Christian Osgood's company leased six units to a nonprofit supporting women in need. The nonprofit never paid rent or utilities, posted TikTok videos of tenants dancing in the building, and wrote that it won't pay under the two-year lease. Osgood expects a lawsuit costing hundreds of thousands of dollars.

I can't say too much because we're actively in a lawsuit about this, but crazy squatter situation. We actually master leased to a nonprofit that helps women in need to one of our properties. I won't say which one, but we leased multiple units, 6 units to them to master lease. However, they did not pay their full first month's rent, they did not pay any of the second month's rent, they did not pay any of their utility reimbursement, and they just sent us a demand that we need to reduce their rent even though I'm seeing TikTok videos of them dancing in front of our building with the tenants that they're putting in the building. They're Oh, it's successful, this is amazing, we're so blessed. Uh, they haven't paid the rent, they are squatting times 6. Even worse, they signed a 2-year lease. They're gonna see a multiple 6-figure lawsuit, and they put it in writing that they're not going to pay. So, uh, fun things. But before you bitch about the landlords making too much, sometimes we deal with situations like this. This is going to cost a lot before we get paid. We're ready for it, but it still sucks.
