A brief YouTube #short by Phil Risher advising home-service businesses to stop judging performance only by bank-account balances and instead track specific CRM reports. He names four core reports to monitor—new customer report, leads (year-over-year), estimate count, and close rate—and adds average ticket as a bonus. He warns that bad data causes bad decisions and offers help via direct contact.

Home service businesses are losing thousands of dollars every single month because they don't look at these four reports in their CRM. There's the new customer report. Most people just look at if their business is growing or not, but they're not looking at if their marketing is actually bringing in new customers. The other one they need to look at is the leads number. They need to look at the number of leads year over year. Because if you're not growing the number of leads, then you're maybe not growing your business. Same thing with estimate count. So if you didn't do enough estimates, you're not going to grow your business. You got 80 estimates last year and you got 100 this year. You're growing at 20%. And then the last one is your close rate. Most companies are going to be looking at their close rate, but if you're not, you're missing out on a ton of opportunity. Because even if you just twe 10, 12, 15% close rate higher, you could literally double your revenue just by increasing your close rate. I'll give you one other bonus, one, which is your average ticket. If you don't know what your average ticket is, you're missing out. Don't get stuck with bad data, because bad data leads to bad decisions. And if you're not using your data to grow your business, your marketing company is probably letting you down. Shoot me a message and I'll show you exactly how we help companies grow with their data.
