Gary, thanks again. Most underpriced attention right now.
Snapchat. Snapchat.
It's coming back.
Snapchat Spot. It never went away. You never executed in there.
I never did. Might do it.
Snapchat Spotlight.
I think Snapchat will be the same.
I don't think people understand just because there's many people that use it in Mexico. Not as many as TikTok. But if there's 25 million people using it and no one's creating for it, you can get more than. If there's 100 million people on Tik Tok but everyone's using it. It's supply in the M. And don't.
You think it would be better to focus on the ones that your people is watching? Like we talk about business.
Yeah, fair enough. If you're Talking like hardcore B2B is like if you're talking general business or personal development. Personal development is, Is for everybody. Yeah. You have to. Here's the thing. You can't decide subjectively not to do it until you do it for six months. Then you can. The number one difference between me and most people is people love to say no before we say me. Yeah, amazing. And the reason I call it day trading is the other mistake people make. Do you know how many people emailed me recently last year or two said, when you were yelling 45 years ago about TikTok, I did it. It didn't work. I stopped. I wish I kept going. I say maybe and I say maybe every day. I almost never get to. You understand. Because if there's a tension, there's a tension, you know, it might not be the most. Yeah.
And what about the team? We have been growing the media team recently, but we came to a. We passed from an editor's problem to a distribution problem. So what would be your. Your ideal, ideal small team sell. What were the key roles would be?
I think the key roles for people that know how to post, produce video. And I think it's platform expertise. Oh, platform specific. Yeah. Now I know them well. You'd like to find someone who can be good at multiple, but you've got to be good at all of them. So we, my team, we Evan Blum, that's a member of somebody who's good at all three. But then we'll find someone who's so good if he's in charge of Instagram, LinkedIn, Snap, she joins the team and she's a killer at LinkedIn. We'll take LinkedIn and show Justin LinkedIn he may take Pinterest. You're taking in absent clothes. So somebody might have three, some might have one. It all becomes value. You can imagine if you're getting a million views on every post on a platform, you'll be willing to put two people on it.
But what about now all these guys are going solo and doing their like automated channels on YouTube and raking in the butts.
So do that. Like you saw the other day with Instagram. Like they're going to start down playing automation.
Oh yeah.
And giving it to the creator. I don't know. I don't know if you saw that.
I did.
The president or CEO of Instagram came out all the aggregators of content. They're going to start giving them no reach original content day trading attention. Anything I say right now, in three weeks, I might have a different opinion.
Strong opinions, loosely held.
I have. I have a macro opinion, but it's. That's why I've been here for 15 years. I was right in the macro and I have the humility to adjust day to day. In the micro, people get stuck. They get some success and they get stuck. It starts to cripple around and then all of a sudden, what got them there, they change. One of the biggest strengths I have is I double down on what gets me there. And I recognize when I'm like, wait a minute, I'm stopping doing what I'm doing. I gotta get back to, you know. But what if you notice that people are not taking it the same way as before? They never do. The most famous people in the world. Taylor Swift's career. There's been different levels of the people.
She has a tour called era.
It's normal. I would say I'm not at the height mine two years ago, like that first year of COVID I was everywhere. I'm okay with that. You know why? I have no choice. Yeah. And it's a long wrong game.
Do or die.
Like. Yeah. It's like it's a forever game and you can stop anytime. But like, people really struggle with their first hit. And then when it's not hitting, they get anxious because they think they went away, but it didn't. If you have the ability to make it happen the first time, you have the ability again. But it might just be some in betweens. People stress. You also said something else. Everyone does. While I have this on tension, shouldn't I start a. You know. But meanwhile, it's your creativity that's. And all your stress is killing your creativity. Yeah. And then you're scared to try new. You're scared to try a new character cuz what if it doesn't do well? But I think everybody's on defense. Everyone's fear of not succeeding leads to them not succeeding.
You keep your family out of your social shows?
Yes.
Why?
Like I don't want people to have access to my personal life. I think it's too important, it's too sacred to me. I don't want you all to have opinions about my children or my ex wife, my fiance, my parents. Like I keep it very in life. Always did. I just.
I don't.
Anything that you give the world becomes theirs. So I think that there's a lot of collateral damage that potentially comes for them for and for you. You know, think about all the children right now that are being used by their parents and abuse who are gonna be 18 one day and be like you mom and dad, you abuse you. That's crazy for them. Making the choice. Making the choice for your children to make them public figures is a very interesting. I don't judge. I think everyone has their own failing. But that's. But that's the reason.
Smart.
I think so.
Do you mind if we picture?
Let's do it. Yeah.
