Hello again, I'm Dr. Pelham Hakimi. I know you've asked me to give some more information about the status of Corona and everything that we know about COVID 19. And I've been listening to a lot of different webinars and different information and studies that are coming out from everywhere. And I wanted to share those with you all so that you see what do we have coming up? It seems that as of Today, which is April 7, some of the numbers, some of the death rate had gotten better in certain countries. Obviously New York got a hit again, but it was also doing good for a while. So it seemed that at least things were getting better. We know that in certain countries the numbers are falling. So it might seem that we're going in the right track. But in this video I want to tell you more about what are the things that we can do, what are the things we should do, and share some of the information that are coming out again with you. So prevention is very important, obviously, and to prevent, we talk about washing your hands multiple times during the day, washing your face multiple times during the day. And the reason I like that is because when you wash your hands and you wash your face, it's really hard to get the soap off of your face. So you really have to do this sort of rubbing thing. So not only you're getting the bacteria, the virus out of your face, you're also exposing your hands for a long period of time to soap. And we know the amount of time that your hands are sort of covered with soap is what is helping keep. Kill the germ, kill the viruses. I recommend that you take a shower as soon as you get home. What we do is we take off. I usually wear scrubs and I take them off. They go in the hamper and straight to the shower. Because how much of the virus lands on our hair and our face and our, you know, the rest of our body and we don't know it. So it's really important to do that. Brush your teeth multiple times a day. That's another way, because remember, the virus basically sort of starts here and then goes down, giving us sore throat and then later on, cough. Drink lots of warm water, hot liquids if you can. I like to add a little bit of oregano drops or oregano caps to my, to what I drink because it actually kills a lot of stuff as it's going down the throat. You can do gargle with salt water as many times as you can a day. Obviously it will help out a lot. Cough drops are very Important because as you have cough drops in your mouth, they sort of catch the virus and then they bring it down to the stomach so that it gets ruined with the stomach acid. And then if you and your partner are okay with it, or a lot of us are sort of staying sort of solo and it's really important to have something that increases our immunity as well as killing viruses and bacteria on the spot. And we know garlic and onion do that. And here's a challenge that I have with some of my patients. I cut an onion in quarters and I eat a quarter of an onion raw and then drinking lots of water over it, obviously, because it, you'll see it if you try it. You'll see it will, it will. You know, you're gonna sweat a lot and then there's gonna be runny nose water coming out of your eyes. But the important thing is all of the mucous membranes are being cleaned as well as you're actually killing the virus and the bacteria in the throat. You can do the same thing with garlic if you can. And a lot of my patients have not been able to reproduce this, but if you are, please write a comment for us and tell us what were your secret and how you did it so that other people can learn and do it, because this is really important. It was a video that I watched by a Dr. David Price, dated 322 2020. And he's a physician, is a pulmonary and critical care physician at Weill Cornell Medical center in New York, which is a 1200 bed hospital. And they've been seeing a lot of CORONA patients. I'm going to summarize everything that he said. It was a long video, it was one hour, it was very informative. If you get a chance, please watch it. I'm going to leave the link down below as well so that you can watch it for yourself. The summary is that now we understand the mode of transmission and the most important parts are always clean your hands when you touch something. So always carry something with you where you're going to. Right after you touch something, you're going to clean your hands with. It can be your Purell, it can be something that you've made. And there are a lot of videos about what to make and how to make it. And if you want, we can make those videos as well and show you how to make things and start to learn how not to touch your face. It's really hard because if you notice during the day we're either scratching our face or retouching our eyes or retouching our nose, we're touching our mouth. And that's basically where a lot of the virus that resides. Was going to get from our hands in the mucous membranes and from there to the throat and then down to the lungs. And that's where it causes a lot of the issues distant yourself. But you don't have to be afraid of the outside world. So we have to distance ourselves just to make sure if somebody else has the disease and we don't basically breathe it in because this is basically the problem with the disease, the cough, the sore throat, and the shortness of breath. And we say we don't have to be afraid of the outside world. If you have enough distance from other people, it's good to go for a walk if you can, just to get out of the house and as well as to get some fresh air and some exercise. If you're in areas where you can go out, Obviously there are certain areas that are getting curfews and we can't leave the house. The other thing is limit your social circle. If you're at home and you have an immediate family that's there with you, that should be your social circle. People should not basically have gatherings and guests coming over and block parties, as we saw couple of days ago. So those things need to go away. You need to stay with the people that we know, the core people that you know, and continually monitor one another. Make sure there's no signs. Make sure nobody has any signs or symptoms. And if they do, I'm gonna tell you what we can