STOP Building Nocturne WRONG...

Perry Norman breaks down two Nocturne jungle builds: bruiser with Hexblade and Stridebreaker, or lethality with Hail of Blades. He covers when to pick each based on enemy comp, optimal pathing to hit level 6 early, and how to use his ultimate around vision and fog of war.

Nocturne is giga broken right now. I'm going to show you guys 2 different builds on Nocturne. You have the full Bruiser build with the Experimental Hexblade, Stridebreaker, and then Bruiser items, whether that's Black Cleaver, Death's Dance, Guardian's Angel even. And then there's the full lethality build where you go Hail of Blades. New Hail of Blades is pretty strong. I would say it's pretty much the same. It feels a little different, but I actually like it. Kind of scales nicer. And you're going for pure lethality and like a Death's Dance finisher as your items. Absolute 2 banger games. Make sure to watch the lethality game. Crazy ending. I did not expect it. It was something special. If you guys want some LP, play these champions. I hope you guys enjoy and learn a thing or two on Nocturne. All right guys, let's jump into the Bruiser Nocturne game here and let's talk about why and what our path is going to be this game. So I'm gonna do Wolves, Gromp blue, and then clear Raptors, Krugs red, try to get a crab. The reason why I'm doing Wolves and not Raptors is because their mid laner is going to be stronger than my mid laner. They have a Locke and their Graves is also probably gonna be pretty oppressive. Now on Nocturne, you want to start Raptors or Wolves because You want level 6. Like, you don't actually want to impact lanes until you're level 6. So that's why I'm doing this path. Now let's talk about the build. Why did I choose Bruiser this game? We look at my comp here. Do we have any frontline? We have a Zed, we have a Viktor, we have a Twitch, we have a Thresh. Thresh is kind of frontline, but in all honesty, no, we don't have frontline for shit. So me being frontline is a lot better for the team comp, especially because they have Ornn and Nautilus. Now let's say I had no frontline and they had zero frontline as well. Going full lethality is fine in that case.
Okay.
This is fine. I'm just gonna walk away here. I got 2 of my camps. I got a ward there as well. This guy can't kill me ever. And we're going to channel our recall fully, and then we're gonna go to our camps over here. This is why I also really like this path, because it's just a little bit safer in general. And the reason why I don't hate what's happening at all is, funnily enough, Graves is going to go behind. In this game. And just, you guys have to just wait and watch. His camps are so desynchronized. His camps are so messy right now. So— oh my God, he's respawning. This guy's a fool. He's a moron. And the reason why I'm saying he's a moron is because genuinely his camps are desynced. His Raptors, his Krugs are up, and like, he now has no camps for himself to like farm. And my camps are going to respawn as well. The issue is, top lane's getting shoved in, mid lane's getting shoved in, bot lane's getting shoved in. So it's not like I can invade back.
Oh, he's dead.
But it's okay because we started our Wolves and we are going for reset camp. So we'll be fine. We just have to play slow, safe, and in accordance to the fact that my teammates are scaling. Viktor, Twitch, and Zed, they do better as the game progresses. That's why they are getting no prio. Usually your teammates who get no prio are stronger later on in the game. If you had a Draven and he's under his turret— not under his turret, because let's say that you have a Draven Nautilus against the Cait Karma. Or a Caitlyn, like Lux, like some champions will be pushed under turret no matter what because the enemies are like very oppressive. But the idea is like if you have a, if you have a Draven into something really weak and they're under their turret somehow, that's not good. But it's okay. It's not the end of the world. Anyway, back to items because I want to finish my thoughts on that. If you feel like you lack frontline on the team, generally Bruiser Nocturne is going to be good. If you feel like you have plenty of frontline and you feel like Okay, I just want to go in and kill their backline. Then by all means, go for pure lethality, pure damage. What I want to do here is because Graves' clear is probably so funky, his Krugs are going to be up. And that's because he probably did Raptors into the bot side and he wants to go for the bot crab, which he got. And that means I just got to take his topside. I got to take his Krugs. And now I can go back to my camp respawns. And I'm so freaking happy. And that's why invading is just— it's not the end of the world. Like, people just feel bad when invades happen and they make the game harder than it needs to be.
I'm going to go for the Krugs.
That's, that's the reality. That's the reality of invades. Lock just used Flash and everything. I think he's gonna be in this bush. I'm just gonna Flash E on him because he has no E right now, and I need to just kill him now before his E comes up. I need to kill him now because he can stall so much time. I want to just kill him. Okay, let's keep farming the wolves. That's the Gromp. Okay, the Zed's probably dead. That's fine. I don't care. I'm up CS, so I'm happy. I'm farming good. Would blue into Gromp not feel the same level of safety? Uh, no, because resetting my wolves is so important. Resetting my camps is just so strong for the game. That's one of the big things that people don't understand why this player is so powerful. It's because you reset your camps faster than the enemies do. So you'll have a reset camp to return to. I'm gonna keep ward because if this guy keeps trying to invade me, I would love to know ahead of time. We've cleared our camps. We got an extra camp because we got the Krugs. My game plan is going to look pretty normal. In the sense that I want to play— hold on, let's just, let's just fuck this guy up. This guy's no flash, like what is he doing? He's just like, I'm gonna just like one-shot you. Thank you for the kill, bro. Appreciate it. I'm not gonna hit level 6. What I want to do is play for the top crab. Usually the top crab gives you levels, like any crab, second crab gives you level 6. So yeah, see, look, I'm not level 6, but this top crab will get me level 6. I'm gonna go play for this. I have no idea what that Lux just did. That guy just like lost it. My mid laner's freezing well. I'm gonna try to ping. Oh, oh, careful.
