Episode 159 - The Impact of Toxins on Health and Resilience with Dr. Paul Savage

Podcast interview (Over 40 Alpha) where Funk Roberts and Dr. Paul Savage discuss the growing burden of environmental toxins, their effects on hormones (esp. testosterone), inflammation, brain and metabolic health, and practical avoidance and removal strategies. Dr. Savage recounts his transition from ER physician to precision-medicine advocate, outlines the top toxin categories he sees (microplastics, glyphosate, heavy metals, BPA, mold toxins), describes a clinical toxin test (110 analytes) and a plasma-exchange protocol (monthly sessions, cumulative removal over 3–5 treatments) for rapid detox, and gives immediate mitigation steps (HEPA air filters, reverse-osmosis water, reduce plastics, sauna/sweating, diet). The episode references MDLifespan as the test/treatment provider and includes a $100-off referral code for listeners.

Welcome to the Over 40 Alpha podcast with your host, Funk Roberts.
We are live. We are live.
We are live. And welcome to the Over 40 Alpha podcast. And in this episode, we are going to be tackling toxins. I'm your host, Funk Roberts, former professional athlete turned master metabolic trainer, certified hormone and testosterone expert, and a health and fitness guru for men just like you over the age of 40, 50, 60, 70 and beyond. And I'm your host. And in this podcast, we specifically have designed this, or I have, for the man over 40, because I talk about, and we talk about and we tackle ways to naturally increase testosterone levels, mindset strategies, workouts, nutrition recovery, sleep supplementation, and health issues. And as I mentioned at the very beginning, today we're going to talk about toxins. What are toxins and what are toxins doing to our body? What are toxins doing to, to our health? What are they doing to your health? I bet you don't know. I bet you don't realize that they're harming us at a rate that's alarming and it's not getting any better, it's getting worse. And today I'm excited because I have Dr. Paul Savage, who, when he was 37 years old, was 267 pound unhealthy ER physician in Detroit. The that means back in the day, if you got shot or, you know, you, you got injured and you were in Detroit, you were going to see Dr. Savage in the ER. But as a lot of doctors have, specifically in a stressful environment like that, he faced his own health crisis and he wanted to, you know, to choose a healthy life. He wanted to change his life. And he'll explain it to us in this episode. He's now an advocate for precision medicine using therapies that will help innate and take out and remove toxins to the body. Like I mentioned before, he was an ER doctor and he came out of retirement to talk more about, do more research around and create and focus on a therapeutic protocol called plasma exchange, which literally removes every type of toxin from the body. In fact, I did a toxin test. So we're going to go over that toxin test on this episode. I'm going to be completely transparent. I got the feedback, but, you know, of course I read a little bit of it, but I really wanted to do this live on the podcast with Dr. Savage, which is what we do.
But he's going to educate us on, on what toxins are, what we need to look at, look for the impact that toxins are having on our health, on our hormones.
On our mood, our mental health, and how we can detoxify. And I'm not talking about doing all of these crazy revenue driven detoxes that actually don't work because they don't detox. A detox is to remove toxins. These don't remove toxins. They just make you feel good for a short period of time. But if you don't remove the toxins, which means removing the behavior or the things that you're using from your life, then you're not detoxing because those things will just continue to be there.
But you know what? Dr. Savage is here to help us. He's here to give us a better understanding of how we can remove the toxins that are even closest to us. You know, one thing I talked about in this episode is that as, as men, we're here to provide, protect, procreate. Right? Protection is one of the key things. And where do you, are you supposed to be the, feel the safest in your life? Where, where is it that you are supposed to feel the safest? Well, it's your house, it's where you live, it's your in quotations kingdom. You're supposed to feel the safest there. That's where your family will feel safe. That's where you'll feel safe. In fact, that's where you feel like you have the over. The things you do on a daily basis, what you bring in, what you take out, how you conduct yourself and behave inside the house, that's your safe zone. But toxins are all over our safe zone. Toxins are prevalent in our house. Toxins are prevalent in the place we're supposed to feel the safest. And they're killing us. And they're killing us at an alarming rate. And they're killing us. When we're younger, yes, we're in our 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, and we have to be in a state of health that helps us live for the next 40, 50, 60, 70 years healthy. But what about our wives? What about our children? What about our grandchildren? What about the people who we love that come into our safe zone and we're exposing them to a toxic environment that we don't even know that we're living in.
And we're now increasing the chances of not only us getting cancer and Alzheimer's disease and autoimmune disorders and all the other things, but we are increasing those chance, let alone trying to transform our body, you know, lose weight, build muscle, increase our testosterone levels, decrease the, the hormones that are, that are causing imbalances.
And it starts in our home because, yes, there are lots of toxins outside of the home, but we can't, we can't initially deal with those. They're there. But we have to start in our own house. We can't start advocating for what's going on outside until we clean up what's going on inside. So stay tuned. And the other thing I want to say before we start this incredible, incredible podcast episode is that this episode is going to be sponsored by midlifespan.com this is Dr. Savage's website, but this is a place where you can get a toxin test, because we are going to be going over my toxin test in the second half of this podcast episode. So if you go to midlife, sorry, MD lifespan.com forward/ funk, you're going to receive a hundred dollars off the toxin kit.
MD lifespan.com that's MD L I F E S P-A-N.com forward/ funk, that's going to give you a hundred dollars off the toxin test. Get that test. Your doctor is not going to know about a toxin test. Your doctor is going to have no clue about not only what the toxin test is, but who to refer you to. That's why I'm referring you to Paul Savage, his team at Mid Lifespan. Now, maybe your doctor, if your doctor is, you know, into precision medicine and functional medicine and understands the importance of toxins and getting and reading toxin tests and, and all of those things, because most doctors don't, just because that's not what they do. Family doctors, that is. Then, man, that's great. Get your doctor to get you a toxin test and then go over it with you 100%. But 99.9 of the time, they won't be able to do that for you. So get it yourself. Take the test. Mdlifespan.com forward/ funk. Get a hundred dollars off your toxin test and talk package because he'll also go over your tests with you. And with that.
Listen to this podcast. This is going to open your eyes. But I don't just want you to listen to the podcast at the end. I want you to take action, Take action, take stock, take action and get it done. And enjoy the podcast. Welcome. Welcome to today's podcast. And I want to ask you guys a question. What do you think of when you think of toxins? Right? Because I know for me, you know, it hasn't, it's only been about four or five years where the word toxins kind of meshed with health and fitness. But when I Think about toxins. At the beginning, I'm thinking about oil spills and, you know, pollution in the air and from cars. And it's only been for the last, you know, five or six years that we start to think about there's more toxins and everyday things that we use, you know. You know, you hear me about bpa, you hear me, you know, kind of touch the. The toxin, you know, the talk on toxins. But I'm excited today because we really don't know too much. I mean, if I went to my doctor right now and said, hey, can you give me a toxins test? My doctor would look at me like, what the hell are you talking about? And then if I even asked my doctor to refer me to somebody, I'm sure, like most of you, they had no clue who to refer you to. So today we have the man, Dr. Paul Savage, who is leading the charge in everything to do with toxins. And we're going to learn about what they are, the impact of our health and, and what it has on our body and how to deto toxify. And so thank you so much, Dr. Savage, for being on today. How you doing?
I'm doing good, Robert. I'm doing real well. Thanks. Thanks for having me. Because you're right. This is a existential generational crisis that we're facing right now with the toxins. You know, I've been DOC for 35 years, in the last 25 years in this world of health and wellness, and been done, had a lot of fun. I built a lot of centers, I built a couple fellowships, I built a software program, and then I actually retired in August of 22, having thought I completed everything. But as one of my colleagues I was talking about, I was disappointed because there was one area I never quite got able to solve, and that was what had to do with toxins. Because in the last 25 years in integrated space, I've been measuring people's toxins, and 25 years ago, they weren't there. Ten years ago, about half of the people had them. Three years ago, 80% of the people had them. In this past year, after I've come back out of retirement to tackle this problem, everybody we tested had high critical levels of toxins, and we can talk about all the different various ones. And this was a group of people from Chicago. So understandably, Chicago is a cesspool of toxins, but so is everywhere else in the United States. It's just getting ambiguous. Everywhere.
