Short YouTube video (Phil Risher, Jun 14, 2025) advising home-service and roofing businesses on what actually costs them sales: not price but poor process. Recommends explaining three client-facing elements — (1) production process (step-by-step expectations, permits, materials, project manager), (2) billing process (payment expectations, financing, deposit policies), and (3) insurance/restoration process — to establish value, reduce objections, and make clients comfortable before asking for the sale.

In the roofing, there's three elements. Two of them are all across home services. One is the production process. Explain to the client the process. Once you make your decision, decide to work with us, this is what you can expect. We're going to do this. We're going to pull permits, we're going to order the materials. I'm going to show up project manager. So, like, have a slide with, like, step by step to explain that makes people feel really comfortable. Like, wow, this company actually knows what the heck they're doing. I didn't just call Chuck in a truck, Right. The next component is the billing process. We got to be able to explain, like, how did the money work, what the expectations are. This is where there's like, no, it's the most money in the world. I get it. You got to get comfortable with that. Everybody has different process there. Like, I don't need half down. Once you're 100% satisfied, we'll get the rest. Offer financing, all the things you should be doing during your sales process. The third component is explaining the insurance. If you're doing insurance work or restoration work, we explain those three processes thoroughly. We sell the story, establishing value, getting rid of as many objections as possible leading up to where they're comfortable when you ask them for the story.