Oh, oh, oh.
Now I can get this crab and go for the Krugs as well, which is the best case scenario for me in my game here. Now we have to consider— oh, that's fucking bad because I lose my AD. It's bad. Land your, land your Qs, guys. Okay, we got the crab here. I do want to play for this guy's camp reset here, camp respawn. We could also play for the lock kill though. Okay, Law comes back. We can kill him. That's fine. Drop a ward here. The reason why I don't go fighting him there is because if the Ornn could move quicker— oh yeah, let's just kill this guy. That's not good. Nice, Twitch found the kill on that guy. Okay, it my the Twitch the Twitch move turned this into something fruitful. I fucked up. My ult was pretty bad there, to be honest.
Ooh, rough.
Okay, nice. This Ornn is this Ornn said I want to die instead, bro. Come kill me. Oh, this Locke is gonna kill everybody. Okay, I probably can't play for his Raptors when Locke's doing this. Okay. My bad. Bad ult mid lane. I should have, um— I, I, I— Lux's E is such a short cooldown and my Viktor has Swiftness Boots. So like, Lux— like, my Viktor does no damage. This is my bad. So Nocturne is all about using your ulti correctly, and I just used my ult pretty poorly there. It was better for me to just save my ultimate and go back and farm and relax. Like, it's better to relax on Nocturne than it is to force. If you guys saw what happened when I forced there, it was just ugly. It was just awful. Like, the game is just so chaotic now in a bad way. Like, we're behind. Uh, from all that, based on how they're positioning here, we see the Graves up there too. Okay, um, I could just go ahead and say fuck it, we're not gonna win the Grubs because Thresh is bot side. And I think that's what I'm going to say. That's what I'm going to do because the, the situation is just not good. So the Graves did not do the objective.
Enemy kills.
I should have my item here. I'm gonna go towards the top side. We're gonna say fuck this bot side here, go, go to the grubs then.
We gotta—
we have to kind of like go away from them. The Graves is getting relatively strong, so we have a good game on our hands in terms of showing you guys how to like win. Like Nocturne's strength isn't necessarily the early game, but the early game went pretty nice. But Nocturne's strength comes later on in the game, so I'll show you guys what that looks like as the game progresses. What I'm going to do is skip my top camps and go straight for these grubs because The grubs are an objective that we do want. Uh, when they do the objective on the opposite side of the map, we want the other objective on the other side of the map. Okay, we can kill this guy for sure.
Okay.
Twitch is coming soon. Kill this guy. Twitch is coming soon. We're waiting for Twitch. Sneaky, sneaky. Nice. It's a great team fight in the mid lane. That's what we're looking for, like picks. The Ornn was picked off, so we ulted the Ornn, uh, and then the fight just went pretty good from then on. We have good frontline, or we, we have the right item really for our teammates to facilitate for fights like that. Like if we have full lethality there, we're fucking cooked. But I do want to show you guys lethality is strong as fuck too. So both builds are good. It just depends on the game. Let's finish this. Keep going down towards the bot side. And we have our ulti coming up soon from the Ulti Hunter stacks and from the Experimental Techplate, which feels so great. Like 30 ulti haste. Oh, I love it. You love to see 30 ulti haste on an item. Okay, this is gonna get a little close, but we'll be fine. Save the Smite so I can Smite this guy.
Oh, I'm dead.
It's just a little bit of min-maxing here, and a little bit of min-maxing just saves you seconds. And when you're playing Nocturne, like, what else are you doing? You're looking at lanes, and then you're min-maxing your clear. Jungling is all about min-maxing. So if you like to optimize, you'll like this role, if you're curious. Or maybe if you're like rethinking the role and you're not good at optimizing things, you won't like this role. So it's— this role is all about just like, how do I optimize things ever so better? I could always ult in here. Okay, that was not the best play. I'll be honest. I thought my Twitch would open fire right when the Graves showed up right here. But but the idea: Rush hooks, Flays, Twitch open fire, blah blah blah blah blah. I go in, get the pick. I run away. But this Twitch is like, I don't know. He had ulti there. He just just didn't ult. It is what it is. When your teammates don't do what you think is supposed to happen or do what you suggest or want, don't fucking int. And that's my bad. I just inted there. I tossed a 550 gold shutdown to— 565 gold shutdown to the Kai'Sa. Not good. It's my fault. I do have my ulti coming up soon though, and we know this Kai'Sa won't have ults because my ult is so much faster with 61 haste from the Experimental Hexplates and the runes. So I should be able to make it to the bot side and attack this Kai'Sa. without too much worry. But what I do want to do here is play in a way where I want to play aggressively. Um, sucks though because Locke has full control here.
