How To Sell On Twitter With Their NEW Shopping Feature in 2023!

A HubSpot YouTube video (hosted by Remy) explaining Twitter's new shopping feature rollout and how businesses can prepare. It summarizes the feature (shop buttons on profiles showing product name, price, and a shop button linking to landing pages), recommends pre-launch strategies (ask followers, collect product-interest data, post before/after photos and reviews, build analytics/ads knowledge), and encourages building a broader social strategy rather than relying solely on the feature.

Twitter is coming out with a new shopping feature. Could this be the next best thing for your business? Stick around until the end, because in this video I'm going to break it all down for you. Hey everyone, It's Remy from HubSpot. Welcome back to the channel. So earlier this year, Twitter decided that it wants in on the social commerce fund. So, like Instagram and Facebook, Twitter wants to now also allow its users to easily shop through their platform. They slowly rolled out this feature to a handful of brands in the US So you might have noticed that some brands now have shop buttons on their profile. As businesses showcase their products and tweets, customers will be able to see the product's name, the shop name, the product price, and the shop button that they can click on, which will then redirect them to the landing page to purchase. Now, they haven't announced yet when this feature will be rolled out for everyone to use, but I want to give you guys the tools that you need to prepare so that you're ready to go once this happens. First things first, if you aren't too sure how to go about using Twitter for business, then you're in luck because I have a free guide all about how to use Twitter for business and turn those followers into paying customers. This guide will be super helpful because it's going to teach you how to navigate your Twitter analytics and everything that you need to know on the back end of your business account in order to set it up for success. You'll get a better understanding of how Twitter ads work, how Twitter impressions work, engagement rates, all that good stuff. So make sure to download it. I'll have the link to it in the description box below. So let's talk about how you can prepare your account and your followers for when the new shopping feature arrives. Let's say that you're a hair care brand and you want to sell your hair products. Once you get access to this feature, you'll first want to get a better understanding of what your followers want to see or buy from you. And the best way to do that is by asking questions, asking them things like what their current hair routine looks like, what are they using to fight frizz, or what are they using to help promote new hair growth? From there, you can start showing off your brand's products and how they are the answer to all of those questions. After you get some responses from your followers, you can post before and after photos, reviews, or the science behind why your products will be so effective in helping them achieve the hair of their dreams by Using this marketing technique, you're not only teaching your followers more about you and your brand, but you're also learning more about how you can better serve them. Once you've gathered this data from them, you'll have a better understanding of what products to promote first Once the shopping feature becomes available Twitter has over 211 million global users, so this shopping button will definitely be a hit. So the time to prepare is now. This shopping feature should not be what you heavily depend on to make sales, but since everyone will be using it when it comes, you can use this time to build out a strategy experiment, engage and grow your following. If you want to learn how to build out a successful social media strategy, then make sure to check out this video right up here. A Twitter blog post released back in July stated, we are in very early explorations. We're excited about the potential of shopping on Twitter and eager to learn more as we go. This lets us know that for now, Twitter is still testing out this feature via the few brands that have access to it to see how people respond to it. Since this feature will be available to use in organic tweets and not just ads, you can expect to see everyone taking advantage of it, no matter the size of their business. By adding this shop button to their platform, Twitter will potentially be helping brands drive more clicks to their websites, and I think it'll be a great addition to their platform. Since it's basically the last app to add a shopping feature like this. If they decide to roll it out to the public, my guess is it'll be here sooner than we think, Most likely in 2022. Do you plan on using this new feature for your business once it becomes available? Let us know down below in the comments below. I really hope you guys found this video helpful. Thank you so much for watching and we'll see you next time. Bye.