Yeah. So you talked about being an ER doctor. So how did you how did you transition from the ER to toxins? Because that's not generally a natural transition.
What.
What was your origin story to get you to where you are today?
Yeah, it's been a journey, that's for sure. And I worked at the largest trauma center in the world, and I was a nighttime guy. So if you got shot in Detroit in the 1980s, I was the guy who you were going to come see in the emergency room at some point. I did that for 10 years. And after 10 years, I had gained so much weight. I was 267 pounds. I worked the night shift. I had depression, anxiety, sleep problems, and addiction problems. I smoked cigarettes. I didn't work out. I had everything that you'd say don't do if you want to be healthy, I was doing it. So when patients come to see me, I was like, listen, trust me. You can. You can tell me anything. I was there at one point, but it's because of my health and my heart disease at the age of 35, and every guy in my family dies at 60, that my doctor said, you don't get this crap figured out. In five years, you're going to be dead. And I knew he was serious. So he said what every doctor says, Go eat better and get some exercise. And I walked out of his office, and I'm walking down the streets. And this is one of those corners of your life where everything changes. I realized I had no idea how to do any of that. I just didn't. And that just. That's where the Dawning came to. I gotta go figure this out. And that's where I've been for the last 25 years, is figuring it out.
So you had no idea that. I mean, you know, you're. That story resonates with a lot of people. Well, a lot of guys listening to this, because that's generally how I come across. A lot of the guys who listen to this or in my program, they get to a point, you know, where, okay, my health is this. Or I had a stroke or heart disease or whatever it is. And then. But I don't know what to do. I don't know what to eat. I don't know how to exercise. I haven't done it in so long. So that story really resonates. So what did you do? Like, how did you get, like, you know, like, did you look for somebody to help you? Like, how. Like, what were the steps that you took?
First thing I did. First thing I did was went out and found a trainer. And this trainer, his name is Daniel Spencer. He was a junior Olympic gold medal winner for martial arts. Big Italian guy. I figured he had to know what working out was all about. And I went and found a nutritionist who was one of the top nutritionists in Chicago. And between the two of them, I was put into a program of exercise and nutrition that was unlike anything I'd ever done before. And six months later, I'm £13 fatter. I was like, what? How's that possible? I mean, I'm sweating every day within five days a week. I mean, because as I later found out when I tested my testosterone, now, mind you, this is the early 90s. I'm one of the first docs that started looking at this way back then. And my testosterone was that of a 90 year old. So I went to my friend who was an endocrinologist. I said, tom, I need testosterone. He goes, no, you don't. I said, yeah, I'm 35, I have no testosterone. We'll go work out and eat better. I said, I've been doing that for six years or for six months. And he said, well, we can't give it to you because it's illegal, because it's in the anti steroid act. You can only give it to guys who've had testicular cancer or testicular trauma. That's it. And that's when I realized something was amiss here. So I did what every guy did. I started searching the Internet for testosterone. And I came across a group of doctors that actually started talking about prescribing testosterone for guys who were like me, in their 30s and 40s and were having problems. And I went to one of their meetings in Las Vegas. It was actually the first step towards getting there. And I met some people, said, yeah, here's testosterone. Let's put you on it at a reasonable physiologic dose. Understanding what I need to do. Within seven months, Robert, I'm down 70 pounds of fat, up 30 pounds of muscle. The lights came back on my sexual desire, which I hadn't even realized was gone, came back and I was like, man, why are we not doing this for guys? And that's where I made the decision that I needed to leave the emergency room. I told the director of the emergency services. I was like, I'm giving you my res. I'm giving you my resignation. I'm leaving because where you going? He thought I was going another er, some trauma center said, no, I'm going to go out and build clinics for guys on health and wellness based around testosterone. Now Mind you, this is 1997. There wasn't any of these things out there at this point. He was like, are you crazy? He goes, insurance won't pay for that. I said, no, it's a cash basis business. He goes, people won't pay for that. Yeah, they will. And that's how it all got started. And then by 2016, because of myself and Abraham Morgan Taylor, who was the urologist at Harvard, and a couple other people, we got testosterone out of the Anti Steroid act back into the hands of doctors so that could, they could start giving guys who needed it this therapy. Now, mind you, I didn't know that then, but what I know now is, guys, testosterone is 50% lower today than it was 50 years ago. And everybody's like, why is that happening? And we knew it's the toxins. It's all the xenoestrogens. Remind you there's all sorts of different toxins in the universe. The xenoestrogens are one of them. And they act like estrogen to guys. And estrogen is what turns off our testosterone and makes us fat. But we can't test. We didn't have the ability to test it. But anyway, so long story short, I built 70 centers. Suzanne Summers came in my office. She goes, you're going to do the guys, you got to do the women. So we started treating the women with hormones, including testosterone. Women need testosterone as bad as the guys do. And then here I am, 25 years later, retired, and thinking, you know what? All those five tenets of health, we all know what those are. Nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress management, and detox. I did the first four real well. I never got my hands around the last one because it's really hard to get toxins out of the body. All these things that people talk about, detox, cleanse, they don't detox you. They don't get the toxins out. What they do is they turn off the inflammation and the oxidation that the toxins cause, but it doesn't get the toxins out. So I always have a hard time with my colleagues in integrated medicine. So this is a detox program. It's not a detox program if you're not getting the toxins out. Now, I know some of the brightest toxicologists in the United States, and one of them is Paul Anderson, and I always call him a detoxicologist. He spent the last 30 years coming up with protocols to get various different toxins out. You have this type of mold, do this, you have that, mercury, do that. And he spent his whole lifetime coming up with these and doing papers on this and developing more programs. So when I actually retired a few weeks later, a major study came out that had to do with longevity. I don't know if you remember the young mouse and the old mouse story where they tied them together and the old mouse got young and everybody went, what's in the young mouse? Again? They got the old mouse young. And it took us a while to figure out wasn't anything in the young mouse, it's what was in the old mouse that was making the old mouse old. And that's what we had to get out. And that was toxins. Yeah. So that paper came out and what I realized at that point was this group in Stanford had actually figured out how to get toxins out. So I was like, wow, I have to go back into business. Because this is the one part, this is the major study, and this is the major point that we are facing us today, Robert, is toxins. And I've been around the world the 35 years in this. You know, as a doctor, in 25 years in this field, I've heard everything from brain health to gut health to hormone health, to anti inflammatory antioxidants, anti cancer cycles. Let me tell you something, this is all of those in one. If you start looking at chronic inflammation, and we all know inflammation is the hallmark of everything bad, and everything from Alzheimer's to heart disease to cancer comes from inflammation. And we know that inflammation drives all the things. Question is, what's driving the inflammation? I got news for you. The beast that drove it 60 years ago is not the same beast that drives it today. In 1960, it was cigarette smoking and some chronic infections like hepatitis, typhus, all these things that people get ill from. But there was very little inflammation and chronic inflammation in the literature. If you don't believe me, go to ChatGPT is a. Hey, ChatGPT. Compare and contrast chronic inflammation from 1960 to today. And ChatGPT will say it wasn't there in 1960. It's different today. It's much more prevalent and it's accelerating. That's an important part to realize is that it's speeding up. It's not just linear with the growth of the population, it's hockey sticking high. And you have to ask yourself what's driving that? And the only answer is toxins.
Wow. Yeah, you, you uncovered a lot here, which is incredible. So I'm just going to kind of back up a little bit because you talked about testosterone and my whole program is helping men naturally Increase testosterone. Because that's, you know, the base from, for me is I did that when I was 39 and I was facing a lot of, you know, you know, unhealthy. And even though I was a fitness guy online, I was still not really practicing everything that I was preaching. And I was doing things differently as well. But my T levels were super low. Same thing I went to the doctor do. Doctor told me at 39 that my testosterone levels are 185 nanograms per deciliter. And I didn't have the connection. I thought that because I was still a bigger guy, that, yes, okay, that, you know, that I must have high testosterone, but I didn't. And that led me down to addictions and depression and suicidal thoughts and all of those things before that. But then when he told me that, and then he said, but you can naturally increase, that's when I went down that road of just what are the things I have to put in place and change? Which. Which is what, 100 and so that's. Yeah. So, and, and, but I love what you talked about how when you were on testosterone or your. And your testosterone levels got high, what the effects were with your body, right? Like you lost the weight, you were building muscle, you were feeling great, your libido was great. So again, guys, that's just the testament to why we want to be doing everything we can to, you know, naturally increase testosterone. Unless you have some type of testicular or brain. Brain. Brain injuries.
