Domino's is not only fixing the hunger, they're also fixing roads after increased complaints about pizza being delivered in sloppy conditions, the company did some research and discovered that pizza driven over roads in poor condition lend themselves to being damaged before they can be eaten. That's when they came up with a plan. It's called Paving for Pizza. Domino's would allow customers to nominate their city to receive a grant to cover materials and the work needed to fill that city's potholes. In addition, they'd give them a stencil to paint on the pothole when completed and encourage them to take and post pictures. In its first week of launch, PavingForPizza generated 35,000 organic mentions on social media within two months, more than a billion media impressions and 135,000 nominations from 15,000 zip codes. To date, they fixed over 2,000 potholes and served all 50 states. By focusing on solving a notorious pain point, they ended up gaining customers, boosting sales, increasing brand awareness, and positively affecting city infrastructure. Like what you heard?