Are you my nightmare?
We need to like contest through bot lane and then like— why didn't he drop a ward there? I have no clue. Okay, we want this crab. I'm only in the bot river like this because I want the crab very badly. Holy shit, this Thresh is fucking mental. So we have to just leave. We have to just leave. Look, look, look, my Twitch decided he wants to hit the plates. Don't int. Yo, Filipino Rakan, bro, thank you for the Prime. Okay, now my Thresh inted. My Twitch got a few plates. It's all good. It is what it is. Sometimes you have to play the game like that. Like, I want to go in there. I want my Viktor to ulti there when he stuns people. I want my, my Twitch to move up. But it's fine. Okay, let's go towards the top side here. We want to just go ahead and consider whether we can win this Dragon fight without our ultimates. And the honest answer is we probably can. But if we go top lane, we get to break a full turret and we get to progress the game and we get to play for the Herald. So I'm just making the evaluation that like there's a chance we can win the Dragon fight, but there's a guarantee we can get the top turret and maybe top camps as well. So I'm going to play for the top side, top side fight here. You like lethality?
Oh, this guy's—
what, what the hell? Okay, I'm coming then. My Twitch is on recall too, which just, just makes this play so interesting. Kill one here. Then look for 2 here. That's, that's Lux flash. Twitch flash auto? No? Not enough damage. Okay. It's gonna be 3 for 1. We lost the Drake. We killed them at least, which is not bad. I got like, we got like triple flash. The flashes just fucked the play a little bit, but it's fine. Like ultimately it's not bad. I probably should have pinged to Zed to play for the top turret, but it's not the end of the world. It's not a bad play. Look, look, we're getting plays here. We got kills. They broke their entire turret. We're going to get more plates here. So don't look at this as a bad play necessarily. We also got all their flashes. It's not a bad play. Yeah, I mean, talking about the build, someone's like, oh, I like lethality better than bruiser. It depends on the game state, right? Like builds, it really depends. Like, so of course if they're full squishy, I'm going to go lethality and I'm going to have a blast. But if they're full tank, you go lethality, it's like, oh fuck, I can't play the game. So it's— you have to be thoughtful with what you're buying in the game. You can't just buy off like, oh, this feels good, or oh, I like this. Now you have to be very selective with what you're doing. Would you have any tips for quitting League? I don't know. I don't want you. I need you to not quit League. So I'll coach you to just keep the game installed perma. Okay, so let's think who's safer. When you're playing Nocturne, you need to think who's safer on your team and then who's easy to kill on their team. So first thing, Zed's safer than the Viktor. And second thing, Locke and Ornn are both kind of easy to kill, but because my Viktor is less safe, it's better to play with him than it is to play with my Zed, because my Zed's literally fine. He could do whatever he wants without me. My Viktor literally can't play the game unless I'm there with him. So when you're deciding who you're trying to hover and play with, you need to evaluate those 2 things. So this guy wants to walk forward here and like maybe play for the turret. I'm gonna back him up hard here. And then boom, there we go. Exactly what I said. Who is safer? Who is harder? And obviously, if, if the, if the Graves is thinking Viktor's probably easier for me to kill, I'm gonna go try to kill the Viktor. Okay, try to kill the Viktor then, bro. I'm, I'm here, I'm ready. And that's the thing about Nocturne. You threaten everywhere in the game. So technically, they don't know where I'm threatening. I probably also could go Black Cleaver this game instead of Death's Dance. Probably be a better purchase, but it's fine. Nocturne is all about assessing who you are playing with and what their movement is on the enemy team. If you're not good at reading the map, you're not good— you're not going to be good at this champion. And so look at a base here. Where are people going? Viktor's going mid, Zed's going top. Great. Now we can play for this Herald. So instead of just mindlessly hitting the Herald earlier, I'm gonna pull Herald at an appropriate time, which is now. And if they come to fight me, I have my ulti, my teammates are gonna be with me, they're gonna get stomped. So I want them to come fight me. If they don't, we get free Herald.
Great.
And now, what am I going to do? I'm going to essentially play bot lane again and hover the Viktor. So I'm hovering him just in case something bad happens. Okay, nothing's happening. We see the Lock. Lock's leaving. Okay, now he's safe to push. Because we see this.
That's it.