Well, I mean, you're absolutely right. I mean, Robert, without question, the first thing that I do with guys is find out, is there something I can change to get your own testosterone up. And there's a lot of. Most of the things, Most of the testosterone deficiency that guys have in their 40s is because of visceral fat. We know that that's the negative fat that. That causes all the inflammation and that actually suppresses your testosterone as it increases your cortisol, which is exactly what you don't want to do. And there's so many different things you can do with diet and exercise. There are supplements that you can use many different things. Most, I'd say 90% of the guys that we see in their 40s, I'm able to get the testosterone back to normal levels without doing testosterone. Nor do I want to. Because you want to save testosterone till later. Yeah. When your testes have declined and they do die off at 1 to 2% per year after the age of 25. So by 50, you're probably down 25 to 30% on the cellular mass. By the time you're 70, you're probably pretty darn low. And that's when you need to start the testosterone injections itself. So it's a blend. But you're absolutely correct. The vast majority of guys, and I, I get aggravated every time I see these doctors put these young guys on testosterone and they haven't gone through all the other things first. Right, because once you get, put them on testosterone, you're pretty much committing them to testosterone for the rest of their life.
Exactly, yes. So, yeah, I love that too. And then he talked about the detox, because that is a big thing. Like that was the. I'm, I'm imagining that still may be something in the health industry. But the, the biggest thing is that detox, right? You go, oh yeah, this is a detox. We're doing a three day detox, a five day detox, a six day Detox. Detox, Detox, detox. People made a ton of money on the detox. Detox, detox. And sure, maybe it detoxified you for whatever that detox is for a little bit. But you said something that was super important is that it doesn't remove the toxins.
Removing the toxins. And it doesn't do it. That's exactly what it doesn't do. Right. There are things, there are things that you can do to get some of these toxins out naturally. Like infrared saunas. Any sauna that gets your temperature up to about 104, because it will come out, almost all of them come out through the pores. There are some things that you can do with charcoal and clay that kind of grab it from the inside and pull it out. But let me explain something, and I want to be very clear this. In 25 years of doing what I did and being a health and wellness expert with so many different clinics, I never found anything. And I tried everything that worked, especially on all the various different toxins that everybody has. Understand? We don't. It's not like he has mercury and he has BPA and he has mold toxins and he has pesticides. Everybody has everything. Now it's just a question of how high and how much.
Yeah, 100%. I saw that in my, in my readings.
I do know, actually, Robert, yours was actually one of the better ones that I see with guys your age. So people are like, holy crap. I'm like, comparatively, you're pretty good.
Okay, I love you. I love you for that, Dr. Paul.
I love it. Don't mean we don't have Stuff to talk about there.
Yeah, yeah, no, no, we definitely do automatic. Yeah. So let's go into like, what are some of the toxins in our environment that people are unaware of? Because I, again, I'm like, this is what I do. But I'm totally unaware of the toxins that maybe that, you know, that are in my environment. So what are some of those that people should be aware of?
First off, let's define toxins. Yes, that's a very important thing to do. Define toxins. What's a toxin? A toxin is something that comes into your body and is harmful to you, period. So it could be. I consider viruses like Covid a toxin. They're a live toxin. The body's reacting to them. But also there's just a lot of other toxins. In 1960 is when it all started, because before 1960, we didn't have any of these things. We started using atrazine and pesticides in 1960. Then in 1970, we started digging in the dirt to get all the rare heavy metals so we could make computer parts and things. And then the explosion of cars and transportation is the burning of oils. And then we had all that stuff going on. And finally you had the industrial machine making all these toxins with all the products, whether you're eating them or they're industry making things and they're dumping it into our water. So now, currently this year, we're dumping 250 billion tons of toxins into our environment every year. And that's just the United States. Wow.
And so you say the word dumping and I think what people, people misunder. I think people misunderstand what dumping truly is. What, what do you mean? Like, clarify?
Well, the government allows them to drain off the toxins into the water supply or bury it in the dirt.
Right.
That's what, that's what I mean by dumping is they're not getting, they're not. The government doesn't allow it doesn't make them clean up their waste. There's. If it's not on a list, they can dump it into the environment. Only later, after they find out it's dangerous, they put it on the list. Oh, no, it's too late. The, you know, the beast is already out of the barn.
So if the, if it's in our environment, our waters and in our, in our, in our dirt, you know, that starts to come into our food supply, I'm sure. And drinking water in some, in some sources in some places.
You know, I used to be able to tell people 20 years ago that Mercury was from the fish and the lead from the water, and that the PCB's was. Because you're not. Are they pesticides? Because you weren't washing your fruit and vegetables well enough now I can't say that anymore because it's so gotten everywhere. I mean, they dumped it in the water, but then they then went up in the air and they got poured down onto the grass and then went up into the grass. And that was in the end, literally, it's everywhere. So I can't say that emergency people like, where does it come from? And I tell them, food, air and water. It's 80% of where it gets from, which is why this is going to shock you. Out of the 144,000 toxins that we know are in our environment now, 80% of those are in your home.
I know, I know. I see it every day.
They're in your food, they're in your dry cleaning, they're under your sink, they're in your carpets, they're in your fabric of your furniture. And when you close up your house so you don't let it air out, you're just baking it into the air, into the environment.
Well, that's what you just said there is so freaking powerful. The fact that we always look externally, outside of the place. That's supposed to be the safest, right? Our home is supposed to be the safest. And we're always looking outside and blaming, you know, we see people with masks in, you know, I mean, we know why, you know, before there was covet, people would wear masks for, you know, the car, the. The, you know, the exhaust coming out of the cars. And, and. And, you know, depending on if you live close to a factory. And it was always external, external, external. But what you just said there about internal, like in our house, and I know this for a fact that when I used to clean the carpet with the cat cleaner. Listen, this is. I'm coming clean with everything. But I used to pour that. That powder and then vacuum to get the house to smell nice and what have you. But that was getting baked into our carpet to the point where we bought a new vacuum. And when we, you know, push down on the carpet, that whole vacuum would fill up with all of the white flakes from that powder. And it's like, oh, my God. And then I would, if I would, you know, do any mobility or what have you on our old carpet, I would start to itch and be like, why am I scratching?
Why am I itching? And.
And we realized, like, oh, My God. It's because all, like all of the times, the thousand times that I tried to clean the carpets, it just kept getting baked. So just that alone started my, my thought process of man, there's, there's got to be a lot more in this house that's, that's toxic, right?
Yep. Which is why, you know, we kind of cut to the chaser. For those listeners that want the quick answer. The quick answer is get a HEPA filter for your house, for the air, get it triple filtered reverse osmosis to filter your drinking water. And they get things like steel canteen or something that has no plastic to hold it in. And then finally just wash your food by take fresh food, not processed, and wash it and you, you're 80% of the way there, Robert, with just that. Because the best, you know, and everything that we talk about on detoxing, literally getting the toxins out, the first rule is avoidance. Stop putting it in if you want, don't want to have to get it out. And if you're going to get it out, you don't want it to go back in. So air, food and water. Right.
So what are, what are, how do these toxins affect us? Right. How do they disrupt our enzymes and the hormone functions? We talked a little bit about testosterone, but, but how does this affect us on a, on our, on our organ and, and the enzymes in our body?
