Do a series of shorts on some quotes I've seen that I really like. I've got a call today. Talk. What did I let control me today? Marcus Aurelius, which I've just finished reading his Vantage book. Very good. During one of his campaigns, he didn't dwell on what went wrong for the day during his battles. He simply wrote in his journal, what did I let control me today? So all the little things, you know what this means is all the little things that you let live rent free in your head control you. You dwell on them and they're not important. So he would look at what did I let control me today? And get rid of that out of his head so he could focus on the important. You know, an email, something someone said in passing, a fight with your spouse. A lot of those things you don't really control, they happen to you. Or maybe someone you know cut you off in traffic and all that, and you dwell on it and you let those ideas and things live rent free in your head and it affects your entire day. You're the next day, the next week. So this goes kind of back to. Does go back to our talk. Control the controllables, but don't let things live rent free in your head. Get rid of it if you need to, journal it and write about it and scratch it out if you need to. Just meditate for a minute if you need to. You know, whatever it takes to clear your head from those things, knowing that you don't control those items, they happen to you and you don't want to let them control you. So take care of those. You will live a much better life, a much more, a much less stressful life, you know, and I, I'm just as guilty as anyone. I let things, I get so mad about stuff. And generally it works out, you know, dealing with clients, staff, underwriters and issues. But when you realize a lot of times it's these are just small things and you let them ruin your day or potentially ruin your day for no good reason. Think about that. So every day think about what did I let control me today? And how you can just get rid of that stuff from living rent free in your head.