Okay, so now I'm gonna go back to farm. And I'm essentially just playing this game of like, if the enemies misstep and try to fight my teammates, I'm there, you're dead. If my enemy— if the enemies aren't misstepping or the enemies aren't doing that, then I'm just gonna go farm and wait and then get strong enough to then kill them later on. So I'm never forcing too hard. I'm just relaxing, waiting. And my Viktor now is 2 items. This guy's so strong. But now we'll hard win. Gotta assist and stay with the hardest person. Thanks guys. That's what I said. Yeah. That's exactly what I said, yeah. Um, Hey Perry, I struggle with Evelynn here. I feel like I struggle into Nocturne because it's a bad matchup. So matchups in jungle are fake because you don't have to fight the enemy. If you're struggling because of matchups, that just probably means you're fighting the enemy. Just walk away, bro. If they take your camps, they take your camps. Just literally walk away. Like, you don't have to fight them. If you lose a few camps, you lose a few camps. Kill the laners. Kill other people. Same thing here. Just how do I play with Viktor? Also, I should be putting points into my E. I don't know why I'm putting points in my W. My fear is gonna be so much shorter than what it should be. So that's, that's kind of stupid. There is one big issue here, and that's like, what if they fucking just play for the— oh, I gotta go take a, take a sweeper then, or like an Oracles. Barsike! Same thing, same thing. My Thresh lived somehow? Jesus. If this guy E's into the wave, I will definitely jump on him. I think he will. Like, he— to wave clear, he will E into the wave. Bang! And that's how you generate gold and kills and pressure, by watching people, assessing what they're doing, and then deciding on what to do with that information. You have to watch people. If you, if you are not good at watching people, don't play this champion. If you don't know how to click on your map, you don't know how to assess the map, this champ's not for you. Is it always better to use Herald mid to open the map? It's better to use Herald where, uh, in the— for the mid tier 1, absolutely. But otherwise, use it anywhere. Anywhere that makes the most sense to you. Also, skipping the blue buff, why? I want to align my tempo with the Viktor. I'm always thinking about this guy, 'cause he's strong on my team. He might— his score might not be like beautiful, but he's strong as fuck. So I'm gonna back him up. I'm gonna make sure this guy is safe. I wanna make sure you can play the game. It's my job. Like, it's my job as a jungler, but also it's really easy on Nocturne. Just chill here, one E.
I sense fear.
Yikes. Okay, if they bring the whole squadron over, it's a little fucking harder, but I think my Viktor can stall a lot of time. We can get plates in the top side at least. Yeah, this guy can stall for so long here. Right? And then this guy's getting mid plates here. This guy's getting top plates here. We broke an entire top turret and majority of the mid turret. Or like the whole mid turret too. Like these guys are just getting like completely handled in terms of macro. Nocturne is all about the macro game. You should always do Raptors, Krugs, same as blue. Synchronize your camp timers. Doesn't matter red side. No, you can do Wolves, Gromp as well. Not just Raptors, Krugs. There's a reason for both. You need to think about, can I get invaded on my Raptors? If you get invaded on your Raptors, you should start your Wolves. It's the same thing. It gets you the same exact same thing. Just one is safer than the other. Okay, my Viktor's two and three two and a half items at this point in the game. We still want to hover him. We still want to play slow. My teammates are still getting strong, but if we see an alt angle, we can go in and jump someone. Oh, he was asking man should you? Oh, my fault. I I can't read. Yo, my bad. Yo, elo elo elo elo elo. My bad. I can't read. I I thought I read that as a statement. I'm so sorry. You have my full sincerest apologies. Thank you. Thank you, Hash, for addressing my poor English again. It's not about the 1v1 matchup, but how the game plays out. I try to fight him unless I'm hard winning. It just feels like he snowballs on my laners. I mean, you're just playing a weak champion, bro. You're like, oh, my champ's so weak. What do I do against strong junglers? Play a better champ. Like, there's no other way around it. You have to be okay with losing a lot in the early game because your champ is genuinely weak. So your goal on Nocturne with your E Is to just— oh my god. Like, like, oh my god. What the fuck was that damage? What did that lock just do to me? Did you see what happened to that Twitch? What the fuck? I need to play slower. I need to stop hunting for kills. Nocturne, with this build, and in general, League of Legends, You don't hunt for kills, okay? You take chunks. Chunks are better than kills. Chunks are stronger than kills. Uh, so that's my bad. I, I completely inted there. I completely inted. Twitch went melee though. Yeah, I mean, Twitch did go melee. Oh, I'm going to go in on this guy, bro. I don't care. I'm going in on this guy here. Bro, can I kill you ever? I missed the ward as well. Dude, why did that take? Why was that so hard? That guy's fucking thick, bro. That guy's thick as fuck. Game plan's the same. Play with Victor. My Zed's really strong though. Create chaos to enable my my Zed as well. That's also playable. This up? Yeah, it is. Okay, my ult max range. Love it. Victor, three items. Love it. I'm three and a half. Top laner's three and a half. Let's play together. Let's look for picks. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. We see Graves in the bot side. Go go go go go go go go go go! What's wrong with you? I have ulti. Ah fuck bro. Yeah, we should. Dude, this—
he's stupid.
He's just dumb. Do you guys understand? If this guy just walked up, cleared this ward, found the fact that they're not doing the objective or they're not here, maybe we push mid in. Oh, they're not here. Oh, where could they be? Oh, Viktor, run, run, run! But like, nah, Thresh is like Hmm, I'm scared, bro. I'm, I'm scared, man. I don't want to walk in. Okay, my Twitch is on mid lane. My Zed is pushing. They have to deal with Zed eventually. They're not on that. Okay, I'll keep farming. They're probably playing for the Soul here. I need my Zed to join us in one fight. Like, come play, come push the lane, and come join us in just one fight, bro, and then we can just win the game. How about that? How about How about you stop farming and you come fight with us one time? I think this is how laners feel about junglers. Just farm, farm, farm. Push your wave and then come fight one time, bro. Just once. Okay, this is Zhonya's, Zhonya's, Zhonya's, Zhonya's. Think about it. Think about Zhonya's, Zhonya's, Zhonya's, Zhonya's. Picking them hard. Okay, nice. Grabbing info. Nice. We have full control.
