It's already hard enough to talk to someone you don't know in real life, but sending an email to someone you don't know can feel a little uncomfortable. Although it might feel like it doesn't make a difference. Companies that use craft cold emails can see an increase of 15 to 20% in response rates. So tip number one for getting a response to your cold email is having a catchy and informative subject line. Writing reaching out to you or opportunity just for you isn't really personalized and it can feel a little bit like spam. You want to be direct while only using a couple of words. Instead of writing opportunity for you, go with something that directly talks to the person that you're reaching out to. Something like Remy, get help with your cold emails would make me want to respond a lot more. Moving on to tip number two, be specific. We deal with so much information every day, and a cold email that doesn't introduce who you are, what you're offering, or the best way for someone to reach you won't get the response that you're looking for. Instead, focus your email on exactly why you're reaching out. If someone wanted to teach me about cold emails saying write the cold emails of your dreams, that's nice and all, but it doesn't really tell me how to do it or what they're asking of me, saying you can improve your email response rate by 15 to 20%. Now that's an email I can see myself responding to. Okay, number three might sound a little simple, but make sure it sounds like it's written by a human. We can all get caught up in the sales talk and Forget that we're just a regular person talking to other people. A good test is to read the email out loud and see how it sounds. Making people feel like actual people and not numbers means they're more likely to respond. So yes, our goal is to get people to respond, but it's also very important to build trust with Those people too. Our email is clear in what we're trying to communicate, and it sounds like it's coming from a human. Now we can move to tip number four, which is the pain point. A pain point is something that the person you're reaching out to is struggling with. This means that you'll have to understand what the person does and what they're struggling with. Mentioning their pain point makes a connection that they will want to follow up on for. For example, if someone sent me a cold email about upping my email game saying it's hard to write cold emails, that subject line wouldn't exactly get me there. But if in the body of the email, they talk about how low response rates can be frustrating and how it can feel like you're not getting any responses, I'd be more likely to read on because I'd feel like they understand me and the struggle that I'm trying to overcome with cold emails. And finally, tip five is to be confident in yourself and what you're offering. When talking to someone for the first time, you want to be positive, confident, and know what you're talking about. This is hopefully the beginning of even more communication, so starting in a strong way will set you up for success. What you have to offer is worthwhile, so make sure to be clear about that in the body of your email to help increase those response rates. So that's five tips for Sending cold emails.
