LEARN How To Play with Your WIN CONDITION

Perry Norman shows how to climb in League of Legends by ignoring losing lanes and funneling resources to whoever is ahead. He uses the TAB overlay to track level, item, and ultimate advantages in real time, then builds around the fed teammate as a secondary win condition. Muting chat and respecting gold value before fighting keeps the momentum going.

When your bot lane gets stomped, your instinct is generally to save them. That is usually why people are hardstuck in lower elos. Players who climb do the exact opposite. They abandon the losing lane and they focus every single bit of the resources into the winning lane. This game, no matter what happens, watch me pick my winning laner in the early game and refuse to play through my inting laner. Okay, count with me every single time that I want to save a losing laner and then I actually choose to not play with them. It's going to be many, many, many, many times this game, and I'm— and you guys will also see how I actually properly choose the winning lane that I want to play towards. Okay, so a lot of playing towards winning lane, a lot of the concept comes from using tab and getting information. So you guys will see a lot of me getting information around the map. Okay, we are off to a, a start where bot lane's already lost. They've already died in the bot side. So what that means to me is we're not playing through bot lane at all. I'm also going to keep chat on here and I'm gonna keep pings on and you guys will see what kind of crazy shit my teammates are going to say or type. Who knows? But my hope is to show you guys that you should immediately mute your teammates who type like crazy and who ping like crazy. I'm not going to this game just to show you guys what you are missing out on technically. So in the early game, what I'm looking to do is I'm looking to hold tab. I'm looking to see who's strong, who's weak. My top laner might be down some CS, but top lane's hard winning trades. My bot lane is already losing, obviously, and my mid lane is doing like okay. So we have an okay mid, okay top, and a bot lane who is something we don't want to play through at all. Let's grab our full clear all the way and let's look at mid. So mid has like less mana. Yeah, mid's actually not going too great. Bot's not going to— God, it's going okay. It's like some CS. So pretty much what I'm thinking of is where do I want to play towards? Bot crab is something I want to look to do. We have general bot priority, so we can look for this crab. My Taliyah is going to recall. Okay, so this bot crab is lookable because we have some bot control and we have mid control. Xerath is less than half HP. So yeah, let's look to one-shot this crab. And we don't want to take any crazy fights in the bot side. Okay, we want to make sure we don't fight down here because we don't like what was happening earlier. If Lillia is not in the bot crab, she's probably on the top crab. So let's danger ping a little bit in the top side and let's go ahead and— oh, Lillia's in the bot side. Okay, that's 2 crabs for us then. That's completely fine. And my Zilean is flaming the Ezreal already. So Lillia is spotted down there. We're going to take our advantage here, grab the second crab. Like it's nothing. And then we're going to look to recall and then go back to our top camps and have a disciplined clear all the way top towards the bot side. I'm going to look to ward here. I'm going to go ahead and I'm going to buy myself, uh, Trinity Force components, which will generally comprise of just this. And we're going to go clear top down. We see Lillia. Maybe Lillia is actually trying to invade my camp here. Um, careful. Many have lost. Okay, my Camille is doing beautiful trades right now. Beautiful. I could eat, but I— okay, we got our flash at least. I think I'm on a ward there. Okay, that's Lilia's flash again. Play through our top laner. As you guys can see, playing through the top is going to give us the best outcomes in this game. Now Lillia is show top lane and she might want to full clear towards the bot side. During her full clear down towards the bot side, we might be able to invade her Raptor camp because she's low. Unless she, uh, doesn't— I don't know, maybe if she just clears her camps right away, I won't be able to kill her. So mid looks good. Yep, so we have a winning mid lane, so play through mid already, that's what we know. And bot lane, stay away from bot. What I could do is maybe try to play for her Raptor camp because we chunker in the top side. But what I'm going to do actually is I'm just going to play a disciplined game where I look to farm all my camps and then maybe make plays to the top side or mid lane after my full clear. Okay, so we have a winning lane identified already. It's going to be mid lane and maybe top lane, even though top lane's down a little bit of CS. My top lane is human and we're going to stay away from this Ezreal. We already have our game plan already here. So I— maybe there's like a bot play for me to make. Maybe there's a dragon. Like, I want this dragon, right? But