Three of me.
If you're pinging, go in on that, he says. Oh, they have double Zhonya's. Okay, fuck. I mean, we don't end the game, we have too many turrets, but they'll get, they'll get stole for sure. Ah, it's my bad. I should have used my, my, uh, Farsight to check. And see if they are there or not and then have decided to go. So if I was a better Nocturne player, I would have done that. But I guess I'm just— I'm not good enough to see that angle. But my Zed is just a moron. Like, my Zed is actually a moron. And so is this Thresh.
God.
I mean, I mean, I hate— as much as I hate my teammates, guys, I've thrown so many times this game that it's like no one's fault but my own. Like, in all honesty, it's no one's fault but my own. I think I have to just like rip it here. Look, why is my Zen not coming? Fuck's sake, bro. This guy just probably— oh my God, I hate this set. I hate players who just have fat egos. Just try to win the game, bro. If I didn't get the Kai'Sa kill there, we would lose the Baron and the game would just look so bad. I think you guys are outscaled though. We outscaled them. Also, scaling is just fake, bro. Like, we just, we just played the fight poorly. Right, literally just outscale this, outscale that, bro. Play the game, play the game better. Okay, we found, we found the pick there. That's really important. I don't know, we have one opportunity to maybe end this game. We'll see.
I'm gonna go for it.
Oh, nice hook, nice hook. That guy's no flash. Uh, push through top lane. I don't know if y'all can end though, like in all honesty, can you guys end? I don't think so, but we can get like triple inhib maybe. Your team has destroyed an inhibitor. Your team has destroyed a turret. Uh-oh, uh-oh, uh-oh! Ow, bro, that guy— okay, we got triple inhib though, it's fine, dude. Uh-oh. Okay, fight GA. Oh my God, I got so silent cuz I was like overextending and like I knew it was— I knew I was Ah! Bro, dude, it's so easy to hit on this champion. This is not a good display of what you should be doing, but, but like, it's the essence. It's the essence. Do everything I'm doing except for dying. Okay, we have wave, wave, wave, wave, wave, and they have a lock. So at this point in the game, their wave clear is really, really, really bad. So we should definitely look to team fight now. Definitely use, uh, the remainder of our Baron, which is a bit left, and we should try to end the game here. We should find a pick here as well. Beautiful. Great. That's exactly what I want to do with my ultimate. You always find picks when you can. Anyone who's picked off, use your Nocturne R if you can. And then here, what we're going to do is just pressure the— pressure. They can't handle all the minions that are supered. I have GA as well, and I can just kill him myself. Kill that one. GG. There we go. There we have it. All right, guys. Bruiser Nocturne. I hope the explanation makes sense. The gameplay itself, a little bit in here and there. I wasn't fully focused, I admit. But still a great game nonetheless. I'll see you guys in the next lethality Nocturne game. All right guys, let's jump into the lethality Nocturne game here. First big difference I want to address is the fact that we have Hail of Blades. Same thing, we have Ultihanter. We want Ultihanter very badly, but the Hail of Blades is the biggest thing. Triumph, Alacrity, and then the Charge are the same. So why Hail of Blades this game? Uh, why are we going for damage? Look at their comp. They have 5 squishies. Right? They have 2 assassins. Okay, to be fair, Master Yi and Rengar are like stupid champions, but they have 5 squishies, really. So that's why this is just gonna work a lot better for us. But you look at my team and like we don't have much frontline necessarily. Illaoi is some frontline, but in all honesty, like we don't have a lot of frontline. And that's okay though, because they don't either. So it's just a battle of like, it's a battle of one-shots. Does Rengar one-shot us or does Yi one-shot us or do we one-shot them? So whoever can deal more damage and kill faster kind of has a better chance of winning this game. My buy-in is also cooking. This is good. I should be able to kill this. My top's cooking too. He lives on 1 HP. My sound's a little low. Oh, that's not good. Okay, their mastery has like no Ignites and Flash. Yuumi said NT. Am I asking this question wrong? This is League of Legends right here. Rengar did 3 camps into a mid gank. Okay, let's see if they use Flashes. They use Rengar Flash. Okay. So I'm pinging the Rengar Flash like this in a way because it's probably frustrating for my Syndra to die. But if I like tell the Syndra, yo, I saw that Rengar flashed, it's like a morale boost. It's like, yo, like, oh, I feel seen. I feel heard. Okay. Like, okay, he knows. He noticed. It's not a good feeling to get to die like that. It's not a good feeling to die like this either. But nice. That's a 1 for 1. If top lane trades, Master Yi does have a ward in the lane. I'm going to danger ping here because we know that the Rengar is down there, right? He did red buff and then he ganked mid lane. So he has to be in the bot side now. I'll just clear my camps and go for the crab. I was gonna say if this Master Yi trades, we could maybe try to dive. This guy's fucked. I don't like this position because my mid laner is weaker than the enemy mid laner and the Rengar could try to invade me. I'm gonna drop a ward here.
