What Story Is Holding You Back?

Peter Szabo delivers a short motivational monologue urging viewers to stop waiting for external permission and to begin embodying the person who can achieve their goals now. He argues that waiting and blaming external circumstances (or seeking to "heal" first) are unnecessary barriers; instead, people should start living toward their desired reality, noting that instant attainment would be unfulfilling (illustrated by a "cheat codes" gaming metaphor). The tone is conversational, direct, and candid.

Hey there. This is Peter Szabo. And in this video, I want to talk about a very simple idea. What are you waiting for? What kind of permission are you waiting for? And why are you not living the life of your dreams right now? Why not? You see, there are so many stories and labels that we put on ourselves. That is crazy. And I thought about this for a long time, and a lot of people got these goals and dreams. Everybody wants the good life, right? Everybody would like to be, you know, wealthy, happy, healthy, have a good, you know, relationship, all these kind of things, but so many people are not actually living it. It's not the result. And why is that? Well, obviously it comes down to, you know, the thoughts, the actions. They're simply not living that type of reality. They're not that type of person who actually attracts and lives such a reality, but what keeps them from actually doing it? There's gonna be a gap that you need to fill to get from point A to point B. But what are you waiting for? Why are you not embodying the person that you want to be today so you can actually start becoming it? Right? What's the permission? What kind of permission are you waiting for? The idea is that you don't need to heal any inner things. You don't need to fucking sort out any limiting beliefs. You already are perfect just the way you are right now. Obviously, nobody's perfect, but that's what makes you a perfect human being. And think about it. If you were to live life with cheat codes, meaning that you would attain everything that you always wanted, right now, it would be quite boring, wouldn't it? Think about it. I had the chance to play some games when I was younger with cheat codes and hacks and, you know, normally would take you like a year to build up to the hundred level. And with cheat codes, you could do it in 10 minutes. And I actually attained like the highest level. And I figured, hey, this is boring. This is fucking boring. This is not why I wanted to play the game. And I just felt this intense sadness and frustration and disappointment. Like, hey, this is. Is there all there is? A lot of people want to live such a life. They want to attain everything overnight. But trust me, it's not fun. So that's why you can start becoming and embodying the person that you want to be today. I'm not saying about, you know, by tomorrow you're actually going to have all those things that this new person has. But what's stopping you from starting the process right now? You know, what kind of permission are you waiting for? Who's going to give you this permission? Right? There's nobody. Nobody, I mean nobody has your best interest in mind. Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying in a bad way, but everybody's got their own shit to deal with, their own life. Everybody cares about themselves, number one. And if you keep blaming the outside sources, it's not going to happen. So make sure that you sit down and make it happen.