Sure. Think of it this way. I think everybody's pretty understanding that enzymes run all the chemistry that make us who we are. That's what's called biochemistry. And all of those enzymes require nutrients to make them work. So there's B vitamins and magnesiums and CoQ10 and all sorts of things that this enzyme has to have. Otherwise it won't work to make cortisol, to make testosterone, to make energy, to make whatever you need. Well, toxins are kind of the exact opposite of the vitamin. They come in and they occupy those spaces on the enzyme, but they don't activate the enzyme. So mercury comes in and grabs where magnesium would usually go, but it doesn't activate the enzyme, so it freezes the enzyme and that whole biopathway stops working completely. Now, well, the toxins can come in and mess up the bio, the metabolic pathways, the ones that are anti inflammatory, that are energy producing, that are antioxidants, but they also interfere with the pathways that get rid of toxins. So toxins come in and break the process for you to get rid of them. And what we're seeing in our studies, because We've done over 200 people so far is we see this, most of the group of Everybody is about 12% toxic. And then there's this other group of women that are 30. Wow. And we can get into that of why that is. But what it is is these women with low body mass and high metabolism get a certain amount of toxins and they break their detox cycle and so suddenly they shoot up. Right. And they're in this total class all by themselves. We're not seeing that in the guys yet. Right. We're seeing it in the women's. But here's my point. Everything we talk about today, in 10 years will be twice as big. That.
Wow. So, yeah, that always blows my mind how we are so advanced in technology and medicine and research and what we know and health and all of these things. The word we are like literally getting more and more unhealthy. We're in the worst health possible right now. And in, in, in modern day history, we are the most unhealthiest pretty much that we've ever been.
You know what Stephen Hawking, who I consider to be the brightest man in the world, said one month before he died? He said, pollution and our stupidity to it is the existential threat that is going to undo mankind. Wow. And then he died of als, which is a toxin caused neurodegenerative disease. That's just what you call irony.
Yeah, no doubt.
It's not nuclear war, it's not climate change, it's going to be the toxins because we're seeing guys, testosterone level lower, we're seeing women's get their periods earlier, we're seeing kids. I say kids, 30 and 40 year olds getting cancer at a rate we've never seen before. And did you know Alzheimer's in the 30 to 40 year olds has increased 387% in the last 10 years.
Wow, that's a good thing.
Alzheimer's are attacking our. And we were talking about you're not an adult till you're 50. But I'm 60. You're about 50, right?
55.
Yeah. Yeah. So life doesn't really start. You're 50 because honestly, everybody listening, you're going to get it when you're 50, but it takes that long before you start understanding how life works. And if you're one of those people that realizes that early in your life, bless you. But most of us mere mortals, we learn by the time we're 50 that you know what, these are the things you do and that you don't do, like taking care of your health. Protecting your health, protecting your sleep. You do those every day now, right? Because if you don't, the time gets less. Wow.
Again. Goosebumps. These are goosebumps moments. Goosebump moments for me because it's something that I always talk about is like, listen, like, and we talked about this before we got on like 50 is 100% agree with you. Is that's when you're like, oh, okay, let me. You told. It's like literally the opposite. The things you used to do in your 20s and 30s and for in early 40s, probably still some people hanging on to their 20s, in their early 40s. Like when you hit 50, your, your focus and you know what you prioritize sleep and nutrition and, you know, getting rid of the alcohol and all of those things. Yes. Focusing on mental and mental health and like exploring all of the things that will help you, you know, know manage stress. Of course. Working out and walking and hiking and doing all the things getting out in nature. Like things that you would never think about, you know, again when you were younger are the things you prioritize because you realize that, man, this is what the longevity is all about. You know, this is the, the key to longevity and the key to living healthier. But you don't get to that until you're about 50 in general.
I mean, you hear all these things, you hear from. And I respect David Sinclair and Peter T. And I respect, respect all those guys completely. But they're always talking about what you can do, what you can take to live longer. Yeah. And I want to throw a different spin on it. What can you get rid of to live longer? That's really an important thing to start thinking about because what you just said there is absolutely the truth.
Yeah, let's talk about that. So what are some of the actual toxins that we overlook on a daily basis? I know you talked about air and that's something, but what are some of the things, maybe even at home that we're using today, like me, what am I using that's causing my toxin. Toxin levels to be high?
So that was kind of two questions. Let's tackle the first one first. What are the toxins in our environment that have me most concerned? How's that? Yeah, because there's, by the way, there's 144,000 toxins out there. And we're going to talk about the top five. Okay. Okay. And the top five of what they do. Number one, without a question in my mind. Absolutely. The worst one out there. We don't even know how bad it is is microplastics. What are microplastics? If you haven't been watching the news lately? Because there's an article on microplastics every other day about. We're finding it in the arteries of the people with heart disease. We're finding in guys, testicles, women's ovaries. We're literally finding it everywhere in everybody's body. It's not just like 30% of people. We've done study. We tested people on the 90 people we tested, every single person had microplastics in their body. Wow. Every single.
A lot. Quite a bit. And those you have to be worried about because microplastics are all different sizes from the size that looked like a piece of thread all the way down to, believe it or not, the size of your DNA. And those are the microplastics. You better be worried about ones that are so small they're going to go in and mess with your DNA because that's the book you never want to mess with is your DNA because you've messed with that and that becomes cancer.
So microplastics, meaning, like, give me an example. Give us a couple, couple examples.
Sure, sure. So there's a lot of microplastics out in the world. There's like polyvinyl chloride, pvc, and that's what we use for tubes that we put, you know, we saw those kind of things. There's a lot of plastics that come from bottles, plastic bottles, as they break down. Because what breaks plastic down, believe it or not, is almost nothing. Plastic is. Needs to be out in the air and exposed to the sun. That's what breaks it down. But as it breaks it down, it breaks it into smaller and smaller pieces of plastic. And that's not necessarily good either. So we have a real plastic problem in the world and we have to start looking at this because we don't. This, this plastic is the most dangerous because it messes your DNA. It causes oxidation. In other words, your body thinks it's on fire because plastic heats things up and starts these little. And causes free radicals to be developed. It acts on enzymes so that they. So microplastic works on all the areas of body you don't want it to work on.
All right, so what can you do.
To get it out of your body? Very simple. Stop drinking it. Get filtered water. Get not bottled water that you buy at the store that comes in a plastic bottle. Go buy a triple filter. Reverse osmosis. They go, Robert, we'll give you the link. People can Go to our website. We have all sorts of different products that we recommend that people do. I have no relationship with these companies except where they actually work. Okay. Because you filter your water, you stop buying food in plastic, stop wrapping it in plastic, and stop storing it in plastic. And for God's sakes, don't microwave it in plastic, because that's what gets the plastic into our food.
Okay, beautiful. Okay, number one, microplastics. Number two. What is the number two?
Number two would be glyphosate. Roundup. Monsanto, the number one herbicide in the world, is killing 74% of us in Chicago because 74% of the people we tested in Chicago had critical high levels of glyphosate. And what is glyphosate? It's an oxidizer. And when we talk about inflammation and oxidation and xenoestrogens or act like hormones, oxidation means this chemical is actually burning your tissues.
Okay, Yes. I had someone on my, on my podcast talk about glyphosate.
So glyphosate, that's the stuff that's in Roundup. That's the stuff everybody sprays on their garden. Glyphosate has already been settled for seven major class action lawsuits. There's 2100 more lawsuits waiting to come through on glyphosate. Wow.
Okay, so it is.
It is a major cause of cancer. It's a major cause of all the neurodegenerative diseases. Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, als, all of those. It is a major contributor to obesity because the body's just trying to get it out of the way. So where do you store things that are bad for you? That's out of the way. When your body can't get rid of it, it shoves it into fat cells. That's where it likes to hide it. And those fat cells then can't get opened up because don't let those out. When you talk about obesity, there is no question whatsoever that a lot of the obesity problem that we have in the the world has to do with the toxins. They're like, well, there's never been one toxin that's been proven to cause obesity. And I'm saying stop looking at things singularly. It's a multivariate world out there now. We have to look at all these various combinations of toxins on what they're doing to people. And doctors get it when you tell them this. We're taught in medical school, you know the side effects of one medicine, you probably know the side effects of two medicines. But once you go to three medicines or more, you don't even know what they do because they're so. They're varied. Now take that to 144,000 toxins, of which you have 80% of them in your body.
It's. It's going to go sideways every which way. Wow. And you don't need a lot of the toxins, you just need a little of a lot of them. Wow.
Okay, that's. That's concerning for sure. Okay, so we have microplastics, we have glyphosate. What's number three on your list?
