As we age, it gets harder and harder to gain muscle, even maintain it for that matter. And I think that's why it becomes increasingly important to actually consider supplementation. A randomized controlled trial out of Spain recently looked at this, took two groups of people over the age of 60 with and without creatine plus HMB, which is essentially in the leucine pathway. And the group that exercised alone with placebo really had minimal gains, but the group that had creatine and HMB made much more substantial gains. So I think this just shows that we have to exercise, stay active, we also have to consider supplementation as we get older, and that's why I take creatine daily to try to maintain my strength.