And I—
and the Rengar has Fleet Footwork. I'm gonna check this out. So I actually have a better combat, uh, combat rune than the Rengar. Which is good. We're good. We're just gonna grab our camps here. Let me danger ping the Illaoi. Danger ping here. This is respawning. So I'm gonna let my top laner know very, very, very, very, very importantly, um, that he needs to be careful. Okay, so after this trade, one more time. Okay, just be very helpful to this guy that like he needs to be careful. Uh, it's very important to be constantly communicating. And then we'll go back to our top camps. We could— okay, yeah, see, Rengar's there. Technically here, it doesn't— it's not bad to actually overstay a bit. Uh, because I don't know if— I don't think they've gone for a ward because they've been laning. My Illaoi is also cooking. So I'm gonna loop all the way around because I don't want my time to be wasted at all. I wanna—
oh, fuck.
I wanna guarantee some kills here.
Watch it out.
Great, we can guarantee 2. One for myself, one for my Ezreal. Great. And then my— like, this is the best case, uh, because if I path this way, they'll see me like here, and then they'll be able to run away from me, and I don't want them to run away from me. And this game— so usually you could go for a, I believe, like Profane Hydra into, uh, an Axiom Arc. I'm deciding if I just want Axiom Arc first item and then Profane. And the reason for this is it's a very specific— I can also go Hullbreaker. There's so many things you can actually do. And I'm— I think I want Axiom early. Now let me explain why. So my top laner is winning. My mid laner is doing pretty good even though he died early. And my bot lane is fighting to the death. When I see a bot lane fighting to the death, they're kills every single time I have my ulti, right? Every time I have ulti, Sona or Kog'Maw, they're fucking dying. Even their Master Yi, probably dying. So I want to like, I want to like very badly like fight with my ulti. That's why I'm considering Axiom Arc as my first item. But we'll see. I think this crab is very hard to play for because we have no bot prio and we have no mid prio. So I don't want to get myself killed. I do want to hit this Scryer's though to see if he's on it or not. He is. I'm going to drop a ward here. I'm going to grab my level 6. And yeah, I think this Axiom Arc makes sense. Nautilus OP, but he's so boring. If you want LP, you play the boring shit. Sometimes winning is boring, man. I want to finish my camp here and then ulti. I'm gonna smite early though so I can make it there a little faster. And I do want them to walk up and fight a bit. He's probably in the top side here, so I'm gonna walk into the lane because I don't want to get spotted by any wards. And now we're gonna go deep here. I'm gonna get my, my fear on this guy and then push him backwards to my team before I even auto attack once. Notice how, notice how I did that, right? I made sure— I don't think I die. Yeah, I made sure that my E landed. I didn't auto him. I ran into him, connected my E, and then I was able to push him back to my team, use my Hail of Blades, and kill him. Please, when you're playing, please, please, please play like that. Play with your E in that way. Perry, can you explain when to switch to yellow and the red one? So red is like good if you're a champion that constantly wants to be in their jungle and wants to like assassinate in like that way. Usually taking blue on— or taking yellow until like 10 minutes is like fine. And then Nocturne specifically, obviously, He wants blue as the game progresses. I would just say that like, depending on your champ, you have to think, do I want sweeper to clear wards? Or do I want yellow trinket to get more information? And champions like Nocturne who are playing like defensively for the most part in our jungle, we don't walk on wards anyway. We don't want to. We're playing in our jungle for the most part. And we don't get spotted by any vision anyway because we're ulting from fog of war. You don't want to ult from non-fog of war on Nocturne. So that's why I'm not interested in taking something like Scryer or Red Trinket, because I'm not trying to clear vision. I'm trying to get vision for my teammates, spot enemies out, and, and help maintain control over the game. So my main goal is to have control. So that's why it's super important to go for Yellow Trinket on specifically Nocturne. I'm gonna go for a ward here, and it's just gonna get me some information as to if they come into me. And then we're gonna go ahead and grab the small guys. It's extra gold. We'll take any gold we can get our hands on. We see Rengar in the bot side. These guys are cooked. It is what it is. My Red Wolf will kill that. I'm gonna go for his top camps in this case. It is what it is. I can't control that. So I just let it happen and then I go play for his top side camps. And I get what I can in the top side. Now there's a world where Nocturne— or not Nocturne. Rengar recalls and playing for his top side camps is a bit hard. But there's also a world where he doesn't recall. It was dependent on the— The pet, let's drink it there. The pet. Fucking the plant. Can't English. Uh, if the plant was there, I would have gone. Plant's not there, so let's just leave. I mean, we can kill this Sona and Kog'Maw if they walk up, so I'm gonna walk towards bot lane and look for this kill. Thinking about the different jungle pets, can you give some insights? Green if they have high DPS, red if your champion needs the slow, uh, blue if your champion needs the move speed. That's like a TL;DR. And, and on any champion you can go any pet. It's not like one, one champ Goes one pet only. So the issue with ulting bot lane is if Rengar is here with his ulti as well, I'll get cooked. The issue with top lane— not issue, but like the situation with top lane is that this guy is probably like easy to kill. So I'm gonna go ahead and ulti this guy here.