my bot lane is losing. The conditions look really bad. We have to go to the lane that is going to give us more opportunity in this game, which is simply our mid lane here. Mid lane is going to give us way more access here, and even this bot crab could be a little hard to play for. Let's get the slow down here. Even if I can't kill her, that's fine. Uh, I can't kill him. That's a huge chunk. My Taliyah is fucking crazy. Mental. That's okay, we got a full wave here. I don't know what the fuck you want me to do. Um, I have a leveled up Smite, so with that in mind, I might be able to grab this crab because Lilia— Lilia hasn't even recalled yet. Stormy skies make for stronger winds. Okay, remember, we, we, we do want to be careful. We do have a leveled up Smite though, so what we can do is we can look to one-shot this crab, and then with our level 6 advantage, we could technically fight in the bot side because we have level 6 advantage over here. So we're simply playing through one condition here, which is our level 6 advantage. Even though we're in the bot side and we're fighting down here where it's fucking awful, we have our level 6 advantage. So it's really easy for us to actually win a fight even though we are playing with our losing laner. So never say never to your losing laner, but only go to play with your losing laner if it's like 1000% guaranteed helpful for you in this game. Before I recall, I look at the shop to see how much gold I need for my Trinity Force, and now I can buy a Triforce. The game is the same. Okay, don't let this confuse you. I do not want to play with my Ezreal. Don't let this confuse you. My winning lane is still mid and kind of top, and actually it's really just me, right? So although we just did something good, a lot of people would fall into this trick of like, oh, my bot lane is doing good now, I can make plays with them. No. I found a nice window because the enemy was down conditions. I has level 6 advantage. But now in this game state, we are still the only ones who are strong and we do not fight until we have our ultimates. So a lot of people fall into the trap here of making plays with their bot lane because we just won the bot side. Don't fall into the trick. Okay. It's a complete, complete trap. Top lane's also losing. So it looks like we have no winning lane just yet. Right. But what I'm going to think about here is although we don't have a lane that we want to play through, there is two teammates who we can work around that give us a lot of setup. So the two teammates that give us a lot of setup this game are going to be Camille and Zilean. Taliyah is some setup that we can work around, but not as much given what we just saw earlier and how she's tilting. We don't want to play around Taliyah. We could play around our Camille and maybe around our Zilean. So in the meantime, what we're going to do is we're going to full clear towards the bot side, and we're going to use our level 6 advantage, uh, or, or item advantage, I should say, to look for plays around the map. Now we see Lillia run towards the top side. That's a big blunder by her. Okay, so what I'm going to do now is I'm going to look to invade her entire bot side and maybe even kill their bot lane because their bot lane is by themselves and I have my level 6 and we know that Senna used flash earlier. So I could come bot lane here. I could on the way ping, go down there and I could go ping, ping, ping. Yep, we have this. I can go ult through. And that's a kill for my teammates. And whether we get this kill or not, I'm not gonna bother with it because I want to go do the, um, the Dragon here potentially. Okay, I could have maybe hit him. That's okay. We want this Drake now. I don't have my Smite, but it's not the end of the world because my Q does like 250 damage. So as long as we get our Q off at the end here Bang, we can finish it. Okay, so we're playing through a numbers advantage in the bot side. So all these small conditions allow me to still play with my losing teammate. If I ever see a 3v3 in the bot side, I will not make a play in the bot side. If there's ever a 3v3, no play. If it's a 2v2, it's a 3v2, sure. If we have advantage, sure. But unless there's a very clear advantage, I am not looking for shit in the bot side. Now what we want to do is buy defensive stats. We're going to go for a Shojin and a Merc Treads this game. CC, CC, and CC, and CC. They have a lot of CC on their team. Now, like I mentioned earlier, Camille has ultimate. I don't have my ulti, so I don't have— I don't feel too comfortable fighting, but Camille has good setup for me. And if this Kled is overextending, we might be able to look here. Kled is not overextending, so we go back to our camps. We farm, farm for ulti, and we go ahead and we are still looking and we're trying to find our fed teammate. So Camille doesn't seem too strong. Setup but not strong. Zilean is playing very well. Taliyah is mental boom tilted, and our Ezreal is useless. Like, just don't even worry about this Ezreal. Maybe Ezreal will scale later on to this game, but for now, don't play with Ezreal