do. The only way you will get the disease is if your hand is dirty, infected with it, and you touch your face or you're too close to someone who has the disease or is about to have the disease. This is basically a sentence by Dr. David Price. If you develop a fever without any other symptoms, you might actually have just the flu and not necessarily the COVID But the most important thing again, is to treat yourself or a family member who's with you, who's showing symptoms as if they have. And the important again is stay home, don't go out, isolate yourself even from people who live in your house. So if you can have a bedroom and a bathroom sort of dedicated to yourself, where the doors can be closed, and then people can bring food for you and ask how you're doing and so on and so forth, and you can air it out so that, you know the viral load in the room is also less. That would be amazing. People who want to come in and out and see you or the person who's suspected of having the disease should definitely wear masks as well as gloves when they come in and out of the room. That way there will be much less transmission of the virus. And remember, the viral load is important. The amount of virus particles that goes inside dictates how severe if you're going to get the disease and how severe it's going to be. And then as you start feeling better, obviously you know you're giving yourself 14 days just to make sure. And then as you're feeling better, you can start interacting with people again. And now we're getting tests, hopefully soon, that can actually show if you've had the disease or not. The antibody tests are going to come out and we're going to have more information. There are already blood tests coming out, so saliva tests are coming out, so those tests are there. A lot of doctors are going to have it in their practices as well as the hospitals and urgent cares. And Dr. David Price was basically mentioning that if you don't have shortness of breath, if you don't feel like it's really hard for you to breathe, don't go to a hospital, because you can actually go to hospital and pick up somebody else's germs if you don't have Covid. So the only time to go to hospital is when you actually feel short of breath. The rest of the time you should be able to manage everything at home. As a lot of people who get COVID virus are not going to be as symptomatic. So only those who are severely symptomatic should go to hospital so that we can decrease the burden on hospitals and hospital staff and doctors and nurses. Who gets it? People from 0 to 14 usually don't get it. There have been rare cases. Everybody else can get it, can get the disease and end up with shortness of breath and needing hospitalization. So that's what we need to sort of focus on. We also know people who have had immune problems and diseases from the past. Their system is going to be not functional properly, so they can get the disease as well. And I'm going to give you some other information in a second. People who get it obviously become immune and they probably won't get it anymore. I believe I've had some patients who've had it before. I've had patients who might be watching this right now as well, who, who I saw in December and January and February, and they were really sick. And so I believe we've seen this in the past and now that we actually know the symptoms, we can actually see which patients had it. So if you're the part of the group that thinks you might have had it because of the severity of your shortness of breath and lung symptoms, it's good to, at a certain point, to get the test done and see if you've had it before or not. The whole point is to keep your immunity high and use as many different modalities as you can. So it's important to say, if anything happens to us, yes, we can rush to the hospital, or if anything happens to us, we can take an inhaler or we can take medication for it. But it is also very important to prevent all those things from happening. And a lot of our patients who have stayed with us and have been treated in our office, obviously, and lots of supplements and IV nutritions have kept their immunity really high. So I recommend having supplements. If you do Chinese traditional medicine from those physicians, if you do homeopathy from homeopathic physicians, if you do naturopathy, or if you see one of us functional medicine doctors or integrative medical doctors, do those, if you do IV nutrition, that should be what, what your treatment of choice should be, just to get your immunity high. It's a time for us to actually look and see this. There's a paradigm going on right now where we see medicine and medicine has been sort of almost competing with other modalities like Chinese traditional medicine, like integrative medicine, functional medicine, homeopathy. It's time for us to understand at this point that there is no competition anymore. Medicine can do its job and it does it amazingly. If people end up in hospital, end up in icu, end up on ventilators, homeopathic medications can help them there, or a supplement cannot help them there anymore. So it's important to have medicine, but it's also very important to have and use everything else that we have, like homeopathy, supplements, IV nutrition. It's really important to use all those as well so that we can get our system to a point where it doesn't. We don't need to land in the hospital. If we actively proactively care about our health, our immune system, and keep it high, you know, maybe next time around this thing comes, comes back, or if we're exposed to a new virus, at least our immune system is going to be high. So I recommend that starting from now and continuing after this, if even when this pandemic is over, to continue with keeping your immune system high and your inflammation down. And I'll tell you some more about that as well. And it's really important to appreciate also that we don't necessarily talk about nutrition. Nutrition is really important, sleep is really important in sort of keeping our immune system high. So epidemics like this have happened to us before. We had MERS, we had SARS, we had swine flu, H1N1 and all these other stuff. And we can appreciate that this thing is going