Hello, I'm Dr. Peom Hakimi. Welcome to the Body of Harmony show. In this show, we're going to talk about everything that we can do for our body to make it as healthy as possible. It's been fantastic.
So how do you like Miami, Doc?
I've enjoyed it this time. It was good to just relax a little bit for one day and starting to demolish everything and building the new office has been just amazing. Like, in a short period of time, we got so much time.
I can't wait.
Yoga is very important for the body. It's about stretching the joints, stretching the muscles and stretching all the different ligaments that are in the body. And a lot of people feel that yoga is just a stretching technique. It's not. It's a lot beyond that. We have to appreciate that most of these poses, when we recline, we put our legs above our head, we're actually squeezing the diaphragm, we're squeezing all the abdominal fascia, we're squeezing the lung and the heart and even we're squeezing the neck. So we're in essence squeezing the thyroid gland as well. So a lot of the glands in the body and a lot of the organs are getting a really nice stretch as well as a squeeze.
The lobster salad and I cannot wait to try it. All I need is some black pepper.
We are what we eat. So it's about choosing healthy food and choosing healthy ingredients. We're gonna walk over and have an amazing cooking session with Eleanor Ho, who's going to show us how to combine different ingredients together and make a wok star out of me.
You know, in Asia we say food is medicine. So are you ready to be a.
Absolutely. Let's do it.
See the whisky smoke? Yep. We're gonna add three rounds of oil and that is avocado oil. Hi, I'm wok star Elena Ho and I'm here today with Dr. Priyam Hakimi. I think I got that right. It actually sounds Japanese, but he's Persian and I love the fact that he comes from a traditional medicine background, but he now integrated integrative, functional and also a homeopathic field.
And from what I see, what you have chosen has a combination of prebiotics and probiotics.
Very interesting to talk to him because we share a lot of the same philosophies about eating hot foods because we have a hot body. I was reading about yin and yang and the whole thing is that even though we keep eating hot things in the summer, it helps us to cool down. Is that Correct.
Yeah.
So now I can include that in my cooking class and tell people, you know what you need? Hot food.
Exactly. I can't wait. Eleanor. Yeah? Do you mind?
Mmm. I love interacting with this doctor because it's all the things that I actually believe in. Easy, healthy cooking.
Thank you very much for showing this to me because this was fast and quick. I mean, in less than three minutes, less than five minutes, we actually got a food that's not processed. It's healthy. It seemed like we just got it right now from Fresh Market and amazing ingredients, and it didn't take long. Thank you very much for that. Hey, it's Dr. Hikimi. We're going to talk about the benefits of doing a good lymphatic drainage massage and what it's going to cover, what is it going to do for the body, for the immune system, and all of that. And we have Alex with us here today, who's going to do the massage and tell us more about it.
What I'm going to be performing is a very special lymphatic drainage massage that I learned in Brazil, and it's called Miracle Touch. I learned it from the queen of lymphatic drainage. Her name is Renata Franza. And right now, lymphatic drainage is all the rage in the United States. Maneuvers, too. So it's both aesthetic as well as beneficial for the immune system. For skin uniformity, there's so many different benefits.
So the lymphatic drainage is very important because the lymphatic system doesn't have its own pump. Heart is the only pump that's inside the body. So when the lymphs come out and the extra tissue that's this extracellular tissue that's there with extracellular fluid. Thank you, Alex, for this amazing. For your miracle touch. Actually, this is amazing. Every time we do our travels here by the plane, we actually need this so that we can get the fluid back.
It was good. It was awesome. I liked it. I noticed it. I told the guys from my ring.
You might get tired, you might get a little bit nauseous, your appetite might get worse or even better. Some people say their appetite actually increases, and others will say the appetite goes away. Yeah.
So can anyone get this massage?
Massage? It's amazing for every single person.
