Peter Lohmann shows how to grind a Stanley scraper blade so it sits flush against the window frame. The modified edge lets you pull dried paint off glass in one clean stroke instead of multiple passes.

I've got a Stanley scraper here that I've modified. I ground off the edge here so it's a little bit closer to the corner of the blade, and so when you're scraping paint, it rides right up along the edge that you're trying to clean the paint off of, whereas if you run with this edge that's not modified the blade's too far away to get all the way up there. So over here you can see an edge I haven't done yet. If you just put that blade right up there, you can run right down and get it all in one nice clean pass like that. See how I got it nice and clean? This just pulls right off. So it makes the job a lot easier when you can get all the way up against the edge of the frame.