whatsoever. Let's go to wolves, let's go to Gromp, hit all of our camps. We have our level 6, so after our camps, what we could do is look for another bot fight again. And if it's a 3v3, we have to look at items first, and we have to look— our Taliyah is coming as well. So with Taliyah coming, this is a 4v3. Because it's a 4v3, I'm already off to a winning start. We can definitely look for a play here. Now I don't know if this Lillia can make it out or not. Looks like she can. Actually, I can probably get her flash here. I can get the kill because she is just too weak and have my levels. I have my, my ultimate, I have my flash. My Taliyah followed up with flash as well. So again, My brain tells me Ezreal is not the lane to play towards, right? But because the enemies just keep inting with worse conditions, we're going to kill them. But I'm still not trying to play through Ezreal. This Ezreal is still not my wincon. I don't really have a wincon. My wincon is myself. My wincon is playing for my gold, playing for my economy, and getting items. And the enemy bot lane lowkey is my wincon, if I'm being honest. Okay, the Senna is diff— disrespecting and overextending again. I'm not going to go mid lane. I'm going to go towards the disrespectful bot lane, see if this guy is walking forward like a psycho. Taliyah keeps pinging me like you see. Taliyah is losing her mind. What I can do is maybe look here at the Xerath. Taliyah baits. Can dodge that. Beautiful. I have a Q, I have a Q as well here. Beautiful. Okay, so falling— my mid laner's dead. That's fine. What that allows us to do is get the entire wave and plates. This guy is still mad and pinging. That's so funny. Like, I'm telling you guys, like, I, I would have muted this Taliyah minutes ago. This guy's no ulti here, so if he really disrespects me, I will kill you. I might E. Close. This guy's fucking terribly mad at the world. So she did one-shot that, that's fine. What we're going to do now is we're going to go back to our camps. I couldn't get my last auto attack off, sadly. We're going to go back to our camps and we're going to hold tab and we're going to assess. Who do we play towards? There's one laner on our side here that's actually doing decent. The one laner is the Zilean. So it's actually not even, uh, it's not even like a carry. It's Zilean. But with Zilean and myself, me and Zilean, we can probably carry this game ourselves. Now again, Camille has ulti setup, so if the Kled overextends here, we could probably kill him. I don't see Kled overextending at all. We do want to play for this dragon if we can. Look at items. We have 2 items down there, right? So Ezreal is not weak anymore. We don't want to play with Ezreal, but Ezreal is not weak anymore. Let's recall. Maybe we play through Ezreal because Ezreal has an item and so does Zilean. At least we want to be in the bot side to play with our Zilean. So let's go down there and let's play with— yeah, let's play with Volibear. Maybe the Ezreal is something we can play with. I don't confidently think so, but we will see here. My mid laner keeps pinging. I'm going to farm my camps first and just play for this dragon. I have like 2 and a half items, right? So as long as my teammates fight with me, we will be able to get this dragon guaranteed. But it's a little bit concerning given everything that's happening here through mid. This guy's dead, that's fine. And Kled seems to be coming all the way towards the bot side, which is also not very good. Let's get rid of his thing here. I might have to ulti away. I'm fucking strong as fuck and I have Zilean ultied on me. Okay, these guys are disrespecting me. That's champion knowledge, champion proficiency there. I just W to block his damage. How's my Ezreal dead here? Uh-oh. Oh, I'm disrespectful. My bad, my bad, my bad. My Zilean had no ulti. I just tossed him 1,000 gold. Uh-oh, uh-oh, that Jinx just collected 450, 1,700. That guy just collected 2.2k gold. Okay, that was really, really, really poorly played from me. Um, I don't— I did not have my ultimate, so I could not jump the Jinx, and then the Senna was just like the wrong target to go for there as well. So again, I've been mentioning this to you guys from the start of the game. I do not want to int with my freaking bot lane, and I ended up inting with my bot lane anyway. Okay, let's try to stay away and try to use our Camille setup here still if we can. Maybe we can get the Herald, maybe we can play from top side, but stay away from this Ezreal, stay away from the bot side. But it's okay, it's okay. We can still come with a victory in this game. What I'm looking to do in the mid game here is I'm looking to find that teammate who I can work with, which I don't really have many options. It's just Zilean. If Zilean does not have ulti, we're not going to play with Zilean because Zilean has no, no tools for me to play with at all. If this— although Zilean has good conditions here. Yeah, yeah, this guy's like inting. Beautiful. If the enemy does that, we can easily kill him, right? What we want to do here is we want to play for the Herald. So I'm gonna try to keep