to come back, something else is going to come back. And I look at myself And I say, five years from now, 10 years from now, I'm going to be 10 years older. And so I need to keep my immune system strong so that once I get there, I can actually deal with these things when something new comes out. A new study came up from Italy's National Institute of health that showed 99% of people who had died in Italy from COVID had a chronic disease, 48.5% of them had three or more chronic diseases, 25% had two chronic diseases, and 25% had at least one chronic disease. So you can appreciate this is something that has been there. And the reason I say that medicine and everything that is natural need to come together is that medicine fails us in a lot of places. We're not looking at emergency rooms and ICUs. Again, we're saving lives in certain diseases. We're saving lives, lives. But of course, medicine cannot do anything with inflammation. It can't do anything with arthritis, it cannot do anything with immune problems. As a matter of fact, a lot of the times if you go and see a rheumatologist with any abnormality, they'll give you medications that will bring down suppress your immune system. And guess who gets these viruses? People who are who have immune deficiencies. So we have to think a little bit from now on when we go to a doctor and they say, here's your anti cancer medication, here's your chemotherapy, here's a medication, here's a steroid, or here's something that will bring down your immune system. We have to think twice. Instead of using a medication to put a patch on our disease, we actually have to figure out why we have that disease and we have to out figure fix that. Okay? And that's what functional medicine, integrative medical doctors that are good around you. All over United States, we have amazing doctors who can help you. And it's important to actually use those. There is the medical treatments, obviously the hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin has shown that it's working really good. There's a new medication that's going to come up, which is a human recombinant ACE2 medication, which is called HSR ACE2 or APN01, which is basically working on ACE receptors of the lung where the virus attaches. And the whole point is to give that medication in high doses so that the virus attaches to the medication as opposed to attaching to the ACE2 receptors in the lungs. Those receptors are also in our digestive system and in our kidneys. And that's why some of the patients actually express Covid as having a sort of gi, A digestive symptomatology, like a viral illness, a diarrhea first. And then, you know, there are people who are doing research on plasma and people who are trying to deal with the vaccine. As far as homeopathy goes, Homeopathy historically has worked really good with epidemics and pandemics. Typhus. And these are from the lecture by Dr. John Golden. Amazing teacher. Typhus 1813 Homeopathy 2% deaths. Allopathy, 30% deaths. Cholera. Europe 1830-1832 Homeopathy had 7 to 10% deaths. Allopathy had 40 to 80% deaths. Cholera Cincinnati 1849 Homeopathy had 1.3% death. Allopathy had 50% death. Diphtheria. Homeopathy, 16.4% death. Allopathy, 83.6% death. Why am I telling you this? Not to compare the two. It's just so that we appreciate that we can actually use homeopathy when we need to, like these times, so we don't have to get ourselves to a severe and serious issue. So homeopathy and homeopathy, if you remember, are these little blue tubes that we use. A lot of your physicians are prescribing these things. A lot of your physicians have taken some of the course that we teach and know how to use these things. And we have a lot of different webinars. We're telling them the specific medications that are used different parts of the world that are helping a lot with COVID 19. So your physicians who practice homeopathy already know what those medications are. And. And we can also help out as well, if you have any questions. Homeopathic medications are used based on the symptomatology. So if you have symptoms of flu, we can give you homeopathic medications. If you have chest issues, cough, sore throat, we can give you homeopathic medications. There's some medications that have been showing really good in India that are used. One of the medications, homeopathic medication, is called Seneca. The other one is called Carbo. Veg. And then obviously there's a group of medications that we use. There is a group of at least 12 to 15 medications that we can actually use with COVID So again, if you get in touch with us or your physician who knows homeopathy, they can tell you what to use and how to prepare for it. These are the things that you should keep at home. I'm going to talk about some of the supplements that are, that are important. Obviously, everyone talks about these things, and I still notice that some of our patients have a little bit of a resistance to this. They think that just taking nutrition or having good food is going to cover this. No, it's not. We know that certain issues like having vitamin D deficiency and sometimes vitamin C and B complex, if you have any abnormalities of certain ingredients in your body, it's going to be hard to get it in. But even if you believe that you can get everything with nutrition, which is absolutely fine, I think for times like this, where we're going through a pandemic, something that's a little bit more serious and severe, we should probably, at least for the next month, the next two months, get our bodies strong enough. The important vitamins that you need to have are vitamin D, vitamin C, and we like it in the buffer form so it's not so acidic and you can take. Take a little bit more of it. Melatonin is very important. Magnesium is very important. Zinc is very important. Glutathione and other antioxidants like resveratrol are very important to have as well. Omega 3 fatty acids are important. And then everything that goes to the guts, because remember, our guts is our core. So we need to have a good probiotic and a good prebiotic as well. We know melatonin helps. Really good. Some people are also adding iodine to their supplement list. And if you are lacking iodine, it would be really