YouTube case study by Phil Risher (Phlash Consulting) showing a home-service client’s lead flow increased by ~50% over three months through SEO improvements and website conversion optimizations. Phil presents ranking changes (keywords in positions 1 and 2–5), CRM-derived traffic and conversion-rate figures for June–September, and raw lead counts (June 157 → August 235). He emphasizes tracking via CRM, on-site CTAs (chat, calculators), localized keyword targeting across services and service areas, and biweekly reporting.

Three months of working with this home service business, we increased their lead flow by 50%. And I'm going to show you the actual case study of what happened. All right, so let's go through this. This is the review that the business owner left us. Great company to work with. Leslie and Phil have been instrumental in helping our company take our digital marketing, SEO and SEM to the next level. Highly recommend using them, especially if you're a B2C contractor. And then he screenshot some of these reports. So these are our SEO reports where we track our rankings. I'm going to show you the actual real numbers after I show you that ranking performance. So what he's showing in his Google review is when we first ran this report, they had 40 keywords in position one. And these keywords are like the service that they offer in their target service areas. So usually we take 3 or 4 of their target services and put them in their target service area. So you have 40 in position one, 73 and two through five. And now they have 64 in position one and 142 in two through five. So basically it went from 40 to 64, 73 to 142. And these are going to be again, all the different services. So usually three or four different services in conjunction with 10 to 15 different service areas. And then it plots it out on their rankings. So part of what we do is help increase the rankings from a visibility perspective. The other thing that we do is we go to the website and we tweak conversion rates. So I'm going to show you some of the real numbers here. We actually pulled these numbers using their CRM data. Because when I was in the trades, this was my biggest frustration was like the digital marketing company didn't actually know if what they were doing was working or not. And so we go in and pull people's data. So the first thing I want to show you is this is called conversion rate percentage. What this is showing is that they had in June, when we first started working with them, we ran this report. They had 1,332 people to their website, and they converted 11.7% of those people into leads. So 1300 people to the website, 11% of them into leads. If you notice, in July, they had a little bit less people to their website and they almost doubled their conversion rate. Some of the things that we talk about on this channel are on our YouTube channel is Conversions based off of adding call to actions to the website, getting better traffic to the website. So for example, they went down 200 visitors, but their conversion rate went up double because now they're getting localized traffic from better rankings. So adding web chat to your website, adding estimate calculators, having the right call to actions in the right places. So that way you're converting leads. And then you can see in August their site traffic went down again and they, but they still got 21% conversion rate. And then September, we're in mid September right now, but we haven't run this. We run these bi weekly. So mid month and end of the month, but they're probably going to be up over a thousand, maybe eleven hundred, twelve hundred people and at 21% conversion rate again. So what does this actually mean? If we look at their actual lead flow coming into the business in June, they had 157 leads. In July, 216 in August, 235. So that's a 50% increase in lead flow from 157 to 235. It's an additional like 78 leads. So that's 50% more leads in September. In August, excuse me. And you see, September is probably going to be right around there as well. So usually this company doesn't have historical data here, but usually if they had historical data, you'd be able to dissect the numbers and figure out is this great? Is this on par, is it not so if you're looking for results like this for your business, this is the level of granular that we get into pulling data, tracking our performance, increasing rankings, increasing visibility, but ultimately getting more leads for businesses and helping them grow their business. I'll put a link down below. Look forward to hearing from you. Have a great day.