Peace fading. Wild out.
Okay, great. We have the hail of blades hit on him. We kill this guy. My top laner is going to get more plates here. I'm gonna go back to my camps. And again, like, we're not gonna win a fight in the bot side because they're they're bringing Anivia down there and my bot lane is losing three v three. So don't play with your teammates that are losing. They're quicksand. The best way to look at it is don't play with the quicksand teammates. Play with the teammates who are strong. Do we want to go hole breaker? I think actually this game a hole breaker angle is not bad. Why? It's actually such a specific instance where I am going to be splitting with my teammates, with my like top laner. This guy doesn't flash. He does. Just late. I can't go further. Sadly. It's such a specific instance where like my top laner, I'm gonna keep working with him. So because I'm not gonna be playing like a traditional game around— sorry, no, no, Hullbreaker, Bastion Breaker, Bastion Breaker, sorry. I'm gonna go for it. I— they're the same item to me. Um, but yeah, because I'm playing with my Illaoi the whole time, it makes more sense to do this because I'm gonna be splitting around the map. Okay, Rengar's here too. Hell nah, I can't just ulti. Okay, Sona just flashed in on me. Your team has destroyed a turret. This guy's by himself and I'm just pure damage. Pure damage is what I have here. And I have to be careful because what if the Rengar is like being fucking annoying and is right there? So I'm gonna recall first. A lot of you guys might not do that. And look, if I face-checked, I would have just gone— I would have just died. So you always have to be respectful that the enemy is doing the right thing. Is Bastion Breaker good for Viego right now? It's game dependent. So those items are like, are you splitting? Are you team fighting? Like, what— how are you playing the map? I'm playing the map. If you're playing this game where I'm gonna be split pushing a lot, then Fashion Breaker is better. This guy's dead. He had to W already. Yeah, I'm Thanos right now. I didn't W. I didn't W there. Fuck, I didn't W. Oh, I didn't W. Oh, I didn't W. Oh, I didn't W. Okay, we got this guy anyway. Axie Mark value there. You guys seeing that? Like, I keep getting kill after kill. I keep getting Axie Mark value. Now, the more lethality we have, obviously the better. We'll get even more value. So we want some more lethality. Of course, we see Rengar in the top side. Let's recall. Oh, I love this build. This build feels so good when enemies are squishies. Anyway, we want to farm a little bit more to our next level. Yeah, I mean to our next level. Sorry, we want to get to level 11. And then we go ahead and we play for the next objective, which is going to be this Herald. You go Hexplate when you can't one-shot? So I explained it at the start of the game. I'll explain it again. You go Hexplate when your teammate's in the frontline and the enemies are extremely tanky. Okay, we have our ulti coming up soon. My top laner is able to apply a lot of pressure there. I need to be careful of my ulti down here. Nice try. Okay, cool. I wanted to kill that guy because that, that ruins Rengar's ulti timer, and ruining Rengar ulti timer is massive for us. Because we get to own the map for a bit. So my goal there was like, I wanted to go in, ruin Rengar's ulti timer, and give my Syndra some pressure on the map. I get my next ulti and I play hard. Now I do want to use my Bastion Breaker. Using my Bastion Breaker will be huge. That's so much damage. You can come help this guy. Okay. I got it. I also have my ulti here. An enemy has been slain. Okay, mid lane, it's not looking too good. This Kog'Maw overstays here, I will ult him, obviously. Okay, we have the last bit of Bastion Breaker here. I don't know if I'll make it in time to hitting this turret. I don't think I will. We can still kill this turret real quick. Okay, let's recall now. Now I want to recall, and I want to probably play for more damage. You could go for— I think I just want a Voltaic because I want to slow them as well. So more damage at this point. I'm gonna keep finding my picks as Nocturne, but the way I'm gonna actually win this game is I need to play with my Illaoi. I need to fight with my Illaoi. I mean, actually, hold on, come here. Fuck, I have no vision of him. Fuck. Okay, cool. I don't know why that guy played to do that instead of like playing chill there. I have my ulti up in 10. Yeah, I can't do anything. I should just go for the Herald. Okay, I have my Hullbreaker here, so I should just go play for the Herald. Is it worth to invade early game with Nocturne? It just depends on the game state. Nocturne can, but he also like doesn't really want to. Okay, kill this guy too. Get that guy's flash. I'm happy with that. Okay, let's recall here for our item. If my Illaoi doesn't come, I don't really want to fight this, and I just want to play for picks. An economy. Because again, I'm strong, but I— this build is all about picks. This build is not necessarily about, uh, winning team fights. It's like I need to pick the enemies off, otherwise useless. I'm useless essentially. So if Kog'Maw's on this wave, I'm gonna Scryer's back here, see the dragon, see if he's on it. We'll just kill this guy here. Bang! All that damage so quickly. And Herald's not gonna be up here, which is fine, but we gotta just keep playing with my Illaoi. And I, I do have to think about my Bastion Breaker where— when I can, where I can.
What?
