Short transcript from the YouTube video "HubSpot Is Growing With Pride" (uploaded June 21, 2021 by Patrick Biddiscombe). Two speakers provide testimonials about HubSpot's LGBTQ+ inclusive culture: encouraging employees to bring their full selves to work, creating an open community of queer employees, influencing external companies (an attendee in Mexico), and making employees feel accepted.

I love the concept behind Growing with Pride. It's incredibly empowering to have a company just bringing that slogan up in front. I feel like HubSpot not only puts it as a slogan, but truly lives the values of it.
The fact that we can be so open at HubSpot, right? Like, you feel like that should be the case everywhere, and it should be, but that's not always the case.
You can find yourself maybe asking if it's safe to be yourself. Is it going to be okay working at Hotspot? Even before you can ask yourself if it's safe? They tell you first they want you to bring your own self to work. They want you to be you.
If you didn't experience that openness always in other places. The fact that you now have it, you know, at work, where you spend. We spend a lot of our lives at work, so it really impacted me and it kind of allowed me to be a little bit more open everywhere I go, even with family.
So one of my most treasured memories is going to this city in Mexico for HubSpot event. We talk about software, we talk about marketing, we talk about all this stuff. But then somebody came and said to me, you know, I really admire HubSpot because of all the LGBT friendly things that you guys post. That message helps me bring this to my boss here in my company in Mexico. And because of that, now we're trying to emulate you guys.
So there is this really nice group of out queer hubspotters that kind of help build that community. Right? And so it's really nice to see that it's not just you, it's not just two other people, you know, but there's a big, big kind of open community there, which is awesome.
I just love that. I just love to see that on my team. I just love to see that in the other departments, in the culture itself and how Hotspot is vocal about it. Yeah. Makes me feel accepted. It makes me feel that I can touch, really. So at the end, I guess I just gotta say thank you, hotsp, for being so cool.
