Christian Osgood scaled from 4 to 100 rental units in 14 months by buying duplexes. Banks rejected him because his W-2 income didn't meet their criteria, so he used creative financing instead to keep buying.

That's exactly where I got stuck. It took me 2 duplexes. So the same thing, 4 units, I was making more money, both of them cash flowed, not even quite as well as yours did, they just cash flowed well. I owned one house that I lived in, a duplex over in a city called Bremerton and duplex on the other side of the state, I had to get creative because the banks are like, yeah, your income is higher than it ever was. But your W-2 income isn't enough to justify more loans. And that's where I hit creative financing as well.
