A short motivational YouTube talk by Peter Szabo arguing that mentoring (finding and learning from people already achieving your goals) is the fastest way to accelerate results across areas like weight loss, finances, and happiness. Szabo contrasts mentoring with self-study (books/courses), emphasizes insight and personalized guidance over information overload, warns about fake 'experts', and notes cost/accountability trade-offs for hiring coaches or trainers.

Hey there, Peter Szabel. So in this video, I want to talk about a very simple concept that actually can speed up your results. Maybe, you know, double, triple, maybe even 10x your results very fast. So it's gonna sound cheesy, but there's actually a shortcut to success. A lot of people say that there's no shortcuts to success. Like this is not an overnight thing, but there's actually a very real way to actually speed up the process and get your results faster. Whether that's losing weight, making more money, living a better life, being happier, whatever it is that you want. There's one simple thing that you can do to get much better results much faster and save so much money and headaches. You see, if you saw my story, I had the chance to achieve a lot of things at a very young age, which you could consider success. And I believe one of the key reasons I had the privilege and you know, I'm just so humbled to be there, but I had the chance to get it so quickly was because of mentoring. It's about finding people who are getting the results that you want now and paying them so they can teach you how to get there fast. Because obviously you have a choice to read books, right? You can watch videos and you can have, you know, you can figure this out on your own, and that's a very viable solution. But eventually you're going to discover that it's just better to find somebody who's already there, you know where you want to be, and just hire them to help you actually bridge the gap. Now, going to find a lot of fakers in this industry. It's called the expert industry. You know, coaches and consultants and advisors and speakers. You're going to find a lot of fakers. You're going to find a lot of people that have actually not achieved what you want to achieve, but they're still selling it for money. But there's also a few that actually are legit and that you can pay them, or lots of the times you can ask them advice for free. You know, but if I could name one thing that made the difference in my speed up results, it would definitely be mentoring masterminds. You know, just being in the proximity of these people, actually stepping up your peer group and also learning from them directly. You know, giving there is, well, here's the deal. They're not giving you information, right? They're not not even giving you wisdom. They're giving you insight specific to your problem, specific to your goals and needs. It's actually gonna make the difference that you're looking for. So it is insight that you're really craving, not necessarily an overload of information. You know, when we buy books or courses, whatever. I'm not saying it's bad. It's a wonderful start. I think it's. It's wonderful. I still do read books and watch video courses. But, you know, when we buy these kind of things, we get this, you know, fuzzy little feeling in us that, oh, I've done something to attain my goal. But a lot of the times we don't finish books, we don't finish video courses, and even if we do, we never really apply that information. So what really makes the difference is actually in sight specific to your goals and needs and solutions. I mean, they can save you years and maybe decades and thousands of dollars when it comes to getting results, because they've already tried a lot of those techniques and tips and tricks from those books. They've applied it, it never worked. And now they can give you their learning lessons and insight immediately. You can literally transfer their brain into yours, and you're just so much better off. So getting a mentor is the number one thing you can do in terms of getting faster, better results. Initially, it might not be a good idea because it costs a lot of money to hire. A good mentor might cost four, five, six figures. So it's an investment that a lot of newbies, when it comes to, for example, making money online, cannot afford. But even if you want to lose weight, I mean, if you're serious about it and you want somebody to hold you accountable and actually kick you in the ass when you're not doing the things you're supposed to do, that's when you get a trainer, right? And it really helps big time. The same thing is true with, you know, getting financial results or happiness results. That's when you hire a mentor, a coach, or a consultant that's going to be there to give you insight and hold you accountable. Peace.
