A short PSA-style YouTube video by Phil Risher warning that Google is making unauthorized changes to Google Business Profiles (names, websites, services), removing reviews, and suspending accounts. He reports client examples (e.g., service swapped from "carpet cleaning" to "rug cleaning"), advises business owners to audit their profiles regularly, request reviews in settings if changes occur, and address suspensions promptly.

If you have not yet, go check your Google business profile. Google is going around changing people's names. You can see in this Twitter post here. Changing people's websites, changing people's services, suspending accounts, removing reviews. What we found with the clients that we work with is that Google is changing whatever they want and they're not telling the customer or the end user that they are changing the information. It's only when we go in and do our monthly audits that we see, wow, Google just changed our address. Google just changed the services in totality. We had one client that does carpet cleaning and they don't do rug cleaning and they literally swapped them out and said that they do rug cleaning and they wouldn't allow us to add carpet cleaning back. So Google is going through a shift right now. If you haven't checked your Google business profile, they are changing all of these things. If it has been changed, you can go into the settings and you can request a review from Google to have things updated. And if your account is suspended, you need to go in quickly and get that updated because Google is going around suspending accounts randomly. This is an announcement. Good luck.