Lead and mercury. They get tied in. You can throw an arsenic there as well. Because the World Health Organization and the part of the CDC that tells people lead, mercury and arsenic always come as one. They are very dangerous. I mean, they block the neural pathways. The fact that lead and mercury have been implicated in almost every neural brain disease, it's a major cause of, of oxidation. People always. My crp, my C reactive protein is high. That's inflammation. Nobody ever checks my oxidation. That's a test called monoperiaxidase that you can get from your doctor. And if it's high, you got some serious stuff going on. Because inflammation is just heat. Oxidation is the fire. Wow.
Okay, so lead, mercury. And when we find that in. In foods. And where else would we find that? Like, where else would.
Again, though, Robert, it's everywhere. It's in our water, it's in our food, it's in our air. I mean, you walk down the street, you're smelling. Exactly. Exhaust. They're coming at you that way. Somebody walks by with the cigarette blow, smoking your face, you're getting them that way. That's especially high in cadmium. I mean, it's just everywhere now. And people are, what can I do? And that's where I wear a mask outside just to help fill. And I say N95 to help filter some of those way, knowing I'm not getting all of them. But it's in my house that we spend most of our money and most of our time. So like I said, you can go to the website, we'll tell you what type of HEPA filters. They're not terribly expensive. They're like $1,200. You can buy all sorts of different water filters. I like aqua True. I like rain Soft. I mean, depending on how fancy you want to get. And then just the fact that buy fresh food. If you can get from the organic farmers market, get as much as you can there. Go find a butcher, buy Eggs from the lady down the street who's getting the. I mean, there's a lot of stuff you can do that really make an impactful difference. And sit in a. Get in a sauna a couple times a week, heat your body up a little bit.
Yeah, I got one right there waiting for me today.
Yeah, I do it too. I do it twice a week. Plus, when you exercise, you want to sweat. Why? Because that brings out the toxins. So there's a lot of ways that you can help yourself. But for some of the people that we start seeing now, they're doing all these things and these levels aren't coming down, or people are sick because of the toxins of them being so high. Or we got people like, I just want to get them out as quickly as I can. Well, we have answers for those now.
Okay, side note on what you just said, Paul, Anyone who owns a gym, please stop turning on the freaking air conditioning, please. Like I'm telling you right now, if I walk into that. You know who I'm talking to. If I walk into that gym one more time and the air conditioning is on, I'm. I'm literally going to turn it off.
Okay. I would. As a medical reason, I would say for medical back asset, you would be absolutely correct. If they're trying to promote the health of their people in there, you need to heat them up.
Love it.
Now, we don't want to be so high they have heat stroke and all that. But. But you got. But this thing. I have problems. I check my gym too, all the time. You walk in and it's like 68.
I know.
I'm like, guys, I need to heat up, you know?
Yeah, totally. Okay, number four. What is number four on your list?
That was number four. Glyphosate, right?
No, it was microplastics. Glyphosate, lead, mercury, arsenic, bpa.
My family, that's. That's the next one that we saw. It's just so high in people. BPA is the product that comes from plastics, especially as you heat plastics up. And it acts as all sorts of things, but mostly it acts like a hormone. And it's not the hormone you want, it's the hormone you don't want. And it messes up with all the other hormones because we don't. Our body is a very complex, high performance machine that has an onboard computer as a combustion engine, levers and pulleys, switches and dials, and everything works together. And when you start putting BPA in there, which is telling certain muscles to shrink and other things to get fat, to get bigger, and the brain to slow down. The whole machine is affected by these toxins. And when you get all these various toxins combined, you're in real trouble, as most of us are already. So BPA is number four. Number four with a hit parade.
Okay, and what is number five?
Number five would have to be okra toxin. Now, this may be one that people don't hear a lot of, but believe it or not, mold toxins are very deadly to the human. I mean, especially the alpha floxins. They're very carcinogenic, they cause cancer, and they're all over the place. And people are like, well, they've been around forever. Mold toxins, been around forever. I agree, they have. Why is it different today than it is 100 years ago? Very simply this. We, instead of living in dry caves, we now live in wet boxes. And that makes mold. Instead of eating grass and wheat right off the ground, we're throwing it into a silo and we're leaving it there for a decade where mold can come in and infiltrate. And then we're sending it out to be processed and used. Wow. So we're seeing mold toxins like we've never seen before in people. And there talk to anybody who's mold toxic and they will tell you their life is crap. Cause they don't have any energy. They just have a hard time getting through the day.
Man. This is for those of you who are listening right now. And one person sticks out to me because we had a conversation the other day that.
He'S in the phase in my over 40 Alpha brotherhood. I think he's going into phase number 10, which is the 10th month. And.
During the spring, he was having his best results during the spring nutrition, everything was in place. But you know, it was about a month ago he said to me, man, I don't know what's happening, but I'm still doing, you know, 80%. So whenever someone says 80%, I always bring it down to 70% because people's 80%'s all over, but I feel like I'm gaining more weight. Like I'm putting on more weight and I'm still getting the workouts in my nutrition's, but I'm gaining more weight. I'm. I'm still really big. And you know, a lot of times, like you just mentioned, it could literally just be looking inside of the house. What are you using?
Using?
What are you warming up your food with? You know, what is, what is the what? Water bottles. And are you using Plastics. Every single day when you're working out, you know, like, it's. It's an. Because all of these guys know the, you know, like, what to eat. They know the workouts. Like, they know that that's. They've been living it. But there's always that crew of people who still struggle. And this is a very important episode because I think that, you know, the toxins plays a massive role. I think it plays an incredibly. But even with me, even there are things that I know that from just listening to you and then looking quickly at my toxin report that's like, oh, I guarantee you, if I address some of these things right away, I will feel. Even if. Even if it's a little better, that little better is. Is, you know, magnifies, right? It magnifies.
You know, especially Robert. The guys who are overweight, right, and they're losing fat, they're dropping their fat weight. Where did I say the toxins are hiding in the fat. So when they start losing the fat weight and the body starts releasing them, they become overly acutely toxic from chronic toxins that they've stored in the fat. So that's one of the reasons where people are trying to get in shape and they hit these walls that they can't bust through, and they have to stop for a little bit and slow down. And what they're doing and they don't realize is they've released this hoard of toxins. It's running around the system, messing with it. It. The body stops gaining muscle, stops losing fat. You don't feel as strong, you don't feel as energetic for a while. But if you do things and you're still. Your body can handle these toxins over time. And then a couple months down the road, when the toxins are coming down, you can start losing weight again and then did the whole thing. Because I always tell people all the time, if you're overweight and loot and you're getting in shape and you're dropping your fat. I dropped 70 pounds. Trust me, it was tough because I hit a couple walls and it was like. Felt like bam. I mean, like, geez. And it was weeks, and things would just stabil. And people like, I'm not losing. That's right. The body doesn't want to because it has to get rid of those toxins first. It can't do the. All the pathways to get it out because it's stuck because of those toxins. Wow.
Again, you're.
You're. You're.
You're bringing the gold man, you're bringing the gold. Because a lot of guys suffer from that. I tell them, listen, you can't lose weight like that fast. Our body's very smart. Like, you know, you got to go through that time where you just got to continuously be consistent doing the same things, and you're not going to see any change. And all of a sudden, one day, boom, you look in the mirror, it's like, oh, my God, I can actually see.
I mean, this is. This is where you and I always talk about 1 pound of fat per week.
Because more than that, your body can't get hat doesn't have enough where for all to get this stuff processed out. It's trying to hide it back in the fat, which is slowing everything down again. So I tell guys all the time, I want to drop £25 in a month. No, you don't ever. You never want to do that.
Yeah, yeah, exactly. So, okay, so now we know the talks, you know, we know the big five, right? Again, you said there's 144,000, but we got the big five that. I think if we start to look deeper into our everyday life, what are we using? What are things that we're doing that are affecting our physical health, but what about mental health and our mood? Because again, you reach that age of 40 and there's a litany of physiological changes, right? The testosterone level is going down. You suffer sarcopenia, natural loss of muscle due to aging. Metabolism is pretty much down. Not really physiological. But because we're not exercising and we're not, you know, doing all those other stuff, then we have the stress that comes along with with it, right?
