LIVE DIGITAL MARKETING AUDIT Landscaping Company

Phil Risher conducts a live digital marketing audit (Jobber Blueprint Live) for Primescapes, a lawn care/landscaping company in Washington (Kamano/Komano Island area). He reviews their website and finds weak local SEO (missing/unclear location, unoptimized title tags/meta descriptions/H1s), inconsistent calls-to-action, low Google reviews, and confusing external booking links. He recommends: optimizing title/meta/H1 with city + service, consolidating CTAs to a single primary action, enabling Google Local Services Ads after increasing reviews, avoiding Google Search Ads until the site converts, adding tracking phone numbers/forms and a chat widget, running a monthly newsletter and referral/partnership outreach, and automated post-job texts to request reviews. He offers free 30-minute audits and invites viewers to subscribe.

Spoke at this webinar with Jobber Blueprint Live how to triple your leads and two extra sales. I was auditing websites and I thought it'd be valuable if I go through some websites and just do audits and kind of show you the areas of opportunity to help them get more leads. How if I was working with them, how I would help them 2x their sales and triple their number of leads. And this one, for example, is going to be a lawn care landscaping business. So let's get right into it. All right, let me go here. And this company is called Primescapes. They are in Washington. They do design and install irrigation maintenance, like hardscaping stuff and then some basic design and install and maintenance of lawn care. You can see that their website initially when you come to it, it's nothing really here. It's kind of a weird pulled out wide. And then when we go into their actual services here, they have some call to actions and some pictures. Like I love that they have these, these pictures of their work that's completed. It just is lacking a little bit from the aesthetic perspective. One of the big things when I was coming here to do this audit that I did not see anywhere on their site was where they're located. Literally when I went to contact us, I couldn't see any like city or anything. When I went to the about section, I had to kind of read through the about section to figure out where they're located at. And the services section here you can see it's. They have some nice pictures but it's just not to the level that you want it to be. So some of the ways that they could update this. First, their website is not optimized for local SEO. You can see the title tag meta Description and the H1. This should say professional landscaping services in whatever city they're in in Washington. I think it's Comico island or something like that. Meta description Looking for landscaping in the city. Trust Primescapes for all your hardscaping maintenance, blah blah needs. And then your H1 instead of saying design and install it's like professional landscaping company servicing. Let me find out what this Camino Island, Kamano Island, Washington Basically they put it right here. Expert landscaping in common. Island people don't have to say, well do they? Service area. Who are these people? That kind of stuff. Same thing with all their pages in here. Concrete pavers. Everything should be optimized for their title tag. Meta description should have the service and also it should have the geographical target in there that they serve. Last thing and this is just something that's something just to clean this up. Is this Contact Us knowledge center, current customer careers, all that stuff. I would make one blue button that says contact us or talk to a design consultant or schedule now, whatever. And that's going to be your main call to action because when you go here, you have to go to contact Us, then you have to click this button. Then you go to their job or intake form. It's just a lot of steps for unnecessary things. And the other thing would be on their homepage right here where you say your expert landscaping. Add a quick call to action right here, discuss your project right there. So very simple way to convert more leads. Now the bigger issue I would say is from the off site SEO side of things. So when people go to landscapers, Kamano Island, Washington, there's a couple sections. There's your Google Local service ads, there's your Google search ads, there's your website, your Google Business profile ranking and then your website rankings. So if we just go through this, your Google Local service ads, if you see these are pay per lead, what that means is someone clicks this button to call you. That's when you pay for a lead. And I just pulled it up in their area just to get an idea. So in their area it's 38 to $57 a lead and you can go to ads.google.com home local service ads and just scroll down, you'll see right here you can put in your zip code and pick your service. Basically if this was me, I would say hey, you need to get over seven reviews. So get eight reviews, turn on Google Local service ads and you're going to have the number one position on Google. And anytime you get a lead, you're going to pay let's say 60 bucks for a lead. But if you're doing hardscaping, a couple thousand dollars at least for your jobs. So it's going to pay off. Even if you get five leads and you close one, you might pay $400 and you close one deal and you get $4,000 as a 