Welcome to another monthly product update video from HubSpot. I'm Mark and I'm here to show you the latest and greatest updates from HubSpot this month. There's tons of great new features to check out, so let's jump right in. First up is the home for marketers. If you're a marketer and you log into HubSpot and ask yourself, what should I be doing today? Don't worry, HubSpot's totally got you covered. The new home for marketers is a personalized and centralized place inside HubSpot that connects all your marketing efforts in one place. Here to show you how it works is my good friend Kyle Jepsen.
So here I am on the new marketing home screen. This is under marketing. If you select home, you'll see this page and it's customized for you. It's going to greet you at the top and then you're going to see things you've recently worked on. You can see this workflow. I've worked on a site page, different forms and even emails. Whatever you've been working on recently are all listed up here at the top. Over here on the left, you'll see things that need attention. There are some approvals waiting for me. There are workflows that need review. You can click on these to go look at those. You can see what's coming on your calendar. You can see a list of approvals here. If you have any tasks that are due, you can access them here.
Next, we have some updates for billing for subscriptions. So for a while now you've been able to create recurring subscriptions right inside HubSpot and then charge your customers and clients on a recurring basis. Now you can actually create recurring invoices and set them to automatically send out at the first of the month or whatever date you want. Show them how it works, Kyle.
So here I am on a close one deal that has some recurring charges on it. And what we're going to do do is come to either the subscription or invoices section and under add you can convert the deal to a subscription. So the deal opens up, the contact is automatically pulled in. We can see and adjust the line items and the totals if we need to adjust when the payments are due. There are lots of different options here, but we can go ahead. The simplest thing to do is just click create and we can go ahead and send this invoice automatically to this customer. This is a huge update for those of you who bill via invoices. It'll now automatically send on each day that a payment is due.
Okay, next up, we have an update for form fields. Form fields now obey CRM validation rules set up for their underlying properties.
So here's a custom property I've created. I call it Validated Number. It has a rule that limits the number of decimal places to two, so it will not accept any number that has more than two decimal places. Over here on the form, if I try to enter a number that has more than that many decimal places, I'm going to get an error encouraging me to put a valid number in and.
Our final update this month is for you app developers out there. If you're using Slack to provide updates on your app to clients and customers, you can now attach links and attachments right inside of Slack, giving you a better user experience and conveying information to your customers in the best way possible. That's all we have for this month on your HubSpot monthly product roundup. We'll see you next month. Don't forget to subscribe and check out the links in the description below to learn more. I'm Mark from HubSpot. Thanks for watching.