my form as best I can by using all my spells, because if they come to fight us, I want to make sure I have my form. So now that I know they're not coming to fight us, I want to drop the form, and then I want to look to get my, get my ulti back up. Okay, so but given this game, again, it's play through Zilean, and if not through Zilean, it's no one. Maybe the Taliyah can set us up as well. We'll see. The Taliyah, maybe the Camille as well, right? We're just playing through our teammates' setup. We're not actually trying to like— you like— yeah, right here, look at this. Let's, let's finish the Gromp and then we can go play with our Camille here. No ulties too early, bro. Okay, maybe we can go around the turret here. Actually, we can go for this wave maybe. Mid lane looks rough. Zilean looks like he has like relatively low conditions. Yeah, mid lane looks rough as fuck. Uh, this Kled, if he hits the top turret, maybe we can look. Yeah, we can look at this Kled here. Beautiful. Like, at least we get some gold in the top side, which is something for us, right? It's not like we're winning in this game state, but we got some gold back. We're playing with our teammate setup. Okay, this entire top turret as well. Take this guy, kill him here, and then run for our life. As long as we go inside of the Lilia, she can't kill me. These guys are much weaker than I am, and we almost have our Death's Dance here. And what we want to do is also play for our magic resist item. So the number one thing against Lillia is if you can run inside of her when she's about to Q, she's rendered pretty useless. And then these— Lillia has more escape than the Zilean, so we always want to play for the Lillia. This guy is just disrespecting me again. They keep disrespecting me. I will just get the kill, use my E, use my Q for the slow, use my W for the move speed, and her entire top side is up as well as this Kled has a full top wave. So Kled has a full top wave. I can't actually beat him in the 1v1. Never mind, I'm just gonna leave. I'm gonna leave and try to get his top camps because the Kled will fuck my shit up. I'll be 1000% honest with you guys, he has 2 items. So look at that, I have 2 items, he has 2 items, I have a Merc Shreds. I'm not that strong yet. Once I recall, I'll be really strong. Now what I want to do here, I mean, Kled is coming to kill my teammates. Let's ping, try to get them to live. What I want to do is maybe try to rob some of his camps. Okay, looks like the robbing part is, is done. We're done with this. I mean, I could help my— I could help my Zilean here. I, I want to fight slowly. Not good, not good, not good. I'm on the wrong side of the fucking map. Not good. They're going to get the Baron here. Unfortunately, the Jinx showed up and I'm sitting on 3.8k gold. And this is like one fundamental that I wasn't following very well this game, which is, put simply, respect my gold value before fighting, okay? My top laner is okay strength, one item. My mid laner is like 1/7. My, my ADC actually has some gold, but like, I can't use my ulti like that. I need to kill the Jinx. They also have a lot of magic damage, so we want to buy some MR here. I'm debating on Sterak's for the tenacity or some just like true MR. I'm considering. Is there any like MR item. I mean, it's like, there's like Wit's End and more Tenacity item. There's Wit's End. I mean, QSS works as well. Let's look at the Tenacity items real quick because they have so much CC. While I think about items, what we're going to do is we're going to assess our teammates again. My Zilean almost has item. Play through Zilean and play through our Camille. So our Camille almost has second item as well. Okay, we're almost level 16 too. So once we get level 16, we'll have a better opportunity at winning a fight here. My Camille's level 6. We have numbers advantage here. So what we could do is we could look to go in here, kill this guy, and with numbers advantage here, boom, we're able to capitalize on a huge kill in the mid lane, right? But that's because we have more people than they do. Whenever you have more people than they do, you want to be confident with fights like that. Now, I don't want to overdo it here. The Kled also can be on, on his way. Okay, can walk away here. If they overextend here, I will look, right? I will look because they're overextended. We have a numbers advantage. So what are we going to do is we're going to look to fight, and then we're going to go back and we're going to farm some camps. I'm not weak with the team comp, right? I'm not weak with the, with the team. If I'm by myself, yeah, I might just like die, but with the whole team ready to back me up, I am very strong. Okay, and then look at my team, look at my teammates. My Ezreal actually has 2 items, he's not weak. My Zilean is not weak either, right? And again, like, the goal is to keep playing through my Zilean. Okay, let's go ahead and let's keep farming for our next item. And then our Camille now has 2 items, so cool. Camille has 2. Our Taliyah was probably going to recall and have 2. So Taliyah's decent, Camille's decent, and