good to have iodine as well. There's a test for it. And again, if you write us comments, if you have any questions, I can tell you all that as well. One of the important things is stomach acid. So having digestive enzymes are really important. And the reason for that is when the virus lands in the mouth, it will eventually go to the throat, and then from there it's going to end up in the lungs. I'm going to show you ways of trapping the virus and bringing it down into your stomach. And once it comes to the stomach naturally, the stomach acid is going to degenerate, degrade the virus, coating the envelope so that you can actually kill the virus. But it would be good to to again during these times have a little bit more stomach acid. So if you have a good digestive enzyme, it would be good to use it now so that you can actually get this done properly. We know that vitamin C is very important. Vitamin C has helped us with epidemics in the past with SARS, with MERS. It's been used in ICUs and ERS with good effects. IV Nutrition. How we give IV vitamin C to people with high doses, it seems that other people are using it. It's been used in Italy, it's been used in other countries. And it shows that using high dose vitamin C, IV or oral is going to be really good with increasing your immune system as well as it seems that it kills the viruses as well. So vitamin C we have in IV form, we can give it to you, obviously with, you know, certain IV combinations that we make. Again, a lot of physicians have been trained in using IV nutrition with our practice. And that's something that we can do as well as well as in the oral form. And in the oral form, we like the buffered form because it's not acidic. It also comes in the powder form where you pour and stir and drink. That's really good as well because it starts killing the viruses in the mouth and the throat as well as the liposomal form. All of those forms are amazing. And if you can combine all of them together, you probably will have a better chance of killing the virus and keeping it at bay as well. Some of the hospitals in the United States have started using vitamin C with IV therapy, and it seems to be promising so far. Some of the physicians talk about ozone therapy and how it's been helping out a lot as well. So those are the things that you can look at as far as food is concerned. Obviously, fruits, vegetables, plant foods. Protein is really important now. So those of you who are vegetarian and vegan, make sure that you have a good protein source because those are really important for the body, not only to have enough amino acids, but also to make hormones properly. And growth hormone is one of the hormones that we need. And it's important to have enough protein. Grains are important things that are fermented and have probiotics like yogurt and sauerkraut and all that. Those are amazing and very important as well. Just to keep your GI system properly. It's important to understand that we want to take care of ourselves and because, number one, we don't want to give it to somebody else. Number two, we want to really decrease the burden of hospitals because they're being bombarded by a lot of people. So stay home, wash your hands, don't touch your face, take care of yourself, increase your immunity as much as you can and decrease your inflammation with all the supplements we've talked about. As much as you can. Appreciate that social distancing might be a way of life for us from now on. And maybe, you know, we only get close to people that we know in certain places and certain cases and we always try to be as clean as we can for everybody else as well. The other thing is, I know we've been going through this for a while and some of us might get a little bit sloppy and a little bit tired of the mask and the gloves and all that other stuff. Make sure you don't get sloppy. This is a really important time because this is the time that if we don't do things properly, we can catch the disease. So stay strong with your plan. Gloves, always. Face masks, always. And these are because we just wearing those makes you not touch your face so much and not get things as much Optimize your own health as I talked about it. Know that we're here for you if you have any questions. We can always respond to your questions. We can always respond to your and come up with a specific solution for any issue that you have. You can get in touch with us through infooodyofharmony.com or you can call us at through 310-285-9914 or you can get in touch with us through our website. There are links that will get you to get in touch with us. We are here to help you for your medications, homeopathics, supplements, IVs or anything that you need. Also to take note that there are a lot of tests that can be done at home. You don't necessarily need to see a doctor in the office as much. Certain things you still need to do a blood draw, but there are a of tests that can be done at home so we can actually manage you at home so that you don't have to leave the house and sort of get exposed to anything else. There are other stuff that I'm going to talk about in other videos. I think this one is a little long and I thank you very much for staying with me all this time. I'm going to talk about other stuff like anxiety, like other peptides, thymosine alpha and everything else in our other videos. I just want to take a 10 second silence for people who we have lost during these times. And I know these numbers are going up, but it's really important for us to also decrease the anxiety. Make sure we're sleeping properly, make sure we're staying healthy. And if you get a chance, from time to time, turn off your social media, turn off your news, and at least don't listen to all the bad news that's coming out for a good 24 hours. I'm not saying stay away from all news, but it's good to not concentrate on these things, because eventually, remember, having stress and having worry. The first thing it does is it decreases our immune system. And that's the important part of our organs, our physiology right now is our immune system. We're going to do more videos. If you have any questions or comments, please leave them for us so that we can respond to you.
