Short conversational excerpt from a YouTube video by Peter Svenning ("Leadership in service - The joy of delegating - Leadership by Heart"). The speakers describe leadership as a form of service that creates opportunities for others, emphasizes giving and receiving (described as "grace"), and frames contributing as a basic human need. They reference Maslow’s hierarchy and Zen to argue that mature leadership moves from self-realization to serving others and entering the marketplace with open hands.

Leadership is basically about service. It is about serving others with our leadership ability. And by serving, we feel this grace coming true. If it doesn't make sense with the words, just feel into. When you're in a position where you're.
Really doing your best and you're giving and giving and giving, you're making opportunities.
For yourself and for others, there is a certain feeling of receiving a great thing, great vibration and great energy. Grace coming true, amazing grace coming true.
And by giving the possibility for others.
To serve as well, you're channeling like you're a whistle, a piper. This falls truth out of the purse to the other person and that person gets the same connection. And that's fun. It's great. It's like the purpose of living almost to be in this space. Oh, yeah, yeah.
Oh.
It's giving and receiving much more than you give.
And when you as a leader can.
Be in a position of putting others.
In the same flow of energy, of.
Love and light, then it flows even.
More through you and you can give even more.
So leadership is serving something greater than.
Ourself and having a great time doing it. And it can also be helping others.
Or supporting others into that position.
So all of those people coming here.
To contribute and be a part also want to have this feeling of I'm a part of something greater, something unfolding.
Like we all have heard about Maslow's.
Pyramid of needs.
And on top is self realization.
But he also made a new version after the one that is publicly known very well, that continues up from here and going up in the next one, which is upside down.
And that is about going from self.
Realization to others realization, helping out. In Zen Buddhism you have like 10 drawings of Zen and the last one is after you kind of come into whatever you desire, like the Buddha state. For some Zen Buddhists, that's number nine. Number 10 is entering the market hand, sorry, entering the marketplace with open hands.
That's what it's all about.
That's the next step. And by being a leader, you're in service for something greater and making others have the same opportunity to be in that service. And all other people coming here will have the desire to be a part of that energy.
It's just the way we communicate.
It's hey, you do that or wow.
This needed to be done. Somebody wants to help me. Meaning all the people, even ordinary participants will have a joy of just contributing.
Contributing is a basic need in all of us. We want to contribute to something greater.