And your gut doesn't absorb the way it used to. It doesn't break down food the way it used to, so you're not getting the nutrients like you used to as well. I mean, everything starts counting against you as you get older. Not that you can't compensate. There are things you can do, and that's what you talk about all the time. At some point, though, your digestive acids are low, lower, or your doctor put you on an inhibitor because you had reflux, and now you can't break down any of those things like calcium. It doesn't get broken down. One of the problems with all these medicines that decrease your acid is that people get osteopenic, their bones get weaker because the calcium isn't absorbed. So it's all you gotta be aware of what you need to do and how you need to make sure you're checking all the things in Your body. It's not just about the testosterone, which is vastly important to us guys, but it's also, also, how much are you replenishing, how much are you absorbing? When you ask about your mood and your memory, your mental health, without a question, 150,000%. I'm going to back this up. These toxins are a problem to your mental health. Your brain is supposed to be in a clear, pristine fluid at a certain temperature in the middle of your head and not get banged around just like a computer. You're not going to take your computer box and shake it back and forth. That's not good for the computer. You're not going to set the computer on fire by heating it up. You're not going to dump the computer in a bunch of water, let alone toxic water, because that computer is not going to work anymore. And the brain is exactly the same way. If you want your brain to be good, has to be cool, has to be clean, and it has to be refreshed. You have to sleep. That's what refreshes the brain. Studies are clear. You sleep in six hours a night. Those people are at higher risk of getting neurodegenerative like Alzheimer's, because, believe it or not, the brain refreshes less fast. So it goes from the body first up through the stomach, finally to the brain in hour 7 and 8 is where your brain gets refreshed. So all these guys, like, I'm getting up six hours. You're not doing yourself any favors. Guys. The body needs. You need to go to bed when the sun goes down. You need to get up when the sun comes up. Works on our pineal gland, resets everything. That's what we talk about. When you hit 50, you realize this. I go to bed at 9:00'. Clock. Everybody's like, oh, you're going. And I get up at 5 o' clock and I'm at the gym at 5, 30, 30, I'm gonna get my workout done because I don't like to work out, so I'm gonna do it first thing. But, you know, you get to be 62 and now you have muscles where I used to be. Fat man. I'm gonna go every day just to keep that.
Yeah, I love it. I love it. So what are some of the. What are three immediate steps that the guys listening right now can do to start to reduce the exposure of these toxins?
Right. Same again. Because it's important that I say it again. Wash your food, get an air filter for your house, especially if you can't Afford an air filter for the entire house. Get an air filter for your bedroom. That's where you spe wintertime in the house anyway. So when you're sleeping, that stuff is fresh. And number three is get a, get a triple filtered reverse osmosis water filter. And those are, those are the three things, right? I get number four, because that's almost as important, is avoidance. Stop bringing stuff into your house, that's poison. Stop doing dry cleaning. Make sure you're. You know, it's interesting, you know, a lot of chemicals that get into our clothes, people blame. Blame on the dry cleaners, right? All those chemicals that we have up on our skin. Have you looked what's in your detector? Detergent and your fabric softener. Lately it's filled with stuff that you want, don't want to have. There is now a device called an ozone maker. That's about a thousand dollars. You put it on the back wall, the water comes in, it gets turned into ozone, and the ozone goes into your washing machine. And you wash your clothes in ozone. You need no detergent, you need no fabric softeners at all. The stuff comes out lightning clean. I mean, literally, it smells like lightning.
And what we've noticed on our. How I know if this is good is because a lot of the shirts, when we wash them, wash after wash, they start fading. They don't do that anymore because that's the chemicals in the cleaner that's making that's injuring the fabric. If it's injuring fabric, it's injuring you, Robert. So. But the ozone doesn't, because once it washes your clothes, it's neutralized. It turns back into water. Water. It's good for the environment. You keep that clean. Putting soap into their environments. Another thing we gotta stop doing, putting hand sanitizer into everything in our environment. Environment. Stop doing. There's things out there that we need to have, like bacteria that eat plastic, that get killed by soap. So there's a whole bunch of stuff. But the four things that you said, food, water, air, and avoid bringing things into the house.
What is your. Just, just a. As a side note here, because I know that there's guys listening that will jump on this right away. What is the website? Because you said your website has some of these things that, I mean have.
We have all sorts of. We have a YouTube channel, okay? That's MD Lifespan. We have a website that's MD Lifespan here. We have it behind me here, so you guys can see it. And my purpose is to deliver the message to all the guys and all the women out there, there are easy things that you can do to protect you and your home and your children. Because my concern is, what we have going on here is we, we've been bad guardians to this planet. We've polluted it terribly. And our children and our grandchildren are going to suffer the consequences because we're seeing increased maternal morbidity. Women are dying in childbirth at a higher rate in the United States than ever. Yeah. And it's a lot to do with all these toxins we have in the environment. And do I think all. Do I think autism has a lot to do with the toxins? I do. And I think we're focusing on vaccines improperly. I think we just need to look at the environment and understand that mercury wasn't in the vaccine. It's everywhere. Right. And the kids, you and I, we were born in a generation where we were born into a world that wasn't very toxic. Today, it's 250 times more toxic than ever again. 250 billion tons per year into our water supply. Yeah. These kids are being born into a world that's polluted. Who. They're growing and they're developing and that's the worst time to have toxins there because that interferes with the growth and development at least. You and I, we hit, you know, we hit 40 or so before the world got bad. Our bodies are pretty well set on this mechanism. But this is one of the reasons I'm convinced we're seeing younger people get cancer at 30 that we've never seen before. Mostly GI. I mean, because what, what is the GI exposed to? Everything.
It's what comes through us. And that's why it's not attacking muscle or other internal organs. It's getting the GI first because that's the front runner of what's keeping the toxins out, and that's the front runner of what gets exposed to the toxins. And so it makes complete sense. And then people are like, we gotta prove it. You know, we haven't been able to prove it before because we've not been able to take someone to get all the toxins out and then watch that group go forward compared to a group that's toxic. We can do that now because that's what we've done. That's what my group of international scientists and doctors have done. We came up with a process that gets every toxin out. And we're not talking about 2 or 3%. We're talking about every toxin in the double high digits, including microplastic Pesticides, phthalates, heavy metals, everything. And I spent 25 years trying to do things the hard way. This is very easy.
Okay, so let's talk about that. That's a great, great segue into, I think it's plasma exchange. Is that what this is? So what is that and how does that work and where can we get it? And get me on it right now.
Plasma change is essentially a medical process that we've had for 50 years. Curves. It's tried and true. We've treated 167 disease states with it, including long Covid. Because what it is, is an oil change, okay? We're taking out certain oils, we're putting back in new fresh oils and we keep repeatedly do that. Because if this machine is a high performance engine, and it is, it's going to need its oil change. Especially since we're running it through a toxic world. It's absorbing all those toxins. You need to get those toxins back out. Look, this is a brilliant, safe, effective and universal way to do it. It's simply, you come in, it's like a plasma donation. We put a needle in, the blood comes out, goes in, the machine spins, it separates your cells from the liquid part we call the plasma. We throw the plasma away, we put up some, just salt water with some albumin, we put all your cells back into you and the next day your body generates new, fresh, non toxic, toxic, non inflamed, non oxidized, non cancer plasma. Just like a baby's plasma the very next day. And we do that once a month for like five months. Because the first time we do it, we're really kind of exchanging about 70% of your plasma. And so the next time that's 70% of the remaining 30. So now we're up to 91 and then we're up to 96. And then we're up to 99. And by the fifth one we're up to 100. So some people need to come in for three, three because that gets them up to about 96 and that's all they needed. Other people need to come in, usually the number is five. But I do have some people who come to see me and they've been my patients for 20 years. I never got them better because I could never get the toxins out because they would react so violently to it. And we went through, they usually get eight. And these people, this one lady we had had 33% of the toxins were in her. So 33 out of 100 she had at high critical Levels by the time we were done with ate, they were all gone.
Well, so this protocol. So okay, so you have to physically go somewhere right to your MD lifespan, MD.