Zilean has 2 as well. So Zilean is our next best person to play through as well. So we're deciding out of base who we want to play with, and it's still not Ezreal. Even though Ezreal has 2 items, you guys saw how he played in the early game. That's not very appealing for me to play with, so I don't want to really want to play with him. Let's go for the Jack Show. I'm probably going to go for Jack Show into a Sterak's Gage because Honestly, the Merc Shreds kind of feels like enough. If we have a Jack Show here, we're going to be very tanky. And then our Camille is solo killing on the top side. As you guys can see, Camille is the right laner to play through. We're going to farm camps in the bot lane. Look at our, like, passive here— 32 armor, 32 MR. Crazy, by the way. Crazy amount of armor, MR. Now the next dragon is coming up in 2 minutes, so let's see what is Ezreal recalling for. He is buying— I don't know, something. Sitting in base. He bought a Last Whisper. Okay. I don't really know who's buying armor on their team, but that's something for Ezreal. We have our completed item here, so let's recall and let's buy the completed item. Zilean and Taliyah are jumping this guy. Good luck. I don't like it. We have Zilean ult. Yep. Zilean R is used. Beautiful. We kill this guy here. So maybe the Kled is going bot lane to push. Yes, he will. And I'm gonna fight down here. I don't have any teammates. I need to wait for Zilean to come back. But what we're looking to do is play for— what's it called? We're looking to play for a fight with our— let's say Zilean is the right teammate to play with again. Like, nothing's changed. Like, I'm not playing with my Ezreal, not playing through my weak teammates. I want to play through the strong one, although Camille is getting very strong as well. So now it's a game of like, oh, I could play with Camille. Zilean's also great to play through too. And in this game, Taliyah is not necessarily weak. The Taliyah might be a psychopath, but she's not necessarily weak. Ezreal's not weak either, so we can— might— we might be able to play through Ezreal as well. It looks not bad. What I'm going to do here is I'm going to look to play my champion correctly, which I'm playing Shyvana. So what I want to do as Shyvana is I want to flank. I want to go from the side here. I want to go— I got a massive ulti here, one-shot this guy. Beautiful. I'm gonna attack the Senna. Okay, I know I have— I know I have Zilean ult here, so I'm not too afraid. I'm just playing through Zilean ult. Okay, I kind of just wanted to play with Zilean R and show you guys that when you play with your fed teammates You're strong, teammate. You could do a lot. Technically, if my Camille found an angle onto the Zilean or to the Xerath, we probably could have killed him. But it's not the end of the world. Let's just play for the objective. Okay, we have this red buff to play for too. Now let's play for the dragon. I wasn't sure if he was going to troll me there or not. Like, based how this Ezreal is playing, he just looks— he looks fishy, bro. Okay, Taliyah's dead again. Although Taliyah is dying a bunch, Taliyah has good farm, so we can at least play through Taliyah farm while my entire team is recalling. I'm gonna use this to farm my camps. Now my Camille has a second, like a third item, so now we very, very much so know who to play through, right? This Camille is extremely, extremely strong here on the map, so we definitely want to play through her. While we're at it, in the meantime, we're just going to farm all of our camps, wait for our team. To come back alive because our Taliyah is dead. And then we want to play with our Camille on the top side. We almost have our item too. We're very close to this, and I don't want to fight right now. I want to wait, even though Zilean's in a good position to fight, like he wants to. So does my Camille. I mean, if, if they want to fight here, we actually could. I don't hate it as long as my Camille is in a good position. Yeah, as long as my Camille's in a good position. I have this Jinx kill here. Beautiful. And as long as my Camille is like around, we should be good. Yep, Camille's around. We could actually probably just end the game here, potentially. The wave is very far. Maybe we can snipe this guy with our E. Camille can probably go forward here. Beautiful, we set the Camille up for a kill. Ezreal's about to die to Ghosts. And there you go, guys. In a game where we have, like, you know, an insane Volibear at the start, a drunk Taliyah, and a Camille who's doing okay and then kind of poorly in the mid game, we end up winning. But the number one thing we were doing, we were actively deciding on who to play with and what conditions allowed us to play with or without a champion. So a lot of the time we could actually play with our Ezreal, but we'll play through bot lane. But it was based on my level 6, it was based on 3v2, not on just playing with Ezreal. All right guys, if you enjoyed, learned a thing or two, please make sure to leave a like, comment, and subscribe. And I'll see you guys in the next one. Peace, peace.