Oh, she pressed it like twice there. Yeah, I'm kind of scared. I need to walk back here, but they're kind of scared of me. I mean, they're— we're bringing people towards the top side, which is not bad for us. Okay, we can go back to farming a bit here. Oh, they went for this guy. Fuck, that's not good. Wait, I should go for that fucking Anivia then. Uh, that Anivia should have died here. All good, all good. Let's keep farming. We have a lot of gold. We want to go for Do we need Shield Break this game? I think Shield Break is good. It's hard. I don't know where Rengar is, so I can't just go in because Rengar is just going to crush, like absolutely crush me. So I gotta be careful. Like Rengar can one-shot me as much as I can one-shot them, right? So I need to be very thoughtful about that. I'm sitting on a lot of gold here. My Illaoi is giga respectful too, which I love. Love to See that. Okay, I'm probably just going to look for some shield break here. I don't hate it because they have barrier, because they have Sona. I don't think it's bad. I think it's not bad.
Oh, whoa, whoa.
Okay, we have a Mikael's. Holy shit.
That's huge.
Okay, that's good. I don't want any more gold than I already have, to be honest. I think my Ezreal can take that guy. I would hope so. Okay, and this Master Yi just decided to kill himself for the turret. Which I can respect. He's gonna go for turret and the wave.
Wow.
My Illaoi has Stridebreaker. Okay, I am full build. I can't buy anything else that provides me any insane value. I think from here on we just go for a little bit of defensive stats, maybe a pink ward as well, and then we try to play for this. Yeah, I mean, I mean, let's go down mid lane. Let's try to get one ulti play. I need to play very disciplined. If I die, this game is hard. So like this, like assassins in general, you need a lot of discipline because you don't get many opportunities to like keep playing the game because your team fights are bad. You need to keep picking them. Once they start grouping, you lose a lot of your strength. So it's really important to just be super smart about how you're playing the map.
It's just you and me.
Wow, Illaoi, Illaoi just, Illaoi just did a thing. Illaoi just did the Illaoi thing, so they lose the Nash. That's huge. Let's look towards mid lane right now. I'm not gonna get baited by this Raptor camp. Master Yi is the most important target. Holy shit, I live. This Yuumi has Mikael, so I live. My Ezreal has a Frozen Heart right now. Oh my god, this Anivia is like a noob. Okay, I landed a massive Q there. We need to think about the, um, Rengar. Yeah, Rengar. Come here, little kitty. I have my W, so you can't do anything.
Come here, little kitty.
Yeah!
Good work, 3-9 Ezreal! You can never hate your teammates. Like, like, give them time. Like, trust the process. Like, some people just need to int, let it out, and then they can play. We're gonna play for this bot turret here. We're gonna get some plates. And then we can walk away. I think I can just crack this turret. Deals so much damage. Wait, this Kog'Maw's dead. Oh my God, that is so much damage. Like, that is unfathomable amounts of damage. Rengar's there. This guy might be dead.
Shut down.
Fuck, my Yuumi got off me. This Anivia just cashed in 1K. I lose my— all my jungle camps. Do we lose the game?
Yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, we might have lost the Game here. No, I'm gonna be so—
God, we'll keep this game in here. It was still a good game.
Like, I think this was still a good game to watch. It sucks, but I called it. Die once, you can lose the game because my teammates weren't playing too well. And the honest answer to the ending of the game there is like, I should just not join the fight, recall, play my game. Frustrating. It sucks. Yes. But that's also just part of the game where like some games you don't win and it's okay. I know I played well and I can replicate how I played in the future. And if I play like this consistently, I'll climb.
So if you're able to replicate games like this, you'll inevitably climb. And it kind of sucks. I'll be honest, guys, it kind of sucks. Losing games like that sucks. But you have to be honest about the big picture. That's not going to be my last game whatsoever. I'm going to be playing more. And I just try to keep playing how I played in future games. As long as I'm consistent, the game will inevitably reward me and I will inevitably climb. And that's how I got Challenger. And that's how I always climb on all my accounts. It's like, okay, sure. I lost that game, but I'm 22 wins and 3 losses on this account. High-hand leveled. Yes. So it's like, it is what it is. Like every now and then I won't win a game that I probably deserve to win. Once you accept that, I think it's easier to play the game and not be so frustrated. Nonetheless though, you guys saw how much damage that was. That's a lot of damage. You guys should play Lethality Nocturne. I'll wrap the video here. Pretty interesting ending. I don't think anyone expected a loss. But if you guys enjoyed the video, make sure to leave a like, comment, subscribe. Check out the Jungle Kingdom. We have massive, massive, massive changes going on in the Jungle Kingdom. I'll take a quick peek for you guys. You can now look at score from the early, mid, late game, review your own games as well. All these plays are pretty accurate. I need your feedback if they're not accurate. And real quick, if you guys are wondering where I've been, it's been really inconsistent uploads and really inconsistent I just haven't been streaming in a while. I have taken some time to rethink what I'm doing with my content. What are my issues with content? What I want to create? What enjoy? How do I enjoy the game some more? And at the same time, I've been working really hard on the Jungle Kingdom project. And that's where a lot of my time is spent. I want to make the Jungle Kingdom work. So yeah. All right, guys. I'll see you for the next time. Peace, peace.