There are other, there are other places around the country. Okay, plasma change to not a lot of them yet. They're going to be coming up more and more popular. But we have places in Florida, we have places in Tennessee, there's places on the west coast and they do that very well. The difference is, is they do just the plasma exchange. We, my, my group has put a whole program around it. So we have an application that you get and it's walking you through everyday process. So you know how to do the testing and you know where to go and get ready to get the procedure. And it then it starts talking about how you clean up your house and how you clean up your food and how you do all these things, how you get rid of the vitamins that have toxins in it and all this, this whole process. And we have exceptional results because of all the other things we've added around the plasma chains, including a supplement. That is what you need to help engage your anti inflammatories, antioxidants. It helps to improve your energy production and it fixes the detox pathways. So we're giving all of this type of program. That's what makes our program so different than everywhere else around the world, around the United States. Right now we're in the process of building the rest of the software out. Since that's not, we're going to have clinics, we're going to partner with people all over the United States. And once we have that going on, then we can get this price down. Because that's the problem right now is it's expensive. I mean for three of the files and exchange in our programs, $25,000. For five of them, it's $35,000. Although my staff bends over backwards to make a financial program for people. So what we generally do is just half down and then you pay the rest of it off over 90 days. Just because I understand cost is a lot for all of us and a lot of us out there just can't afford to do this. I can tell you though, for certainty we've already lowered the price 30% in the last year because we've been able to increase. I'm a business guy and I built corporations in medicine space, three major corporations in medical space. So I know the bigger I get, the cheaper I can make it. Right? And I expect within two years I'm going to have this well under $15,000.
Wow. Yeah, I think that's, that's the thing about stuff like this. It always, it's always expensive at the beginning. Beginning. But like you said, as, as it expands, as it becomes more popular, more. Because it's, it's, it's, you know, something that if you want the mass to get healthy, specifically using such an incredible protocol, like, like plasma exchange. Yeah. We need to make it available for everybody. But I like how you have other things in place. Like if I can't afford it right now, you know, maybe it's our whole house, maybe it's myself, my wife, my, you know, kids or whatever. The fact that we can start doing things and stay within your community and within your environment so that as things start to decrease. Right. Or we start to save, then we can, you know, stay connected and continue to get updates on how to, you know, keep these toxins to a lower level.
Right.
Which is.
Well, I mean, and one of the things I can do for them and I know my office has already talked to you about this and they're going to give you a, provide you a list for your office audience. But we're reduced. You can buy this toxin test on our website. Just go in and click and pay for it. And she's going to drop the price by a hundred dollars. So instead of 9.95, it's 8.95 for your, for your watchers. Because the first step in knowing what you have to do is what do you got?
Yeah. So let's, let's talk about that because we, we did a toxin test and appreciate, I appreciate your team and everybody. I'll tell you right now that my experience doing this test was incredible because it was like everyone was kind of hands on. They were very helpful in the whole process, the follow up, getting the information. And so I would advise everybody to get this test because I, as you guys know, I'm a big test. I'm always the guinea pig for you guys. So if you're listening, I always the first person to do anything, you know, I put my body through whatever is to see if things work or if things are what they, you know, are, are, are proposed. And so, but we all, in order for us to get to the next level and do the right things, we have to know where we are. That's why we have to get our blood tests, we have to get our testosterone levels and we have to get the toxins. If you just learn anything today, you learn that where you think you're safe, you may not be. And when I say safe, you know, we're here to provide, protect, procreate. Right, Guys like, that's. We're put on this earth to do that. One of the things that is protect, that's not just physically protecting our families from things. It's protecting our environment and our kingdom from, you know, things around us, meaning toxins as well. And we got to protect ourselves, which means we have to get those tests done again. I don't think your doctor is going to know where to get toxin tests.
Here's an interesting tidbit. This center for Disease Control, the cdc, sent out a notion, a notice of, to all primary care physicians that they should be testing all their patients for forever chemicals, the PFAS, because 99% of Americans have it. And they want to test, have the doctor test it so they can open a conversation with everybody, say, here's your pfas, and this is how. What they can do to you. So stop eating out of pizza boxes and avoid. And their only solution is avoidance. Right? Right. But with our program, we've had 90% removal of all the PFAS. With just three treatments, we get the majority of the PFAS out. Wow.
Yeah.
I just want to provide other options and I want to share with you. I'm the same way as you are, Robert. Who was the first person through the protocol? Yo. Who's the first person hooked up to the machine? No, I mean, I'm like, oh, my God. Whether it's been all the 50 years of testosterone pellets, a new. A new program, a new way, I. If I'm not willing to do it, I'm not going to have. I will never ask somebody else or advise somebody else to do it. I'm not going to do it as well.
100. 100. So let's go through this. At least a high level of my test results. So thankfully you said that it. It's obviously there's always going to be lots of toxins, but it's not as bad as most people.
This is your. This is your results.
So for those listening right now, for those listening, I will provide you with a download of my results. Maybe, or maybe a screenshot. I don't know. We'll figure it out. But if you're watching this or listening to this, go to the YouTube. YouTube video and at about an hour in and you'll get the visual part of this. But for those of you who are watching, let's go through this.
So the first thing that people are going to see is what's called the summary page. This test tests for 110 toxins, and we're looking at heavy metals, pesticides, herbicides, phenols, phthalates, organic, volatile organic compounds, forever chemicals, mold toxins. We're looking for all of those. This is just a summary of the ones that you had at moderate high or the ones that we call critical high.
Right.
So this is a group of people that were in the. You're in the top 5% of people that we tested for these results.
Okay.
And then these results. You're in the top 25, which is not you. You're not the winner. No. By being in these categories, you want to be the loser in the fact that you don't have to any of these. So what we have here is number one on the top here. And these are not by order of severity or amount, but there's biphenyla. Yeah, there's that. That hormone, that plastic that acts like a hormone and messes everything up. It should be under 2. Okay. And you have 5.7.
Okay.
And that's in the high. That's in the 5%. You don't want to be next. You have a heavy metal called cesium. Cesium is a heavy metal. It's everywhere. It's in the air, food mileage, but it causes DNA damage, and it's radioactive, and you want to keep it under six. And you have 11.
Okay.
And then we have the aflacsins. These are the ones I told you. These are the molds that are so very dangerous to humans. That used to be very rare. We have them. But now, because this is. This. This type of mold comes in meat and dairy and tree nuts, peanuts, and things that we've stored for a long time. And this is also something that's very highly connected with liver cancer. Cancer. Okay. So you can get rid of afloxin by basically avoiding it, eating good things that haven't been processed or stored for a long period of time. But charcoal also takes this one down. Okay. Very nicely. But then you have the fumonisins, which are another type of mold. And you have all of them, B1, B2, and B3, at high critical levels. Any one of these, Robert, I don't like. Okay. Because all these Formosa sense, they are. They are oxidation stressors. That means they burn stuff, they kill cells, they suppress your immune system. The side effects of these things are things like leukopenia or your immune system suppressed bone marrow suppression.
People bleed easy, and they can't figure out why it's A lot of any one of these would do it. You have all three. And then there's another mold that's called Zen. And Zen is one of those molds that mostly comes from corn. And it also acts like bipartisan light, like a xenoestrogen telling the system to you start acting. And it's much stronger than a natural estrogen. So it's about 10 times more powerful than that. So even on women, it's pushing their system quite severely.
So the B1, B2, B3. Like what, what, what causes that? Like, what am I doing?
Probably that you're eating, you're eating cereal.
No.
Or you're in a moldy building.
Oh, It's a moldy building.
100 now mind you though, Robert, these could been in your system for decades.
Right? Okay.
Yeah. Your body may not get rid of these. Well, there are certain, certain people. When you do DNA analysis and you can look at the genes that are responsible for detox and what I tend to find in that group of women I told you were all in the 30s, all of them have problems with their detox pathways, other methylation pathways or oxidative pathways, all of their sulfonation pathways, all of those are problematic. But you know, some of these could have been in your system for incredibly long time. The government is correct. Your body will take care of these over time until it gets overloaded. Right. And then it can't. And that's where we're heading with the vast majority of people. Because as I told you, 20 years ago, not very many, 10 years ago, half the people three years ago, now everybody has toxins. It's only a matter of time before that group that's up in the 30, most of people in the lower 12 are going to shift that way because it's just worse.
