Phil Risher explains Clicky, a referral system where customers get paid $1 per click instead of you paying Google for leads. He sent so many Venmo payments during the experiment that it became his main way to distribute referral rewards.
Who loves paying Google. Almost nobody would much rather just pay this cash to my customers instead. And that was the birth of the idea for Clicky. And it literally started like, pay per click. And I gave all of our customers links and said, hey, we'll pay you a dollar for every click we're paying Google. We might as well pay you. People posted their links and they cashed out. So I here I am, like, sending hundreds of venmos to people.
The companies that win the next five years won't be the ones gaming the system.
