Alright, look, we need to talk about PowerPoint presentations for a second. We've all sat or slept through our share of hard to understand slides overloaded with bullet points, generic clip art and confusing data. However, PowerPoint has released some powerful updates that you may not be aware of, which can be a real game changer when working on your next presentation. What's up? It's Jamal from HubSpot and welcome back to the channel. PowerPoint is a fantastic tool for making visual content, however, getting good results can be a time consuming process. In this video, I'm going to walk you through four exciting new features to help you create great looking and engaging PowerPoint presentations without the extra time and frustration. And to do that, I've made a PowerPoint to help make the most of this presentation, you're going to want to download our free presenter's guide to nailing your next PowerPoint. You can find the link in the description below. Now let me ask you this. Have you ever poured all of your energy into writing a compelling and spot on sales pitch, but dreaded the next step of turning it into a slide deck? Well, you can save hours of work and easily transform that existing Word document into a great PowerPoint presentation using the export to PowerPoint command. Here's how it works. Open your document in Word for the web. Make sure that it contains only text. The heading in the document will become the slide headings in the presentation. Go to File Export export to PowerPoint presentation in the Export to Presentation window, choose a design theme for your presentation, then select export. Now let PowerPoint's designer AI take it from there. After the transformation is complete, select Open Presentation to review your results. When you use export to PowerPoint, Word will create a presentation based on all the summarized sections of your Word doc. It also uses AI to add imagery, icons, videos, themes, and fonts for the design you chose. These suggestions are all editable from within PowerPoint. If it's not quite right, just swap out this icon, adjust the text, change the color to Time and resource savings on this feature are invaluable. You can still benefit from this time. Saving tech even when starting from scratch without a Word doc, go to a new browser window window and type in PowerPoint new to create a new presentation. PowerPoint's designer AI features will recognize the topic of your title slide and recommend design themes and imagery for your presentation based on your title. It's getting pretty good, all right, so let's go ahead and choose this one. It costs time and effort to adjust and position all the various elements on your slides to create the perfect visual balance. With autofix, you can automatically align, uniformly, resize, straighten and distribute elements in one step. Just select two or more objects and either right click or go to Shape Arrange autofix. Boom. This feature is pretty spot on when working with icons, shapes and images. However, don't try this with SmartArt or overlapping images. AI still has its limitations. It can't do everything for you, you know what I'm saying? All right, presentation time is approaching and your slideshow is looking pretty dang good. If you're like most people, presenting in front of an audience often induces fear. Yet speaking in front of a crowd is a necessary skill to make a pitch, present an idea, or to close a deal. And PowerPoint's present can provide you with valuable tips, tools and feedback so you can prepare in private to give a more effective presentation. Presenter Coach has been around for a while, but it keeps getting better. Recent updates in the web version have enabled it to recognize and critique body language using your webcam. Go to Slideshow Rehearse with Coach select get started in the lower right when you're ready to begin rehearsing. You'll see here that PowerPoint's AI coach is now listening and providing real time guidance on my pacing and if I'm using filler words, inclusive language and reading the slide text. Once done, exit full screen View to receive a dashboard summary with analytics on your timing, eye contact, mannerisms and other ways to improve. The more you refine this important final step, the better connection you will have with your audience and the more comfortable you'll feel doing it. And now my favorite feature, cameo integration in PowerPoint Live. This feature works directly within teams, so you can join a meeting and insert a live video feed directly into your slides and to become an integrated part of your presentation. Like this. To test the Cameo feature ahead of your presentation, you'll want to create a placeholder, select Insert Cameo and go to the preview icon in the placeholder to turn on the camera feed. This behaves like any object in PowerPoint, and I can apply the same effects to my camera as I can to a picture or shape, including formatting, transitions and styles. You can also copy and paste your camera feed onto different slides and adjust placement and and size to fit the layout. Even the transitions are seamless. Choose Activate Morph for a nice smooth effect from one slide to the next, like this. And there you have it. While these PowerPoint productivity tools are a smart way to get your point across without putting your audience to sleep, sometimes there's no substitute for a template designed by a professional. That's why HubSpot has created 10 free PowerPoint templates to make building and editing your presentations easy and effortless. There you'll find templates for title slides, data slides, instructions on making better presentations, and more. You can download it from the video description below. And while you're down there, I don't know, maybe consider, you know, liking the video subscribing to the channel. You know, ring that notification bell if you're if you're feeling up to it. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to put myself back in the Cameo feature and try to see how many different presentations I can just appear in. Until then, I'll see you next time I can find this client Info have.
