A short instructional monologue by Phil Risher giving step-by-step, actionable outreach tactics for home-service businesses to rapidly fill technician schedules: 1) call customers who haven't used services in 365 days and offer to stop by; 2) send an email blast with an offer and call everyone who opens it; 3) send targeted texts offering a small discount for nearby visits. The goal is to generate quick bookings so technicians stay busy and paid.

If I was running a home service business right now and I was coming in and I didn't have jobs on the book for my technicians today, here's exactly what I would do. First, go into your CRM and looked at people that have never worked with you in the past year. So they haven't worked you for 365 days. Pick up the phone and call every single one of them and say, hey, it's time to do X, Y and Z service. You haven't done it this year or I'm going to be in your area doing an estimate for X, Y and Z. Do you want me to stop by? Do that now? Because you haven't worked with them in a year, it's probably something you could help them with. Second, create an offer and send an email blast to your database. The offer could be get 10 off this or get priority already scheduling for this or whatever other offer you want to send to them, but send out an email. And everyone that opens that email, call them. Don't be creepy, but call them and say, hey, not sure if you heard or not, we have an offer going on for this. Want to see if I could stop by and take care of this for you? Third, send out a text message to all these people and say, hey, I'm going to be in your area next week doing this service. Do you want me to stop by and take care of it for you? I'll give you 20 bucks off since we don't have to pay for gas. Create offers that's going to get people to say yes and raise their hand. These three things are the quickest way to fill your schedule asap, so that way you don't have to send your technicians home and they don't get paid.
