Getting out of overwhelming stress [A Year of Surrender- part 16]

A short YouTube video by Peter Svenning (part 16 of 'A Year of Surrender') in which he describes feeling overwhelmed after the holidays and leads a brief guided practice to shift from stress to relaxation using body awareness, breath, and acceptance. He frames the practice within a broader 'year of surrender' theme, offers an anecdote and a coaching claim that 80% of issues fall away with this noticing, and invites viewer feedback.

Hello, my friend, and happy New Year. This is a year of surrender. And I started this journey a month ago, and here I am with part 16 because it's been a long holiday break, and today I actually had three different videos I wanted to shoot for you, and none of them are coming now because I felt, like, an overwhelm pulling up and, like, stacking on itself, and it became stressful. And right now I'm in that state where I'm, like, more tense than I was, than I want to be, because I want to stay too blessed to be stressed. Instead, I'm feeling a little overwhelmed. And all the stuff that's been happening is just good stuff. It's like in Norwegian saying, we have, like, a ketchup bottle. A bottle of ketchup. Nothing comes. Nothing comes. Nothing comes. Everything comes. It's been a beautiful holiday. Two weeks, totally off from everything, enjoying family. And today, bam, a lot happened, and I didn't feel on top of it. I didn't feel like I was controlling it. And I think that's it. So I have a need for control. Most of us do. And that need, when it's not in control, it feels like it's going bananas, overwhelming, and it feels stressful. And I feel like tension is piling up and my shoulders are high. Can you relate? Regardless, I want to let that go because this is my year of surrender. This is the year where I am allowing all the stuff that keeps me away from the loving flow of surrender, of love, of bliss, joy, ease, harmony, fun. Allowing that to drop away. So just now I'm checking in. Where do I feel that stress? It's in my lower back. Okay, that's cool. Where else do I feel that stress? It's in my shoulders, of course. Yes. Very tense. Where else do I feel it's a little bit in my eyes that might also be tiredness in my head. Okay. So wherever I feel it, I just allow it to be here. Just for now. Okay. And acknowledge all of this, whatever it is. It's okay. You're allowed to be here right now. And I'm letting it go all the way back to the bottom of it and in all aspects of me. And all the way back to when it started, originated, whenever that was. And it's okay. Just in this moment, you just thought, okay, That feels good. Feeling it. Some breath right now. Yeah, that feels good. So since this is my year of surrender, I'm sharing what's happening with me. And I also want you to benefit from it. I want you to have something so let's. Those three minutes of me changing a state from overwhelmed and stressed into bliss and blessed. Blessed and blessed and grateful. And how about you? Are you feeling expanded, joyful, relaxed right now, or is there something in the way? If there's something in the way, just for now, let's play with it. Okay? Let's invite that in. Open the door and invite it in. And for now, this is our special guest. Let's keep it in our heart. Say, hey. Hey, brother. Hey, sister. You're okay. I love you. I can acknowledge that you're here, even if. If I don't feel it's cool. I can acknowledge that you're here right now. And I can acknowledge how this is affecting me on many levels in all aspects of myself all the way to the bottom of it and all the history this pattern has had in me all the way back to its origin. And then just let it go. Just for now. It's okay. Just say to yourself, it's okay. Just breathe and relax. And that was less than a minute. How do you feel now? If you didn't actually do it with me for a minute, go back into it and then answer me. Yeah. Comment somewhere where you see this video or listen to this podcast. How do you feel now? Difference. The thing that thing is that 80%, this is from, you know, I'm running my leadership art master coach certification program. And among master coaches, when they work for their clients, if they only do this, of course, they need to find out what's really going on and get to the essence of that. But when they do this, a kind of averse notice that we use in our coaching, 80% of the issues are falling away in a minute. Then the 20% which is left, that's where there's a lot of knowledge and wisdom and insights to gain. That's where we dig deep in that. We have a special technique for that, to release that forever. That's cool. That's why we're changing lives. That's why people are signing up with our coaches left and right and center. It works. That's what I wanted to share with you today. It's a powerful one. How to get out of overwhelming stress and into feeling blissed, blessed and grateful. Because that is your natural state. You don't have to add anything. That's who you are. Much love, my friend. Please leave a comment. Tell me how this was for you, and if you're courageous enough, go back to the practice with me. Much love. Ciao.
