My parents always had a sense of.
Civic responsibility and public service.
My dad for many years was a fireman. My mom was a counselor. She was a counselor at the Salvation Army. And so they've always had this sense of community, and so they instilled that within us. But kind of when I think of those inflection points, I remember I was.
Very studious growing up, but, you know.
Everyone doesn't want to do their homework sometimes. And I remember my mom talking to.
Me and saying, mandy, this is up to you.
You know, I have built my life.
You have to determine what type of life you want to build. And she was like, if you don't want to do your homework, that's fine, don't do it.

When I think about the decision to leave the law firm, right, it was that same voice of, is this the life I want?
You know, where I was, I think I was pretty good at my job, you know, and I didn't hate it.
But I didn't love it.
And I wanted to wake up where.
I was doing something every day that I loved. The fact that I get to do.
Something, even though it's very hard, but.
I'm pursuing my passion, I'm doing something that I absolutely love, and I get so much meaning from, I feel like is the best thing in the world.
