Revenue Operations at New Breed

New Breed's revenue operations team walks through their HubSpot consulting practice: implementations, migrations, integrations across siloed data, lead scoring, and custom reporting. They stress a three-part approach of people, process, and platform, plus heavy documentation and training to help clients hit revenue goals.

We are strategic consultants. It's really understanding our clients from a completely holistic point of view to really optimize what we're doing to run their revenue engine. We consider ourselves the best at what we do in terms of understanding the HubSpot platform, how to configure it and how to operationally get the most out of that. But secondarily, we recognize the value of technology. If there's things the platform can't do, our attitude is let's build it depending.
On where a client is actually entering in terms of their lifecycle. With HubSpot, we assist with all types of setups. So the first being migrations. People aren't on the platform yet, but they need to be. We call that HubSpot implementation where we're taking data that you have in one system, we're identifying where it looks like we are, then recreating it and then making it go live through the different automations that are available to us. We have a system called Inbound Readiness. We're using systems like Master Form, Strategy, Life Cycle, Stage Automation, Lead Scoring, Persona Mapping, all those tying together to tell us what's quality, what's working with our tactics. And then of course we also complete integrations depending on what systems need to speak to each other. What we do for clients is we customize things to them. A lot of the times they'll come to us with a problem. We want to have close one notifications. We're not sure that sales reps are actually following up with things and we're able to identify are there settings in your portal that we could be using? Are there different products that we can use or is this a custom automation? So we custom build that for a client depending on their needs and their questions.
There is a lot of emphasis on kind of managing the tech stack, implementing changes to the software. But really there are several elements. There's people, process and platform. If we're making changes to a CRM system or incorporating integrations, that's the platform piece. But there needs to be sometimes adjustment to process and training of the people that will be involved in using sales and marketing engine that we're setting up. With every rollout we do of a project or implementation, documentation is an important thing. Working with the various stakeholders to understand their needs out of a project as well as what their benefits will be. I think there's a fair mix of hearing the business needs of the client, but also incorporating our own input about best practices.
Everybody understands that data is important, but if your data is siloed in six different places and you don't really have a way to access or understand that data. It's not so helpful. So we can connect all of those and operate on that data in a useful way.
There's a lot of great out of the box reports in HubSpot, but like any reporting, we're going to need to create some custom aspects to that, which may require just a simple property, but oftentimes workflows behind the scenes that are going to help inform what that property should be set. So there's definitely a level of customization that's required for any reporting, and given what your specific goal is, we're going to make sure that we can define a path to be able to measure that and report on that.
I put a very heavy emphasis on customer service and customer experience. That comes in the form of partnering and communication and feeling like someone really does understand what your goals are and cares about them.
We're not only playing the role of the new Breed Revops team, but a lot of us have sat in the chair on the other side and understand the importance of you being able to hit your business goals. And at the end of the day, powering that revenue engine and allowing you to meet those business goals is really our first priority.
