreneurs. However, I'm paying them to do a job, and since they have a salary, they have to meet requirements. So we put this on every single property manager's door in a meeting: Do Not Disturb, Please Knock, Back Soon, Working Remotely. We have all the options so that we can be available for our tenants when we're supposed to be available for our tenants. And when we're not supposed to be available, we're supposed to get other stuff done, we're going to get those done. Your employees only are going to be good at one of those two things. They're either going to lock in on the administrative tasks or the people tasks. If your employees are bad blocking their time, which they are, little things like this go a long way and cost next to nothing.
