Doctor Tibi from Body of Harmony here with my good friend and hairstylist Dani Paragi from Brighton Salon. From Brighton Salon. And we wanted to do the antibody test, the home antibody test for COVID 19 and I want to show you how it's done. It's easy. You can do it at home. We use the non dominant hand and it's a finger prick of the non dominant hand. Which finger do you want me to go for? You decide. It doesn't matter. So let's see. What I like to do is we warmed it up a little bit because that brings a lot of blood in the area. And then I also like to squeeze a little bit. Once you squeeze, you get a little bit more blood in the fingertips. And the whole point is to see if we can get it without needing to sort of do this prick multiple times. So do a good bite. Obviously you wash your hands beforehand as well. Everything really good, everything is already there. The alcohol wipes, the. This is the, the card where the blood is going to go on with the name and date of birth and everything else.
The first drop.
Do you have to let it out? No, you can, you can just get it and use it. And then what we're gonna do when.
Oh my God, I didn't feel it.
Yeah, it's just like that. And then we're gonna have to make sure that we get the blood and you see how it goes all over. It's easier when you do it yourself because you can actually see. So you see it was very easy. So far you got four are patients.
Coming into the office to have it done by you?
We can do it as well but I rather they do it at home at. And I just put a little bit extra just to make sure everything is covered and then we're done. That was as easy. And then basically the next step is name, date of collection, date of birth. And then what we need to do is all of this. Once it dries out, it's going to go back into this and then it's going to go back in the FedEx box. And then there is a, there is a label. You're going to put the label back on it and then it's going to get shipped back to the, to the laboratory. We get the results usually seven days, sometimes earlier. And then we can, we can give you the results back. How was it? Amazing. It's good. Do you have any questions? No.
So how long does the test take to get home? When people order it?
When people order it is usually the next day or Two days later that they get the test.
Now, do they have to live in California or. I can send it to my family.
We can send it to your family as well. Yes. Where is your family? Florida.
Dc, New York?
Yeah, Florida.
And they'll send it directly to the lab.
And they send it directly to the lab. And that's the whole point. The whole point is so that no one is involved in this thing, right? So that we. We don't touch anything. Everything is sterilized again. This has to go back into here. And then that goes back into here. This goes in the FedEx box and send out. This is testing for the antibody to see if you're positive with IGM and igg. IGM meaning you've had an acute infection which is happening now or has recently happened. And igg means you've had the infection in the past and now your immune system is functioning and showing that it's healthy. I'm just putting a little pressure so that there's no bleeding afterwards, although I know there is no bleeding. So those are important. Some of us, some of our patients have told us that they think they've had the. They've had Covid before as early as January and even December of last year. And I know myself personally, some of our patients who were really sick. So we're testing everyone to make sure and see who's had it in the past and so on and so forth.