Yeah, I, I think the mold makes sense because there's been a lot of water damage in, in the house here and the house next to us.
And I believe if my wife had that same, has the same test, I guarantee you those, those are going to be there.
And we see. We tend to see very similar things, especially, especially in family members. Like if you're in your son or you and your dad, when you look and then they're almost identity, they're so close because you guys have the same genes, you guys have the same exposures and you guys tend to act the same. It's unfortunate that your son is going to have worse problems because, because he's getting it when he's developing. You're already developed when you've had all these toxins. So it's not going to have that kind of. That's just an additional effect of the kids. The people at most highest risk from all these things are the adolescents and the pregnant women.
Right, right.
Because they're giving it to their unborn child. Now in the suboptimum one is the ones that are in the upper 25%. Right on the top there. You remember the old pesticide called ddt?
Yeah, of course, yeah.
Well, meet its sister dmp. It's just as bad, but the government allows it and it's an organophosphatide. What that means is that it's a pesticide. It's in our air, our food, our water, environment. But this affects your brain, your nervous system. It's a very toxic, it causes dementia. It's been linked with all of the neurodegenerative diseases. The best thing you can do is just avoid it. Somebody's using it. Near cure you.
Okay.
Or you're eating it off the food that was covered with it. So, you know, it's what I tell people all the time is just make sure that you increase your fluids. You want to take some increased sulfur containing food. So NAC is a natural supplement that has sulfate or glutathione. Yeah. Because you want to be able to supplement that. That's helped get these things out. Then underneath it is triclosan, which doesn't get enough press, but it is a horrible. I'd say if number six I'd be triclosan because what this is is a phenol, it's a type of alcohol product. But it's in all consumer products that you put on your skin. And it actually is very deadly to the kidney and the liver. And the only way you can really get it out is again avoid it. You know, I tell women all the time you need to start shifting your cosmetics to natural because the stuff that they put in the cosmetics to keep it slippery, to keep it fresh, to keep. It's deadly to, to you and long term.
Right.
And then finally you have mercury, which we all know is bad for the brain and it's been linked to everything bad there. Thallium, which I, you know, we use for people who, when you're getting a scan, like a heart scan, we use Thailand. And I always be very cautious before I send somebody for a thalium stress test because this damages the liver, the kidneys, the nervous system, it damages your DNA and again, something you really don't want to have. And there's Ochratoxin. Remember you talking about that?
Yes.
So out of the ones I mentioned, you have ochratoxin, you have mercury, you have, have bpa, and you have them, so you got a good share of them there.
Okay, but I'm, I'm. But in the, in the sub. That's suboptimal. So not, not again.
You know, the question is, though we don't know the answer. Sure is, what's the good level of any of these? For example, what is a good level of DMP for a person that's a synthetic thing that we made in the environment, never existed before? The answer would be zero.
Yeah, right, of course.
Okay. But on most of these, the answer is zero. We never had mercury where we could put it in our hands and get exposure and drink it because it was down in the earth. And the number should be zero. Lead should be zero. These numbers really ought to be zero. These numbers are only on this reference range of critical and moderate. By the definition of. We took thousands of people, we measured them, and then we took the upper 5% and said that's probably the group that's in the worst way, but that 5% may be really 18 or 20%. We don't know.
Right, okay, okay, that makes sense. That makes sense. Okay.
Now the other thing is they get on this report is then it goes into detail on every single one of them for you. It tells you the background, associated risk, and we also provide with them ways that you can get this out yourself.
Yes.
Now I always say you're always better off working with your doctor. Yeah. Especially a doctor that's does this type of stuff for a living. Because there are things that people get. I have people come in, they've been taking chelation for a long time, and then all of a sudden their magnesium's gone. I mean, it had done too much, took out too fast, too quick. Their thing is, I tell people all the time, these didn't get in fast, stop trying to get them out fast. You can't. Every time you shift these metals, these oxidative factors, they damage stuff along the way. And the faster you're shifting them, the more damage you're doing. So be cautious. Even in our program, it's a six month program right now, you come in once a month for plasma exchange, and that's four hours. And then we leave you alone for another 28 days. I have people out there like, hey, I'm gonna go do five of these in a row. Why? I mean, first off, it's not giving me Your time, your body to equilibrate so we can pull more out. Second thing is, we know the faster you move these things, the more damage they do. Hey, slow and easy wins a day. Just like your workout, right?
Yeah, definitely.
Fatigue, not force. You know, slow and easy wins a day. Everything in medicine is the same way. If you can do it slower over a period of time and you have the time to do it, that's the way you want to do it.
Amazing. This has been such an eye opener. You know, the information that you've given us has been incredible. Definitely gonna have to have you on again just. Just to. To continue this conversation, because I think it's really important, you know, for us to think about how we remove the toxins as opposed to kind of treat it, because that's what we try to do. We try to treat it as opposed to, like, removing it completely. Like, what are the steps of removing, Moving as opposed to just, like, treating. What should I take if my mercury levels are high? What should I take if this is high? As opposed to, hey, get rid of them. Get rid of the mercury. Or. Or, you know, like, get rid of these things, because that's actually going to just keep coming back up. And these detox things that people are telling you to go on, you know, that used to be a big thing in. Whenever I started to work with somebody, they'd always go, oh, I want to do a detox before I. Before I join your program. And that's just, you know, that's just a stall tactic. That's just.
As I mentioned from the beginning of the program, air, food, water and exercise. Right. Air, food, water and exercise. Those are the things you can do every day right now to start getting yourself into a better thing. Clean up the house. You can go to our website. Julie will give you the link where people can go. And it says, do these things in your house. These are not expensive. Stop doing these things. Do these things instead. Because unlike you, I never say stop. I always say change. Right?
Yeah.
Yes. That's easier to do because. And if you see me like, I drink. This is. I fill eight of these up a day.
Me too.
This is stainless steel. Yep, same thing. Stainless steel, rubber on the top. And this is. I think we. I think we got these for $12. And this is clean canteen. Yeah. I mean, I recommend a bunch of different companies, and I don't get money paid because. But they deserve to get recognized because they have a product that you should be using. Yeah. And it's not expensive. It's not terribly expensive.
Yeah.
And what we tried to do on all of our suggestions, whether it's a water filter, the air filter, or ways to clean your vegetables and fruit and where to buy them from, because we have a lot of suggestions. There's a lot of online food now that is much better than what you can get at Costco or Juul or even Whole Foods. Right? Yeah.
Invest man. Invest in your health, invest in the food, invest in the, in, in your sleep and everything else.
Before you come see me and spend a lot of money on this TPE program, you better be doing all those things for yourself too because you can start that today.
Right.
But again, on the other thing is I think the biggest thing take home from with your readers is go get the toxin test. You can buy it online. It comes to you. You have an option to sit with me for 30 minutes and go over it with you to tell you what you can do naturally at home. Happy to provide that service for people because I'm on a mission to increase the awareness for people that toxins are here. This is not a threat on the horizon. We are sitting in it today. And you need to be taking care of you, your family, your kids, your grandkids and protecting them from this. Because we have to make sure, as you said, protect procreate. What was it?
Why protect procreate? Baby, that's the three.
That means protecting our future.
Yeah.
Which is our kids.
Amazing. Thank you so much. So again, how do people find you? And again, you're giving us $100 off using a code. The code will be here in the video right now. If you're watching. The code will be in the show notes. The code will be in the email that I send out to all of you. Make sure that you use that code to get 100 off or not. Sorry. A hundred dollars.
Oh my God.
Hey, I tell you What, I do 100 off of my business. I talk to people for free all the time. That's one thing I like to do, is just introduce people like you do to good information. Because. Because this is important information. We really need to get this information.
Faster. MD lifespan and www.md lifespan. Go to YouTube, MD lifespan, Instagram, MD lifespan. You can see all of the. Because if you want videos, I think we have over 100 videos now just talking about things that you can do every day. But Robert, I love you. Keep up the good work. Keep giving out the good message to all the guys to there's just. And the women. There's so much you can do. To protect your health because you're one of the things you need to protect. Because without you, we can't change the world.