10x return. So that would be the first thing is when you go here, landscapers Kommino. Now I did pull this up. I was searching for their Google business profile. It was hard to find. They have three Google reviews. So ask five other people that you know or past customers and increase this. The other thing is they have this book online button. This is kind of what I was talking about before. Like this goes to thumbtack when this should go to their jobber. Book online. It's just a little confusing all over the place to go to thumbtack, like have one call to action, send the people there. It's very straightforward. All right, so let's go back here. This is landscaper Kamano Island. We talked about their Google local service ads. We need to get Those over, over seven reviews. Turn them on. $40 for Google search ads. This one I wouldn't turn these on because our website's not optimized for conversions. So you're going to drive traffic to your website or to a landing page and it's not going to convert if it's not set up right. If you drive it to a landing page there's specific things. We made videos about this before but basically like you need a tracking phone number on there, a tracking form right on the first scroll. You need to have things that it just drives traffic directly so that way people can't click around and end up leaving your site. But I wouldn't turn these on because it's going to be a black hole. You're going to spend thousands of dollars and you're not going to have any leads and you're going to get mad at digital marketing. So don't turn those on for your Google business profile. Very similar. You can see like Augusta. I mean I'm sure in the lawn care space we all know Augusta. Mike Andes. But the other companies on here, like they have six reviews. So basically what I'm saying is if you get over six reviews then and you optimize your stuff properly, there's no reason why you shouldn't be in this section as well. So you could be in this section for free. You can, don't do this. You can be in this section for free. And then if you optimize your website properly like Augusta or this one, Callens, calandscaping washington.com Landscape Construction, Kamano Island. This is literally their title tag. You can see you could be in all three of those sections for free. That way when someone searches in your local area you are shown and then people go to your website and they convert into a lead. The other thing, and I'm not sure if they do this or not, but this is the customer journey that we look at is visibility conversions, retargeting visibility. People search online for a service that you offer in your area. You can do organic search, you can run ads, you can build B2B partners. So one of the things I noticed on here was that they don't do general mo and blows or those types of Services, gutter cleaning, any of the other type of lawn care they might. They do mostly landscaping. So a big one for this would be go and find a bunch of these lawn care companies that don't do hardscaping or the other bigger ticket items and partner with them, build a list of them, send them an email, build a relationship. Do a monthly newsletter to those people staying top of mind. Bring them back into your funnel. It's a, it's a great way to keep your hopper full and you don't have to fight for every single job. You just get referred in. So visibility. There's a couple things on there. Conversions we talked about adding, updating their website. I would definitely add a chat widget over here so people can ask questions, they can text in pictures, have a call to action right here and then retargeting. Have a monthly newsletter that goes out to all your clients because you may do maintenance for them but they don't know that you also do fences and woodwork so you can cross sell that. They also might not know that you do water features so you can cross sell those services. You have 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 services that each month you could cross sell a different service throughout the year and then the other four months maybe you're doing promos or specials or just educating them about things. So a monthly newsletter is huge to stay top of mind. Not only does it bring people back into your funnel, whether their prospects are customers, but it also keeps you top of mind for referrals. Text marketing if you do a job for someone a year or six months later, you should just check in with them and have a text automated that says hey, we did X, Y and Z for you a couple months back. Just want to see how it's holding up. It's just really good service and people are like wow, what a great company. It just sticks out and ask for a review on this automation as well. So that's a basic marketing plan from a long care company. We work with long care companies. We have really good success with them because a lot of times they don't do these basic things of like getting reviews, getting Google local service ads set up, optimizing for local search. Like the basic things, we crush it. So if you're interested, we do free marketing audits like this. Like we'll hop on a call, talk about your business. Usually they're like 30 minutes. We get ideas, strategies, whether we work together or not. You get a lot of takeaways. I'll put a link down below if not. And you like content like this? Hit like and subscribe.
