Here's why the right partner matters. One of my first partnerships over the first few years, each of us made several million dollars, about $2.5 million each, buying real estate, starting businesses. The partnership went amazingly. However, there was no plan on how to end the partnership and no end goal. So what ended up happening is it cost over $1 million to break up that partnership. Now we made $2.5, it cost a little over $1, net very, very positive. But the next partnership I did was even better. And you can take this into your own business. We came in with a solid game plan. We came in with an exit plan. We have made millions, and I mean millions and millions of dollars in less than half the time. We have clear plans and designations, clearly written operating agreements, but we all know what the goal is. And there is a clear path for us to inexpensively divide up the businesses should we ever want to go different directions. It doesn't need to cost you millions of dollars to make millions of dollars if you choose the right partnership.
