Perry Norman argues Viego's traditional Kraken Slayer build is wrong. His Q and ultimate scale with critical strike chance, so you need Hail of Blades, Collector, Shieldbow, and Infinity Edge to one-shot enemies instead.
Stop taking Kraken and Conqueror on Viego. It's a complete bait. Instead, take Hail of Blades into Collector, Shieldbow, and then IE as your 3 core items. Viego has a specific mechanic with crit where his Q and ultimate get more damage based off of crit, and he also gets a bonus from that Infinity Edge. So you want to get Infinity Edge as fast as you possibly can. Let's also think logically here. Viego is an assassin one-shot kind of reset champion. Hail of Blades and crit just do the job way better than Conqueror and Kraken. Conqueror is usually stronger when you're trying to deal with bruisers or when you're trying to be that bruiser. And Kraken Slayer is also good against, you know, extended kind of trades, extended kind of fights, so you can maximize the passive that you get from Kraken. Hail of Blades and this full IE one-shot build, on the other hand, is just dealing the most amount of damage as fast as you can, get that reset, and then maybe pop off in the fight afterwards. You can also go for an LDR or a Mortal Reminder as your second item. It does not have to be shield though, and that way you're maximizing your armor pen and crit chance, and there's literally nothing that they can do or build to make it hard for you to one-shot them. Please guys, when playing Viego, do the right thing. Take the proper build where you are one-shotting people. You will be so much stronger in your games. All right guys, follow for more Viego tips.
